With God, nothing is impossible

I guess the Lord is taking me on a journey of learning to trust Him like never before. I was telling the Lord today,” I’ve had enough of this nonsense happening in my life. Enough is enough! I want to see the manifestation of miracles in my life.”

Suddenly, a voice in me whispered.”You are living the miracles, my dear.”

Some of us may go through certain seasons in life, and we are so overwhelmed with things around us that we want God to do something for us. We want some divine intervention. Some supernatural visitation. We want to see some open doors. But sadly, we don’t see them.

How do we respond when we don’t see the supernatural taking place? How do we respond when we don’t see what God sees.

Instead, the mess becomes messier and messier. I cried out to the Lord today and sincerely told God. ” I am backing off, Lord. You take charge of my life. You take charge of the situation I am going through. Let you reign in my life. I can’t take this battle anymore.”

”The battle was never yours, R.J.,” says the Holy Spirit.

Immediately, the Holy Spirit led me to open my Bible to this scripture below.

Luke chapter 1: 37 For with God nothing will be impossible.

I was trying to understand why God said nothing is impossible. I tried reading the verses before in the same passage in the book of Luke.

Luke chap 1: 34-36 Then Mary said to the angel,” How can this be since I do not know a man?” And the angel answered and said to her,”The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and therefore also that Holy One who is to be born will be called Son of God. Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age, and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren.

I realize this was an impossible situation. Only God can come to pass in an impossible situation. One was Mary, a virgin. She conceived by the grace of God. Second Elizabeth in her old age conceived a son. This could only be achieved by the power of the Holy Spirit. Both this women of God had divine encounter with the Holy Spirit.

Well, it is easy for anyone to just say it. With God, nothing will be impossible. But I realize through this passage there is a key behind it. It has to be the Holy Spirit giving the impossible.

Today, I surrendered my life unto the Lord Jesus Christ. The only solution is knowing this person Holy Spirit once again.

”Abba, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I thank you for the power of the Holy Spirit upon me, that I can do great and mighty things, and the glory goes back to you. Abba I surrender this writings into your hands. Use it for your glory.” Amen

If you are someone here going through a certain season in your life, be assured the Lord is with you. He will carry you through the seasons of life. When there is no solution, the solution is Jesus Christ. His word will never fail. Spend time knowing this person Holy Spirit. There is power when His presence is acknowledged.

With God,Nothing is Impossible-R.J.JOHN

He who is Faithful will do it.

When I woke up this morning, I was just moved to drive down to a beach. It was raining heavily, but I was just moved to go ahead. I took my Bible and my keys and just drove down straight.

I wanted to have this quiet moment with the Lord. In the hustle and bustle of life, I realize I have focused so much on issues that I was just longing for this quiet moment with the Holy Spirit. Thankfully, when I reached, the rain subsided.

As I meditated upon the Word of God, the Holy Spirit led me to read the Book of Romans. Reading through the Bible chapters in a quiet place was very refreshing. This verse caught my attention.

Romans chap 8: 6 (NIV)

For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

I wanted to understand this verse further, so I tried reading part of the chapter in the message translation.

Romans chap 8:5-8 (Message)

5-8 Those who think they can do it on their own end up obsessed with measuring their own moral muscle but never get around to exercising it in real life. Those who trust God’s action in them find that God’s Spirit is in them—living and breathing God! Obsession with self in these matters is a dead end; attention to God leads us out into the open, into a spacious, free life. Focusing on the self is the opposite of focusing on God. Anyone completely absorbed in self ignores God and ends up thinking more about self than God. That person ignores who God is and what he is doing. And God isn’t pleased at being ignored.

While meditating on this verse, I realized focusing on self is the opposite of focusing on God. When we are carnally minded, meaning our focus in life is just about us. Our job, achievements, family, finances, and children. We measure our success by how the world measures them. We focus on the Law and operate according to the logical senses of our human body. We try fixing things or situations. We focus so much on self, meaning we focus so much on the problems. Without realizing it, we become worn out. We become tired daily. We clock in and clock out daily. Tired within ourselves.

Our prayers have been around the same issue for months, probably years. The mess ends up getting bigger and bigger. It has become a bondage, and you may feel trapped. How do we stop this cycle?

The Holy Spirit reminded me today. The only solution is to be spiritually minded. Being spiritually minded gives us the peace and life needed. I asked the Holy Spirit, how do I do this? How do I become spiritually minded?

I had a moment this morning with the Holy Spirit and told Him there is no way I can fix this current situation except that You can do it. It was just beyond my human capabilities. I was trying to add all the maths needed, but I realized it was to no avail. I was just lifting my hands unto the Lord as a posture of surrender. This posture of surrender gave me the peace I needed, knowing every detail of my life was well taken care of.

I believe someone out there who is reading today’s note is at a crossroads in life. You may be going through a health challenge, relationship issues, or financial struggle, one way or another. I would like to encourage my readers to take a few minutes in a day to come before the Lord in a posture of surrendering unto the Lord. There is ultimate power in surrender.

Spend time in reading the Word of God. We have to prepare our hearts to know this God that we serve. The Gospel was never meant to be complicated. If you have a situation where you need God to come to pass in your life, shift your focus to God and not problem. How do we shift our focus to God? It returns to the basics, which take time to read the Bible daily. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the Gospel’s insights and mysteries of the Word of God.

John chap 1:1 ;In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God

Most of us spend so much time thinking and crying over a problem we face. It doesn’t work that way. We pray and pray over the same problem and end up becoming more worried about the situation. When we bring a situation unto the Lord, we must have faith we have totally surrendered the situation unto the Lord. There must be peace in our hearts. Spend time with the Holy Spirit. If you speak in tongues, spend time speaking in tongues. Minimum of 15-30 minutes a day.

Acts chap 2: 4; And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Have family prayers together. Families that pray together encourage each other to stay focused on the Lord. One person needs to take the lead.Don’t expect your husbands or someone else to do it. You have to take the initiative.

Attend church together. If you have been comfortable with online services, it is time to attend a local church nearby. It is necessary for your spiritual growth.

Always know our inheritance comes from the Lord. We are children of God. We can always go to Him in a posture of surrender, knowing He who is faithful will do it for us.

Matthew 19 : 26 (NIV); Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

Zechariah 4:6(NIV) ; So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.

Acts 1:8 ; (NIV) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Say this today: I thank you, Lord, you are faithful, and You will do it.-R.J.JOHN

Prayer for today: Abba Father, I thank you, Lord, for all my readers. You guide them through each situation of their lives. I pray for an encounter with the Holy Spirit as they read and meditate again upon this note today. I pray, Lord, you open their hearts to receive from you. Amen

Throw your nets on the other side!

James chap 1:5 (NIV) ”If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

I was asking the Lord what I should write today. The Lord clearly told me to write on the wisdom of God.

The word wisdom goes back to the original meaning in Greek, which means ”Sophia”.

Sophia is theoretical wisdom. Meaning insight into reality. It is a collective understanding of things.

We have seen many people with various different challenges around the world. Some may be in between jobs, facing different challenges along the way. They try to do something. But they always fall into some trouble. It may be over a decade, from one year to two years, and the same person keeps falling into trouble.

Most of the time, we believe it is a financial problem. A wrong belief system has been planted in us for years. We ask God for financial blessing. We pray and pray for a financial breakthrough. We pray and pray and sacrifice unto the Lord.

Or we may just be wrestling with the unknown spiritual world. We believe it is the work of the devil. Hence, we try fighting the devil. As a result, frustration and depression crawl in. Forgetting that the Lord has done it for us centuries ago. That is sending his only son, the Lord Jesus Christ, for us. Acknowledging the Lordship of Jesus Christ over our lives cancels off every single curse or sin from the past. Recognizing it allows us to live as victors in Christ.

But actually, most of the time, it is the wisdom of God that is needed to adhere to every situation in our life. Christians become victims of situations in life when we don’t know our identity in Christ.

In my journey of knowing the Lord, I have come to realize that insight into reality is the most significant gift God has given to each of us. Knowing the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour, we have an added advantage in our life, that is, knowing that there is a gift in us called Sophia.

I am in the midst of completing a project. Deep down inside my heart, I know it is from the Lord, but I realize I have been doing the same merry-go-round and cannot find the right solution to complete them.

Today, I decided to pen down and ask the Lord for wisdom.

”Abba, give me the wisdom needed to complete what is given to me. Help me remove all negative thoughts from my mind and help me surrender this whole project to you, Lord.Amen.”

After I penned down this prayer, the Holy Spirit nudged me ”Throw your nets on the other side, R.J.”

Let me take you to our very old Sunday school story. The story of throwing our nets to the other side. I believe Christians grew up with this Sunday School story. Let me share with you what is the insight on this story.

The fishermans and Jesus. In this story, we see the fishermen trying to catch fishes. I believe they were trained in their field of work. Their occupation was fishermen. I am sure they were trained on what time and which area to catch their fish. They have probably fished for years. It was their strategy of getting the most from that day. I believe they had their own belief system. But sadly, they didn’t catch any fish. Let us read the passage of the Bible together.

John chap 21 :3 -7( NIV)

“I’m going out to fish,” Simon Peter told them, and they said, “We’ll go with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize it was Jesus. He called out to them, “Friends, haven’t you any fish?” “No,” they answered. He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.”

When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish. Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, “It is the Lord,” he wrapped his outer garment around him (for he had taken it off) and jumped into the water.

Jesus asked them to throw the nets on the other side. Isn’t that the wisdom of God? It was a different side. The fisherman didn’t need to ride the boat to another corner of the lake; instead, in this story, he just needed to throw the net on the other side.

It was a different habit totally. The other side. It was a different way of doing things altogether.

When I was meditating on this passage, I realized that when God calls us to do something, the key is obedience; most of the time, it is near to us.

What if Peter the fisherman responded, saying,” Oh, I know that side won’t give me results?”They would have continued fishing, wasting their time and energy and not finding any fish.

Does this sound familiar to you? We assume certain things don’t work. We want it our way. Hence, it is always the same mess.

Recognizing the call of God, being obedient to the Lord, and taking practical steps in changing our habits are the key to growing in the Wisdom of God.

Habits can be a fundamental way of living our life. It can be as simple as eating habits, a healthy lifestyle, or if you have skipped church for a long time. It is time to attend church back. Remember, you cannot expect a change in your life when you keep repeating the same thing and expecting God to give you a miracle. That is total foolishness!

If you are in a situation where you want to do many great things in life. But you are so afraid of taking the first step to materialize it; this is your time to invite the Lord into whatever you do.

When we invite the Lord into the work or project we are working on, remember this, our old ways have to change. If you have not opened the project, it is time to open it. Open the story back. Trust God is in the story.

Most of the time, we think we know it all because we have been Christians for many years. But most of the time, when we ask God for wisdom, there will be new habits, new patterns, renewed ways of thinking, and new ways of doing things.

Hence, if you have been tied up with something for years and don’t see a solution, Spend time with the Lord. Open the Bible and spend time meditating on the Word of God. Refuse to believe in the lies of the devil.Enough is enough!

My mum always tells me all the answers are in the bible. I should personally spend more time meditating on the Word of God myself.

If you’re in this situation of “conceptualizing” and not “acting,” begin having daily meditation sessions on the Word. How do we meditate on the Word? Have one verse a week or a verse a day. Memorize and meditate on the verse. Pray on the verse. Take time to memorize and repeat it daily in your mind.

If you are in a circle of problems for an extended period, it is time to throw your nets on the other side. When you throw the nets on the other side, there will be new habits, new ways of doing things, new mindsets, and new opportunities await you.

I hope this note blessed you. Please help me share this note with your loved one! I believe this note will bless someone who needs to hear the only solution they need is simply throwing the net to the other side.

Say this today: Thank you, Lord, for the gift of Wisdom in my life.-R.J.JOHN

Prayer for today: ”Abba Father, I thank you, Lord, for this Rhema.Insight into reality. I pray, Lord, for all my readers, the grace of throwing the nets on the other side. I pray they will be able to recognize the other side and be obedient to move to the next season of their life. I pray, Lord, for new opportunities await them.” Amen.

Journey of Grace

”Abba Father, I thank you for this journey of grace.”-R.J.JOHN

It has been nearly a decade since I knew this calling was from the Lord. I knew I had to write for the Lord. Every note that I pen down is for the Lord. Today, I wanted to share with my readers on this journey called grace.

I am a medical doctor by profession. It has always been my passion to see patients getting well. But beyond just treating the patient, I have realized that health is beyond the physical; it goes back to a person’s emotional and spiritual well-being.

The World Health Organisation defines health as a complete physical, mental, and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. So basically, being in the medical field, I have come to realize that healthcare is not just meant to treat patients but also to ensure the social well-being of a person, as this also contributes to a person’s health.

I was a medical student when God called me to write for Him. At that moment, I wondered how to become a doctor and a writer. When I look back at my journey now, God works miraculously. But deep down in my heart, I know there is more to go.

The Lord opened a door of opportunity for me to specialize in Public Health Medicine.CEA Winslow, a renowned professor who launched public health at Yale University a century ago, defines public health as “The science and art of preventing disease, prolonging life, and promoting health through organized efforts and informed choices of society, organizations, public and private communities, and individuals.”

After joining the field, I realized that public health is the way forward to ensure everyone receives the art of preventing disease. What does the Bible say about health?

The greatest blessing the Lord has given to us when we are on earth is our physical bodies. The bodies are significant; the Lord wants us to care for them.

1st Corinthians chap 16 (NIV) ” Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.”

1st Corinthians chap 10:31 (ESV) ”So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. ”

Proverbs chap 17:22 (ESV) ” A joyful heart is a good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”

Psalms 147:3 ”He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wound.

Proverbs 18:21 (NIV) ”The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

Even as I wrote this note, the Holy Spirit reminded me of God’s perfect plan in the Garden of Eve before humankind fell into sin. The Lord was satisfied with everything He created. God’s plan is for everyone to be in perfect health.

If you are struggling with a health challenge, practice blessing yourself more. Remember, you are the child of God. Do not function from a victim mindset. The devil wants us to be the victim. But the Lord reminds us we are victors in Christ. See the blessing despite the struggles that you may be facing today. The Lord is good in your life. His plan is to always give us a future and hope.

The Lord has even called me to write in the medical field. I spend hours in front of my research work, and I realize it is not for me but for the Lord. Much writing is involved in Public Health Medicine. It is challenging, but the Lord reminded me that His grace is sufficient.

I would always feel small whenever I am with the top giants in the medical field, but the Lord reminded me today that it is a journey of grace. Saying yes to the Lord requires obedience, persistence, and perseverance. I wanted to give up many times, but I must constantly remind myself this journey is for the Lord.

I am unsure if you are going through a particular phase in your life. Being obedient to your call opens doors of opportunities.

I encourage my readers to commit their work unto the Lord.

Whatever talents the Lord gives must be used back in the house of the Lord. It must be given back to the Lord. Once we have this conviction that it is for the Lord, the Lord will magnify what is given to us.

Don’t journey life alone. The Lord is with us. His grace is sufficient.

Say this today: I thank you, Lord, for this journey called grace.-R.J.JOHN

Prayer for today: I thank you, Lord, for my readers. I commit them unto you, Lord. I pray, Lord, for this journey, call grace upon each of their lives. I pray, Lord, you will never leave them nor forsake them.Abba, I submit my writings unto you, Lord. Amen.

Application

Take positive lifestyle modifications to improve your quality of Life. Bless yourself more.

Put God incharge of your Work!

Proverbs chap 16:3 (KJV) ”Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.”

The Lord reminded me this morning to commit my work unto the Lord. I read the same verse in the message translation.

Proverbs chap 16:3 (MSG) Put God in charge of your work, then what you’ve planned will take place.

I realize this work here can be anything important to us. Whichever place the Lord has placed you, there is a work that needs to be carried out.

It can be a business of your own. You are trying to make ends meet, and you might face challenges in one way or another.

You may be an employee today and be facing a challenge to complete a specific project given to you.

There may be a certain delay in completing your project at the workplace.

Or it may be some start-ups that you keep trying to start something. It fails. You start something. It fails again. You get mocked by your loved ones as you cannot provide for the family. You may feel it is the same cycle over and over again.

2nd Corinthians chap 12:9a (NIV); But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

Your weakness today might be a huge struggle for you. You may feel it is tough. It is challenging. You may not have the resources needed. You may not have the sufficient skills to carry them out. You may feel very alone in a particular journey you are going through. You may not even have the time you need to complete them.

But the Good Lord reminded me today that His grace is sufficient.

That area where you are struggling today will be a testimony as it is a platform for the Lord to reveal His Glory.

Have you all been in a situation where you are trying so hard to do or complete something but are facing a struggle in one way or another?

There have been delays in every area of your life, and you wonder what went wrong. You may have lost yourself all these years of trying to achieve something beyond your human capabilities. Inferiority and insecurity crept in. The devil has been planting all kinds of unnecessary thoughts in your mind that you find it so difficult to move forward in life.

Sometimes, the best is coming back to the Lord. Setting apart time to read the Bible and go into a time of total surrender unto the Lord. When we talk about surrender, we come to a point of giving the situation to the Lord. We stop making plans and timelines on our own.

Dear readers, I encourage you to meditate upon this verse.

Psalm 37:5 (NLT) ” Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you.”

Every day is a gift from the Lord. We must be excited to put God in charge of our work. Working on our strengths may tire us and make us to be frustrated in life. As a result, we see others going ahead of us. Subconsciously, we created a victim mindset. This is definitely not from God.

Most importantly, we do not compare with others but value what God has given us as a gift. Recognize the plans of God in everything we do. He will not leave us, nor will He forsake us.

There is power when we learn to submit our work unto the Lord. When we learn to submit unto the Lord, there will be little murmuring and complaining, and more work will be done. The devil wants us to focus on our weaknesses. The Lord wants us to focus on His grace.

Moving ahead in the following months of 2024, let us learn to commit unto the Lord our work. We spend most of our time at the workplace. Let the Good Lord take care of any workplace projects, assignments, or needs. We submit unto the Lord.

Living the let-go life is the best life anyone can live. This life helps us understand that the Lord controls our lives. We stop doing things according to our own plans. We don’t struggle to make a living. His grace is sufficient.

Say this today: ”Abba, thank you for being in charge of my work.”-R.J.JOHN

Prayer for today: ”Abba, I thank you, Lord, you are faithful. You are good always. I commit my readers unto your hands. You know their works. The needs and the struggles of each of them. I pray Lord there will be testimonies in the remaining months of this year as we all learn to commit every detail of our life unto your hands O God.”Amen

The Empty Tomb

The empty tomb reminds us there is power in resurrection. I firmly believe Christianity begins after the resurrection. Easter reminds us to worship the one faithful Lord, Jesus Christ.

I recall my walk with the Lord and asked the Holy Spirit what is new for this year’s Easter? What is the significance of the Empty Tomb in my life today?

The Holy Spirit reminded me the Lord redeems. I have come to realize life’s challenges and realities have pushed me down a lot, and I have to admit, at times, I have lost the courage and passion I once had in the Lord.

Looking back, I wonder where all the passion and excitement for the Lord go?

If there is one thing that can be restored in my life, I ask the Lord for the zeal I used to have. Zeal to come close to the Lord, knowing He is the Alpha and Omega of my life.Zeal to worship Him.Zeal to just surrender unto Him in all situations.

I know my Jesus heals. I know my Jesus restores. I know my Jesus redeems.

The Holy Spirit reminded me to go back unto the Lord. Sometimes, the only way to solve issues in life is to completely surrender to the will of God.

This Easter would be a season where we know we can return to the Lord. The Lord says this season would be a season of miracles and restoration.

John 11:25-26: “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die, and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

Romans 6:9: “We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him.”

I meditated upon the verses above, and the Holy Spirit reminded me that we can never die in our Spirit. Our Spirit will always be alive. And this can only take place when we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as a personal savior.

Rising from the dead reminds us that a supernatural intervention took place. He also wants to be seen among the people on Earth, so he appears to some people after the resurrection.

Mark chap 16 14; ” Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.

At first, the disciples doubted the risen Christ. Jesus had to rebuke them for their lack of faith. But the Lord reminded the disciples there were signs to follow to those who believed.

Mark chap 16: 15- 18;” He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

After the resurrection, Jesus appeared to the disciples, and there was something Jesus told the disciples to do. He asked them to go into the world and preach the Gospel. Those who believe will be baptized and saved. Four signs would follow those who believe.

  1. They will drive out demons
  2. They will speak in new tongues.
  3. They would not be hurt with any deadly poison. Divine protection
  4. When they place their hands on sick, they will get well. Divine healing

You may be in a challenging situation today. There may be demonic bondage that has trapped you in a situation. This Easter, I want to remind you that the Lord redeems. You have all the authority you have to drive out the demons out of your life. Jesus has done everything on the cross. The authority and liberty to change the situation is in your hands.

Like the disciples, they were rebuked by Jesus because of their unbelief. Does it sound like some of us today? We know we have a Lord. But why are we surrounded with doubts about this resurrected Jesus? Why do we doubt that He can solve our issues in life?

You may need divine provision.

You may need a healing.

You may just need peace in life.

You may need strength.

You may just want to move on to the next season of life.

Why doubt God?

Our body may be alive, but deep inside, we may feel we are dead in our spirit. There is no life, no joy, and no excitement in life. I pray this Easter season will be where we can remind ourselves that there is power in resurrection. Jesus died and was resurrected to show us the Gospel. There would not be any Gospel today if He did not resurrect back.

Dear readers, there is power in resurrection. We need to remind each other that there are signs that would follow those who believe. If you don’t see the sign, continue pressing on unto the Lord until you see these signs take place. Believe this, you belong to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Refuse to allow any second of your life to be dominated by the power of darkness. Enough is enough!

The Empty Tomb reminds us, there is no reason for us to be worried of anything in life.Jesus takes care.

The Gospel is the truth. And the truth will set us free! Never give up on the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord reigns!

Blessed Easter everyone!

Have a great celebration.-R.J.JOHN

Dear Holy Spirit

Today, I woke up remembering the work of the Holy Spirit in my life. I was just moved to acknowledge His presence in my life. The word Koinonia came deep into my Spirit today.

”Koinoina” is a Greek word that means fellowship/communion. As believers in Christ, having this daily Koinoina moment with the Holy Spirit is essential.

In the hustle and bustle of life, we tend to put the Holy Spirit last in our lives. We want to get to our jobs on time; we are just busy working, and sometimes, we overlook the time we are supposed to spend with the Holy Spirit. Commitments, challenges, and disappointments in life may have stopped us from having this fellowship with the Holy Spirit.

I believe Jesus himself had his Konoina moment.

Mark chap 1 35:” Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went to a solitary place, where he prayed.”

If we continue reading this chapter, Jesus continues doing his ministry after his quiet time: preaching, healing the sick, and casting out demons. I believe Jesus needed to have his Konoina moment with the Holy Spirit. He needs to carry his ministry here on earth.

What are the results of Koinonia? What actually happens when we have this fellowship with the Holy Spirit?

Like what Jesus did, early in the morning, he took the time to commune and pray, and as a result, he could do his ministry. Many of us run rushing down, doing many things on our own. We want to get certain things done in life. We seek the expert and find practical ways of solving issues in life, but we tend to forgo this Koinoina moment with the Holy Spirit.

I would like to encourage my readers here today. If you face a particular uncertainty in life today, I want us to set aside time for this Koinonia moment with the Holy Spirit. We have to take the time to pause, reflect on our lives, and acknowledge His presence in everything we do.

John chap 15: 5; ‘I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing.

If you have not been bearing fruit in your life or have been struggling for some time now, the verse above is an explicit instruction to all of us, reminding us that we cannot do anything without Him. We may be churchgoers or serve in Church, but if we don’t set aside time for this Koinonia moment with the Holy Spirit, it will be the same cycle of struggle and brokenness. I also firmly believe that when we come before the Lord, we must be able to empty our own mindsets and belief systems that we have built in ourselves for years. We must be ready to empty ourselves and let His will be done in our lives.

Most of the time, the biggest hurdles to our breakthroughs or miracles in life are our own mindsets and wrong belief systems that we built in our minds and selves all the years. Most of us have framed God the way we want Him to be. But that is not supposed to be the way. We are to surrender unto Him and let His will take place.

It is the last week before Christians worldwide celebrate Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Let this one week be where we set apart this week, to seek Him like never before in our Christian walk.

My mum always tells me,” All the answers are in the Bible.”Let us all take time to seriously read the Bible.

Let us meditate on the Word of God and spend time with the Holy Spirit. Let us specifically dedicate this week to the Lord. Let us thank God for His will to be done in our lives.

Say this today: ”I thank you, Holy Spirit, for this fellowship I have with you.”-R.J.JOHN.

Prayer for today: ”Abba Father, I thank you, Lord, for you are good in my life. I thank you, Lord, for all my readers today. I pray, Lord, as they take time to seek You, You will speak to them in dreams and visions. I pray this week will be a life-changing experience for them. All I ask and pray.Amen

Application: Set aside time early in the morning to read the Bible and spend time with the Holy Spirit. Start with worship songs and praising God. Choose one book of the bible. Maybe you can start with the book of John. Empty your mind and just surrender unto the will of God. If you speak in tongues, spend time speaking in tongues at least a minimum of 15 minutes a day. After praying, take some time to just quiet down and listen to the Holy Spirit. Fellowship is both ways. We talk to the Lord, and He will talk to us back.

Gratitude

Today, I was moved to write a note to the Lord to thank Him. The word gratitude came close to my heart.

The word gratitude is derived from the Latin word gratia, which means grace, graciousness, or gratefulness (depending on the context). With gratitude, people acknowledge the goodness in their lives. Researchers have established an overwhelming connection between gratitude and good health in the past few decades. Keeping a gratitude journal causes less stress, improves sleep quality, and builds emotional awareness (Seligman, Steen, Park, & Peterson, 2005).

Some research is related to gratitude. In one study, they asked all participants to write a few sentences each week, focusing on particular topics.

One group wrote about things they were grateful for that had occurred during the week. A second group wrote about daily irritations or things that had displeased them, and the third wrote about events that had affected them (with no emphasis on them being positive or negative). After 10 weeks, those who wrote about gratitude were more optimistic and felt better about their lives. Surprisingly, they also exercised more and had fewer visits to physicians than those who focused on sources of aggravation.

Most studies on this topic support an association between gratitude and an individual’s well-being. Interesting right?

What does the Bible say about gratitude?

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18; Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus

Scriptures have reminded us to always give thanks in all circumstances. I remember reading this verse growing up, and I used to wonder. How do we give thanks in all circumstances? How should I react when things don’t go according to my plan? The Holy Spirit reminded me today to have this heart of gratitude.

Researchers are trying to find the association between gratitude and personal well-being, but scriptures have been written centuries ago to always have the heart of gratitude. The answer was always in the Bible.

When we look at the parables of 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes, Jesus gave thanks, and it multiplied. Instead of grumbling, he didn’t have, and he gave thanks.

Matthew 14:17-19; “We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered.“Bring them here to me,” he said. And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.

There should be a reason why Jesus gave thanks first. This passage of the Scripture reminds us of the power of giving thanks. Jesus was reminding us to give thanks. Miracles manifest when we give thanks.

Our eyes are often blinded to see God’s goodness in our lives. Do you know why? We are so focused on what we don’t have. The devil doesn’t want us to have a heart of gratitude. As a result, we are unhappy and frustrated in life. This is not God’s original plan for you and me.

If you are someone here struggling to provide for your family, instead of being frustrated with what you don’t have, maybe be grateful for the little you have.

If you are someone here who is struggling with relationship issues, instead of grumbling, take a step aside and thank God for the relationship. Start looking at your partner as how God sees him or her.

If you are having a health challenge, do not fret. Thank God for the gift called life. You may have a health challenge that has limited your walking ability. Do not fret. Give thanks. Give thanks for your health. Do not see incomplete healing. The devil always wants us to see what we don’t have. Remember, Healing comes from the Lord. It is a gift. It is not treated. It is healed. Doctors treat. Jesus heals. That is the difference. It is a gift.

No matter what your challenges are, take time to give thanks daily. Thank God for the gift of life.Thank God for family.Thank God for the right church.Thank God for health. Have this heart of thanking God. Ask the Lord to open our eyes to see the goodness of God.

As I was writing this note, my colleague sent me this image from an author named Craig Dorfman. It is a classic that has been written since 1930s.

You may be someone in a dark tunnel today. Today, I want to encourage my readers that your track must also go out. Just keep going. Give thanks for the track. Before you know it, some light will be showing.

Say this today: ”I thank you, Lord, for this gift called Life.”-R.J.JOHN.

Prayer for today: ”Abba Father, I thank you, Lord, you are the Lord of my readers and myself. Thank you, Lord, for reminding us of the power of gratitude. Help us to have a heart of gratitude. I pray, Lord, we remove murmuring from our lives as it is toxins in our lives. Enough is enough! I pray we learn to give thanks in all circumstances in our life.”Amen.

Application: Have a gratitude journal. Learn to give thanks. At least 5 things to thank God daily.

Salvation Prayer: If you want to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, please do repeat after me.

TO ACCEPT JESUS, PRAY THIS PRAYER

Dear Jesus,

I acknowledge that I have made mistakes and made choices that have fallen short of Your best for my life. I have sinned, and I need a Saviour. Jesus, I believe You are God’s own Son, and You died to pay the price for my sin and gave me eternal life. I believe You rose to life again three days later to give me victory. I receive Your forgiveness for my sin and ask You to come into my heart. Wash me clean of all I have done wrong, and help me, Lord, to begin to live for You. Holy Spirit, come into my life and help me to get to know You as my Lord and Saviour.

Thank you, Jesus. Amen

If you have confessed and repeated this prayer of Salvation, welcome to the family.

Romans chap 10:9 -10 ( Good News); That if you confess with your mouth,” Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

Glory Of God

Ephesians chap 3: 20-21 ( GW); Glory belongs to God, whose power is at work in us. By this power, he can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine. Glory belongs to God in the church and in Christ Jesus for all time and eternity! Amen.

I was just moved by the Holy Spirit to write on the Glory of God today. When I was meditating upon the scripture above, the Holy Spirit convinced me, that the Glory belongs to God. By the power at work in us, The Lord can do infinitely more than we can ask for.

When we talk about the glory of God, we expect some supernatural manifestations. Don’t you? I do. Something like clouds moving. Or something white moving, or we just want to see the glory of God manifested in different ways. We may want to experience the weight or warmth feeling upon us. Well, I do not deny all these are manifestations of the Glory of God. But the Holy Spirit reminded me today that there is more to it.

Let me take you back to encounters of the Glory of God in the Bible.

Luke chap 1: 9-10 ( NIV); An angel from the Lord suddenly appeared to them. The glory of the Lord filled the area with light, and they were terrified. 10 The angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid! I have good news for you, a message that will fill everyone with joy.

This scripture passage clearly shows that the word Glory filled the area with light when the angel of the Lord appeared. This was definitely supernatural. The assigned angel brought together the Glory of God with them. The shepherds there saw light and perceived it as the Glory of God. It was something visible. Did the Glory stop there? It didn’t.

It didn’t just stop at a one-night encounter. It followed through. If you read the scripture passage, this is the passage that shows the Lord’s angels appearing to the group of shepherds, promising them good news. What is the Good news? The Good News is the Annunciation of the Birth of Jesus Christ.

Did this Glory stop there? No, it didn’t. This Glory of God followed through Jesus Christ since he was born on earth, grew up, and started his ministry. The Bible records he was working as a carpenter. At the age of 30, He began his ministry. He started performing miracles, signs, and wonders. The biggest miracle is He defeated death, came back resurrected, and is seated at the Right Hand of the Father. Did the Glory stop there?

No, it didn’t. He sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in us. I believe in this generation that we are living in right now, the key to moving to the next level of faith is recognising this power of the Holy Spirit in us. The Glory will continue, and we are the proof of the manifestations of the Glory.

Let us look back to our opening Scripture again. Let us reread it with a deeper understanding of the power in us, the Holy Spirit. And the best gift is -the Glory of God continues.

Ephesians chap 3: 20-21 ( GW); Glory belongs to God, whose power is at work in us. By this power, he can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine. Glory belongs to God in the church and in Christ Jesus for all time and eternity! Amen.

Who does the power refer to? Is it our own strength? Wisdom and capabilities?

The Bible clearly records the location of the power. The location of  the power is in us. When we acknowledge this power, we do things more than we can ask or imagine. How glorious is this?

Dear readers, you may be in a situation where you don’t see the glory. This means you may be in a situation of depression, financial burden, health challenges, or some health issue that has limited your daily activity. You may also be in a situation where you are under pressure. You may have commitments of work that are beyond your physical capability. You may have payments that are due. You have no clue how to solve the payments. You are just not at peace. You are searching for the glory of God. You want a solution. If you are having financial insecurity, you are searching for money. If you have a health issue, you are searching for the best team of doctors or  spiritual leaders who can pray and perform miracles for you. If you are having relationship issues, you search for counselors. But you realise there is no solution. The solution that has come is temporary. What went wrong in this process? You may even ask God, is this the life of a Christian? You are searching for the Glory of God. You may be searching for one year, two years, or more than a decade already.

If you have been doing this, stop searching outside you. If you have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your Personal Saviour, this Glory is in you. The Holy Spirit is in you. Acknowledge the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life. Do not push him away based on circumstances in life. He wants to talk to you. He wants to have a fellowship with you. The devil doesn’t want you to recognise the power of the Holy Spirit. He plants all kinds of lies and religious beliefs in you, and without you realising, you may be attending church, doing all kinds of prayer sessions, or even serving religiously as a Christian behavior. Still, you have missed the most crucial key. You are searching for the Glory of God outside you!

NO! It is in You.

The Key is recognising the power that is at work in us. The more we acknowledge and recognise the Holy Spirit, we can’t help it, but there will be an acceleration in our life. The Glory of God follows through. You can’t stop it. The Glory follows. When we come above the Lord this time, acknowledge the Holy Spirit. When you go for prayers or even serve in Church, remember you are conscious of the power in you. When you do this constantly, your perception of life will be different. You would no longer have a mindset of trying to reach God. You are not trying to get God! You are not trying ways to make him answer your prayers. No, it doesn’t work that way! Then why did God send Jesus down to earth? The only religion that preaches God has come down to humankind is Christianity. He sent Jesus Christ to earth.

Yesterday was my birthday. I give God all glory and praise for His faithfulness in my life. I realise I have always been searching for the Glory of God outside me. I made up my mind during this birthday; I am no longer doing the search. I am acknowledging the Glory of God in me.

”Abba, I just want to thank you, Lord, for all the years of Your love and faithfulness in my life. I celebrate my birthday today. Thank you, Lord, for this gift called life. I thank you, Lord, I carry the Glory of God in me. And this Glory overflows to anyone I come in contact with. I dedicated this note to you, Lord. I thank you, Lord, for the Glory that is upon me,Amen ”-R.J.JOHN

This verse came to me when I made a short prayer above.

Isaiah chap 60: 2 (NIV); “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.

My prayer partner prayed for my birthday, and she told me ”I see the color blue for you, R.J”-My close prayer partner.

I was moved to study the color. What does Scripture speak on Blue?

The English word “blue” appears 51 times in 50 King James translation verses. It is written the most in the book of Exodus (34 times), followed by Numbers (6), and then a three-way tie with 2 Chronicles, Esther and Ezekiel (three each). The Hebrew word usually translated as this color is tekeleth , a reference to the animal from which the dye is obtained.

God commanded Moses to tell the Isrealites that when they journed through the wildnerness the Ark is to be covered with a blue cloth and carried by sons of Aaron. When they came to the border of Jordan River, the waters parted before the Ark of the Covenant.Anyone watching would have seen the ark blue. This is one of the mysterious ways of the Ark of the Covenant
Ark of the Covenant -The revelation of Gods plan of redemption through Jesus

This color can represent God or something dedicated to a holy purpose. It can also symbolize royalty or riches.

Numbers chap 4: 5-6 (KJV); And when the camp setteth forward, Aaron shall come, and his sons, and they shall take down the covering vail, and cover the ark of testimony (ark of the covenant) with it: And shall put thereon the covering of badgers’ skins, and shall spread over it a cloth wholly of blue, and shall put in the staves there of (see also Exodus 24:10, 25:3, 38:18, 2Chronicles 2:7 and Ezekiel 1:26).

I was blessed with this revelation, and I thank God for it. I dedicated my whole life once again unto the Lord.

”Abba, I pray the decades of my life will be for your Glory alone. Let your will be done. I submit unto you, O Lord.Amen ”-R.J.JOHN.

I want to encourage my readers today not to be disheartened if you don’t see immediate changes in your lives. Trust me, this Glory follows through every season of your life. You will see visible changes in your life this season. Trust me in this.

Say this today: ”I am no more searching outside me.”-R.J.JOHN

Prayer for today: ”Abba Father, I thank you, Lord, you are the Lord of my readers and myself. I thank you, Lord. At this moment, I surrender my readers unto your hands. If there is anyone who has not known you, Jesus Christ, as the Personal Savior, to know you as their Personal Saviour of their life. I thank you, Lord, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ; there will be a move of encounters in my reader’s life today. I thank you, Lord, for angels that have been sent forth to help in any task they are involved in. I thank you, Lord. They are no longer searching outside them. I thank you, Lord. The Glory of God follows in them.

Application: Study the Holy Spirit. Find scriptures related to Holy Spirit from the Bible.

Showers of Blessing

Ezekiel‬ ‭34:26‬ ‭NKJV‬ ; I will make them and the places all around My hill a blessing; and I will cause showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing.

The Holy Spirit has reminded me,” R.J., this is your season of showers of blessing.”

I believe everyone wants to be blessed. This is the Birthright of a Child of God. Blessing is from God. Are you a child of God today? Are you believing that you are a child of God?

It may be years you have been trapped in bondage. Bondage of slavery, suffering, and, you just know, it is a stronghold that has shaped your thought process all the years of growing up. But I believe we are in a season where God wants to redeem us and give us the birthright as a child of God.

To know our birthright, we must first understand who our Father in Heaven is. We must acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus Christ in our lives. We don’t live a beggarly life anymore. We don’t live a life from a victim mindset, but a victor mindset. This can only take place when we know we belong to whom.

Imagine a princess. The princess knows she has a King who can care for everything she needs. She has a palace, and the King takes care of everything she needs. She doesn’t need to worry. This is the classic fairytale princess story that most of us know. The princess doesn’t need to worry, as she knows the birthright goes back to her King.

This is a classic illustration that I want to encourage my readers to know who the king of our life is. Are we tracing our birthright to our earthly generations or the Lord God himself? If we trace our birthright to our earthly generations, there will be struggles and challenges. Adam and Eve toil through life to make a living. Sin came in then, and humankind has been struggling to live life. Everyone wants to reach God to solve their issues in life, but in Christianity, God sent Jesus down to earth to save humankind. This is the most significant gift to humanity.

If you are someone here who has been struggling to know your inheritance, be sure your inheritance is from the Lord. If you have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as the Lord of your life, your birthright is from the Father in Heaven itself. The DNA you are carrying is the Lord Jesus Christ in you. In this life in God, bondage and strongholds from the past are automatically canceled.

Let 2024 be a year where we know who we belong to.

Let 2024 be a year where we turn our eyes unto the Father Himself.

When we truly know our inheritance is from the Lord, there will be a season of acceleration. We can’t stop the acceleration because alignment has taken place.

Galatians chap 3: 26-29 (NIV); So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith,  for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.  There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise.

Say this today: ” I thank you, Lord, this is my season of showers of blessing”-R.J.JOHN

Prayer for today: ”Abba Father, I thank you, Lord, you are the Lord of my readers and myself. I thank you, Lord. We are in a season of knowing you as our inheritance comes from the Lord. Forgive us, Lord, for all the wrong thought systems that we had. We want to know you, Lord. I thank you, Lord, for this gift of inheritance by grace.”Amen

Application: Be expectant for a massive shift in your lives today. Open your hearts to receive. Acceleration in the Lord will take place.
