The Women at the Well

I was meditating upon the Word today early in the morning, and the Lord told me to write a note explicitly dedicated to women today.

When we turn the pages of the Bible, from the beginning, we learn when God created Adam, God knew Adam could not be alone, and hence, he made a helper for man. He formed a woman from the ribs of Man. This is the early evidence of the importance of women in our daily lives.

Let us look at the scripture for meditation today

John chap 4: 27-30

Just then, his disciples returned and were surprised to find him talking with a woman. But no one asked, “What do you want?” or “Why are you talking with her?” Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?” They came out of the town and made their way toward him.

This is a very famous scripture passage in the Bible where we all know the story of the Samaritan Women at the well. We grew up knowing this story. But I believe the Lord wants to bring us to another level of understanding.

As I was meditating upon this verse today, I believe the Lord Jesus Christ was revealing himself to the Samaritan women. The good news was that she was receptive to hearing the Word.

The women didn’t walk away. The woman was there for a specific job, trying to draw water from the well. This shows that she was doing her chores. But when she heard that Jesus was the Messiah, she listened, and then she didn’t stop there; she went back to the town to share with Him.

As I was meditating upon this passage, there was something important: the Lord spoke to the Samaritan women.

John chap 4: 23-24

‘ Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and truth.”

God can only relate to us by communing with us in Spirit. God wants us to speak to Him. As ladies, we often have plenty of chores to do in a day. The responsibilities of a daughter, mother, grandmother, and working professional are not easy. But the Lord is reminding us that He wants to use us to be his vessel.

Setting aside time to worship God in Spirit is essential. That is the only time we draw strength in the Lord. It is risky to do our daily chores without faithfully setting aside time with the Lord. We must remember this is the time we are drawing from Him.

Matthew 4:4 NIV

Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

Our human body can sustain itself with daily bread. With our daily diet. But our human Spirit can only be sustained by the Word of God.

If you are a woman struggling in an area of your life today, I would like to pray for you. Always remember, you are cherished by God. Spending time with The Word of God is the only way out.

Do not read the bible for the sake of religiously doing it, but look forward to the specific time with the Lord expecting to have an encounter with the Lord.

The Lord is faithful. He would not let you go.

Say this today : ”I will have an encounter with the Lord.”

Prayer for today: ”Abba Father,I thank you, Lord for grace. The Grace of God upon every women who is reading this note today. I pray Lord as you speak to them, they will have an encounter with you, Lord.I pray, Lord for their hearts and minds are open to hear from you.”Amen.

Application

  1. Set aside time to seek God. Have an expectation to receive from the Lord during the quiet time.A minimum of 15 minutes daily.

Twinkle of an eye

A few days ago, someone close to me prayed for me, praying that things would change in my life in a twinkle of an eye. I paused. Thought to myself. How can things change in a twinkle of an eye? But I kept quiet, received the prayer, and went back home.

But the phrase twinkle of an eye was spoken close to my heart. It keeps repeating in my mind. I ask the Lord, can ”Change happen in a twinkle of an eye?”

This time there was no response.

I ask the Lord again. Can ”Change happen in a twinkle of an eye?”

The answer was ”You will see.”

I left the matter and just returned to my daily chores in life. I just knew I was well taken care of. God knows me better.

I was looking through the bible and tried searching for verses related to the twinkle of an eye, and this verse came close to my heart.

1st Corinthians chap 15: 51-52 “Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”

Have you prayed for change in someone’s life before? Or have you personally prayed for yourself for a change in your life? It could be a bondage, carrier, ministry, or you just want something new in your life. Have you?

The verse above refers to in a moment, we shall be changed in the twinkling of an eye. Someone has said that the average person blinks 10,000 to 20,000 times daily. In one twinkle, change can happen.

I believe this change can be anything related to our lives. How can change happen?

I believe the Lord God is merciful to those who want a change in their lives. It could be any related matter, but the Lord God graciously grants it.

Lately, I have been praying unto the Lord,” Abba, I just want something new to take place in me and my family.”But I did not realize it could happen in a twinkle of an eye until my close person prayed for me.

I realize it comes back to me whether I am ready to accept the change that is going to take place. We often pray and ask God for change, but are we ready?

How can we be ready to receive the change that we need?

The first and foremost way is to remove negative thoughts from our minds. Thoughts that have brought us into a cacoon of our own. We have created the cacoon in our lives. Our biggest fear is the cacoon. To overcome it, it takes courage. We are afraid to make the first step out. We are comfortable in the cacoon. We are worried about taking the first step out of the cacoon.

Today the Lord reminds us to take one step out of the cacooon.

How do we do it?

It takes courage.

Courage to go forward.

In a twinkle of an eye, God will change things. Things might go faster than we expect. Trust God.

Joshua 1:9 ”Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Say this today : ”I am ready for change.”-R.J.JOHN

Prayer for today: ” Abba Father, I thank you, Lord, that positive change only comes from your Lord. As your Word says, the perfect gift comes from heaven. I thank you, Lord. You are the Lord who grants change in our lives. Thank you, Lord, for a new season for my readers and me. Amen”

Application

  1. Be expectant in faith for a new season in your life.

Butterfly It Is

I was whispering a silent prayer unto the Lord today. ”Abba, please help me through this situation. I need you like never before. I really feel it is tuff.”

Have you all experience times like this?

The Lord reminded me of how beautiful nature is. Caterpillars into butterflies.

The story usually begins with a very hungry caterpillar hatching from an egg. The caterpillar, more scientifically termed a larva, stuffs itself with leaves, growing plumper and longer through a series of molts in which it sheds its skin. One day, the caterpillar stops eating, hangs upside down from a twig or leaf, and spins itself into a silky cocoon or molts into a shiny chrysalis. The caterpillar radically transforms its body within its protective casing, eventually emerging as a butterfly or moth.

I felt the task given to me was a heavy task. I find it so difficult. But as I cried out unto the Lord, the Lord reminded me it was time for the caterpillar to radically transform.

Have you been in a season where you feel stagnation in your life? There is no progress. Of course, the Lord has been faithful, no doubt about that, but you feel empty inside. You wanted to achieve certain things in life, but you didn’t. You get disheartened. Discouraged. As I was crying out unto the Lord today, I sincerely felt I was in a season where Im pushing out like the pupa.

But the Lord reminded me that the pupa didn’t struggle to push out. It was simply how nature was created to give God all glory. Likewise, the Lord reminded me this battle is not mine. When I try so hard to struggle to fight it within me, I realize it is of no point. His grace is made perfect in my weakness. I pray, Lord, His grace is sufficient in my life.

” Abba, I write unto you, Lord. At this moment, I just wanna surrender all my insecurities and my sadness in life to the Lord. I want to rejoice in you, Lord. I pray for grace. I pray for mercy. I surrender my whole life unto you, Lord. I just pray for a new season. I am tired of this season. Sincerely tired of this season. Lead me through, Lord. Lead me and guide me, O God.” R.J

When I thought I was in a season of larva turning into pupa. The Lord reminded me. No, you are in a phase of turning into a butterfly.

What does the bible say about Butterflies?

Butterflies are creatures of transformation, changing from a crawling caterpillar stuck on a tree to the freedom of a gorgeous butterfly. The truth is that the Bible doesn’t reference or mention actual butterflies. But the Bible is full of scripture about what butterflies symbolize. In the Bible, butterflies symbolize new beginnings, transformation, and change.

Just as the caterpillar thinks its life is over, it emerges more beautiful and with a new life. Jacob, who went from a liar to the father of Israel, is one Biblical figure who best represents what butterflies symbolize in the Bible. Isaiah even refers to Jacob’s previous existence as a lowly insect.

Abram to Abraham, Sara to Sarah, Simon to Peter, and Saul to Paul are examples of Biblical figures who experienced tremendous butterfly transformations where God/Jesus gave them new names to reflect their inward changes.

2 Corinthians 5: 17 ” We are called to leave our old lives behind. As the butterfly leaves its broken cocoon behind, we are called to focus on our new life in Christ.”

The butterfly must feel total freedom breaking out from the cocoon. Once I became a Christian, I had to learn how to operate in my new life, leaving some bad habits behind since I wanted to lead a life pleasing to God.

Ephesians 4: 22-24 ( NIV) You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

And the good news is God helps us every step of the way to become who He created us to be.

Say this today: ”I am ready to become a butterfly. By grace.” -R.J.JOHN

Prayer for today: Abba, at this moment, I want to commit everyone who is going through a season in their life that you would be faithful in their life.I pray that the transformation process isn’t tough but will be easy by God’s grace. Thank you, Lord; you are faithful, and this season will bring testimonies. I submit my dreams and desires unto your hands, O Lord.I pray for my readers that they will experience a radical transformation by the grace of God. Let this journey glorify you, my Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Application

  1. Be faithful to the little that is given. It can be a job or any task that is provided to you.
  2. Trust God in the process of transformation.

”I am your Adonai”

Audio Note

I heard this silent whisper within my spirit these last few days.

”I am your Adonai R.J.”

I wanted to understand the meaning of Adonai, and hence I did a few studies on trying to understand the Word Adonai. Adonai is one of the prominent names of God used in the Old Testament. Adonai is a Hebrew word translated as ”Lord, Lord, or Master.”

Psalm 8: 1 Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens.

Isaiah 6: 1 I saw the LORD, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple.

Psalm 136 : 3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords: His love endures forever.

The name Adonai, and its variations, are found in more than 400 verses throughout God’s Word.

When we talk about Adonai, I believe the Lord is reminding us that He is the master of every single detail in our life. When we acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus Christ over our lives, He is our Adonai. He is our master.

Psalm 2: 7-8; He said to me, ‘You are my Son; today I have become your father. Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the Earth your possession.”

Isn’t this powerful? The word Adonai reminded me that He is the master. The owner. The Lord of our lives.

Sadly, in reality, we do not respond to such.

Circumstances in life may push us to become bitter, sorrowful, and disappointed. We may not see logical solutions to specific situations in life, and hence we become worried, disturbed, and discouraged. In these moments of discouragement, we tend to forget that the Lord is the master of our life.

A close person to me was recently diagnosed with a growing tumor within her body. The tumor is growing in her oral cavity, affecting her breathing system. She is already exhibiting breathing difficulties; if we leave it, the tumor will affect her breathing. But if she goes for surgery, the surgery is high-risk as the tumor is near her breathing tract. The doctors advised her to go for surgery as leaving the tumor is allowing the tumor to grow and will slowly block her breathing system. The doctors also expressed that this is a very specialized surgery, and the tumor is growing in a rare location. The doctors were indecisive, and they needed to consult a few specialists. After months of delaying decisions, the family decided to go for surgery.

Deep down in my heart, as a medical practitioner, I know the surgery is high-risk. I ask the Lord, what should this particular auntie do. The Word Adonai came close to my heart. The Lord Jesus Christ is the Lord of her life. Certain situations in life. Only God can change the story.

Today’s note is dedicated to this young girl battling with her mother to battle this tumor and everyone out there who is struggling with a challenge. I want to tell you, ”The Lord is your Adonai.”

The word Adonai reminded me how majestic and glorious our Father is. We know we wouldn’t need to walk this journey alone. We have our Master that is in control of every single detail of our life.

Allow the Lord Jesus Christ to be the Master of your life. Alllow Him to be your Adonai. When we try to solve situations on our own, situations may not solve the way we want them to be; instead of asking why and how, Lord, the process takes very long.

How do we allow the Lord to be the Master of our life?

John chap 1: 1 ”In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word is God.”

Just soak ourselves by just reading the Scriptures. The verse above clearly states the Word is God. We don’t read the Bible for the sake of reading them. We must understand each verse are the breath of God. The Word is so powerful. Instead of focusing on the trouble, shift our focus to the Word. Pick a book from the Bible and just read them. You can start with the Book of John. The Lord is trying to speak to us whenever we read the Bible. He is telling us what to do. If you don’t read, you can hear the Word of God. Hear the scriptures. Hear the Bible alone. Don’t live life solo. He is our Adonai.

The name Adonai is genuinely a gift from God to us, His people. It is a reassuring reminder that God is in control. The more we acknowledge Him as Adonai, the more we see His goodness.

In August, let us shift our focus to the Lord. Acknowledging the Lordship of Jesus Christ in our lives. He is in control. As we look unto the Lord, we know deep in our Spirit, He is our Adonai.

Whatever the situation is, He will walk us through it. He will provide all our necessities. He will journey with us.

To the young girl battling with her mum in this journey, I want to remind you that the Lord is your Adonai. The tumor is removed. This journey will give God the glory. Just acknowledge the Lord as your Adonai. He is in control. He has done miracles. He will do it again. We let go and let God.

I invite all my readers today to pray for this auntie. There is power in the prayer of agreement.

Matthew chap 18: 19 “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.

”Abba Father, I thank you, Lord, for divine healing upon this Auntie. I thank you, Lord, you are her Adonai. I thank you, Lord, for healing her entirely in the Mighty name of Jesus Christ. The tumor must leave in the name of Jesus. You are the Lord who healeth her. I thank you, Lord, for this gift of healing. ”Amen

The Power of Thanksgiving

Audio Note

The Holy Spirit nudged me today.”R.J. learn to give thanks in all situations.”

The nudge was real, and I knew I needed to write this note for my readers today. Why do we give thanks?

From a young age, I have always been taught to learn to give thanks in all situations. But sadly, instead of giving thanks, realities in life have pushed me real hard that my heart became sour. Without realizing it, instead of thanksgiving, my heart was filled with murmur and complaints. Have you all experienced it like me?

I believe each of us we have our own story to tell. It is easy to tell GOD.”God, this is not my plan. Why am I going through this? Why did this happen? How am I going to solve this situation?”The why and how can continue, and when we look back, nothing has changed. Situations may worsen. Without realizing we develop a character that murmurs and comments on every situation in life. This is not God’s will for us.

I believe God is bringing me into a season of learning to give thanks. I would also like to encourage my readers to continue to give thanks in all situations. There might be a huge mess you are in right now, do not fret; just give thanks. Give thanks that God has gone before you to turn the mess into a message.

Do you know what is the trick of the devil? He wants us to lose hope in the Lord Jesus Christ. He whispers that God isn’t good. The devil is the biggest deceiver. He loves manipulating us by telling us Jesus doesn’t have the solution. We have to work the human way to get things done.

Remember the story of Adam and Eve? He questioned Eve.”Did God really say,’ You must not eat from any tree in the garden?”

This question triggered Eve, suggesting that God was keeping good from them.”You will not certainly die…For God knows that when you eat form it,your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God,knowing good and evil.”

The whole garden was so perfect, but Satan manipulated the entire scenario by focusing on the lack. There was a temptation offered to Eve. Therefore, dear readers, it is so important to recognize the devil’s schemes. Do not fret about any situation. Instead, just trust the Lord. He will bring you to pass.

Every challenge that occurs in our life, we must remember these are opportunities to give God back the glory. Have this mindset in you. These are opportunities where God would turn the situation around. Do not live life solo.

Include Jesus in your plan.

Include Jesus in your family.

Include Jesus in your marriage.

Include Jesus in your finances.

Include Jesus in your carrier.

Include Jesus in your studies.

Stop focussing on the lack. Stop focussing on the challenge. Turn our eyes to Jesus and trust the Lord in the process. Learn to give thanks.

Psalm 138:1; I will give you thanks with all my heart.”

Say this today: ”I thank you, Lord Jesus, that you are the Lord of my life.”-R.J.JOHN

Prayer for today: ”Abba Father, I thank you, Lord, you have gone before me in every season of my life. You have never left me nor forsaken me. I can continue trusting in you, O Lord. I also submit my readers, Lord, they continue giving thanks in all situations.” Amen

Application:

Practise giving thanks every day when you wake up and go to bed. Practice a minimum of 10 things daily to give thanks. Watch and see the transformation take place in your life.

Hands of God

Audio Note : Hands of God

”For every time I pray, I move the hands of God.” This was my favorite phrase for the week. Yes, my dear readers, when we pray, we move the hands of God. As you read today’s note, I would like to encourage my readers to listen to the lyrics of this song below.

Doesn’t it sound so miraculous? I encourage everyone here today to never give up on praying.

Today I joined one of the training courses organized by ICMDA ( International Christian Medical and Dental Association training course). The name of the course is Confident Christianity. This organization has many modules, webinars, and training courses that we can follow through, and it would help believers from different regions. I was personally blessed. It helps us be Christian witnesses through doctors and dentists in every community and nation.

Today we spoke on the power of resurrection and miracles. It reminded me on a personal level when I first came to know Jesus Christ as a teenager. It was something supernatural. Something miraculous. It was something from within. I was convicted from within. The biggest miracle in the bible is the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The resurrection of Jesus Christ reminds us there is a supernatural power beyond the natural realm of the seen world.

Friends, Jesus is not a myth. A legend or history. He is not another religious preacher. He is the one true living God.No one comes to the Father except through me, Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ came to the world to save each and every one of us. That is how much he loved us. The world was sinning badly, and blood was needed to shed to end the curse upon the world. Hence Jesus came down to Earth to take away all these sins. Jesus died for you and me.

Many people are still trying to reach God today. Many try many natural ways to reach GOD. Burnt offerings.Sacrifices and many other human ways. But in reality. We don’t have to continue reaching God. God has reached us. His hands are stretched forth for all of us. We don’t hold God. God holds us.

That is why Jesus Christ came down to earth. To save us.To have fellowship with us. He wants to talk to us. He wants to use each of us to do big and miraculous things in our lives.

Friends, do not give up praying if something is troubling you today. It can be the healing you need. It can be a gift of salvation for your loved ones. It can be an emotional struggle. It can be a bondage. It can be a form of struggle. Struggling to survive daily. I would like to encourage my readers to look beyond the circumstances. Humans focus on Jesus’ death. But believers in Christ, we focus on the resurrection. This is where miracles happen. No matter the challenge, let us all turn upon the Lord and believe He is the Lord of our lives.

When we pray, we are not reaching God but having this supernatural communion and fellowship with the Lord. Imagine not talking to your son for a week? There would definitely be a communication breakdown, rite? It is the same with our Lord. We have to learn to set apart time to just talk to God. Not making him do 101 things for us. But turning our focus unto the Lord.

Tell God our troubles.

Tell God our desires and wants.

Communicate with our Father in the name of Jesus Christ.

There is power in the name of Christ. Miracles in Bibles are not just children’s stories. These miracles have happened over the years and are still happening. Never give up believing. The devil would always try to steal the seed of faith planted in our hearts.

A week ago, I was at a Christian conference. The pastor reminded me to have faith in God. ”Do not doubt God, RJ.”

I recall being doubtful many times in my life. Then I realized it was the devil’s scheme to steal that seed of faith planted in my life many years ago. I would say I have my own insecurities in life. Then I realize the devil has been trying to steal the seed of faith all along. I believe each believer also have their own journey of faith.

I encourage everyone to never allow the devil to steal that seed of faith. God is faithful. Always remind ourselves of the power of the resurrection and why Jesus came for us. It is time to take charge of our stolen years. It is time to rise up like never before.

No humans can solve our problem. But our God can. So why spend time with humans rather than God.?Many of us are hopping churches nowadays. Everyone is running to some pastor or ministry trying to solve their problems. Why spend time on humans rather than God himself?

John chap 1: 1, In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Social media and the internet have made the Gospel easily and readily available. Everyone preaches nowadays. It is so important to have a discerning spirit. I don’t deny the importance of hearing the Word from the ministers of the Gospel, but it is also vital to stop hopping too many churches and ministries online. Follow our hearts. God has created us for different seasons in life. It is essential to spend time with the Lord.No point hopping everywhere when we can’t even spend at least one hour with the Lord daily.

Sometimes the process might be long, lengthy, and tiring. But never give up praying because Jesus is Lord.

I grew up remembering this bible verse below my entire life.

John 3:16 is probably the most well-known Bible verse: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Every time I read this verse, it reminds me of God’s love for me, my family, and my whole generation. It is a conviction from within. God is in my story. Likewise, I pray for each of my readers today; God is in your story too.

Never give up praying.

Jesus is Lord.

Prayer for today: ”Abba Father, I thank you, Lord, for my readers and I to continue trusting in you. Help us to open our hearts and minds to always remember your love and the power of resurrection upon our lives. Help us be your witnesses to ourselves first, our church, our family, our neighborhood, and our nations. In Jesus Name I pray,Amen.

Confident Christianity Course by ICMDA

This note is specially dedicated to my friends of the CC course by ICMDA

The Cloud

God does amazing beautiful things in life. I was attending a church in a small town today morning. I listened quietly and was amazed by the power of the Holy Spirit upon this church. Today is Pentecost Sunday, and Christians everywhere do remember this day.

The world needs the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Pentecost Sunday reminds us of the pouring of the Holy Spirit upon his people.

Acts chap 4:31 (NIV) ; After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

Today, I experienced this reality in this church. The Pastor in this small town reminded the congregation of the power of the Holy Spirit. He reminded us that we are filled with the Holy Spirit. He was also teaching us the importance of obedience.

He heard an audible voice of God 44 years ago asking him to start a church in this small town. He obeyed the call 44 years ago. Today I was blessed to be part of this small church in this small town. It is not a mega-church in numbers, but it is a mega-church in spirit.

The people are so loving and so filled with the Holy Spirit. I recalled the love of God upon them. They might be small in numbers, but I was convicted it is a spirit-filled church.

Today the church is celebrating its 44th anniversary. This happened because one person obeyed the call, and the church has grown thus far. I never imagined a church in this small town. I believe God is doing wonders in different people’s lives through this Faith Christian Fellowship ministry.

Coming from the hustle and bustle of life, when I look at this church, I feel God wants to do something new in my life. A new season of surrendering unto the will of God. There are so many voices today. With social media today, the world has become so noisy. We do not have time for ourselves. We are always running around trying to get things done.

God sometimes isolates us from the hustle and bustle world and wants to draw close to us. This is the season when I need to go back to the basics of acknowledging the Lordship of Jesus Christ in my life.

When we look back at the old testament,

Exodus chap 19 : 9 The Lord said to Moses, ”I am going to come to you in a dense cloud,so that the people will hear me speaking with you and wil always put their trust in you.

Today when I was in this church I felt the presence of this dense cloud. I was convinced it was the Holy Spirit’s presence upon this church.I felt the cloud was so heavy and magnificent upon the members of this church. It was a different feeling. It was the glory of God upon this ministry.

God is raising people in every part of the world to become his vessel. Are we willing to be used by God. Sometimes we are so busy chasing after money, carrier, and fame that we tend to forget the basics of why we are Christians. We are to surrender our whole lives to Jesus Christ and be willing to be used by Him.

Sometimes, He moves us. He relocates us. Sometimes our own plans may be delayed. But as we look upon the Lord, He is always holding unto us. May this Pentecost Sunday be a starting point for us to rededicate our lives to the Lord.

Let Him work his miraculous ways as we kneel and surrender our whole lives unto the Lord. The key is obedience. As we obey, even when we don’t understand it, there is always a blessing that will follow through.

It was 12 years ago when God called me to write for Him.I am still yet to complete the chapter. I always felt I am not good enough to complete them.I wanted to give up many times. But I caught a revelation today. The key is obedience.

As I obey, this Cloud follows me through. This Pastor obeyed the call, the cloud followed his through his family, his ministry and his town.Deep down in my heart, I know there is much more to go. Hearing this Pastor’s testimony reminded me of the importance of obedience and willingness.

If any of you all are in Bahau town Malaysia ,this a a church you must visit. It was such a blessed experience for me.

Faith Christian Fellowship. Address : 41 & 42, TAMAN SORNAM, 72100 Bahau, Negeri Sembilan

”Abba, help me to continue being obedient to the call. Help me continue writing for you.Help me surrender unto your will.”Amen.-R.J.JOHN

Matthew chap 6: 33 (NIV) ; But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Today I was meditating upon this verse. I asked the Holy Spirit what it means to seek His Kingdom first. Whose Kingdom am I supposed to seek? Am I not doing enough already? I believe I am doing the basics of every Christian believer. I pray, fast, and spend time in fellowship. What else do I need to do to seek His Kingdom?

The Holy Spirit then reminded me to write a note today. ”Write it down what I want to tell you. This note will bless you and others reading it too.”

”The Kingdom of God refers to the Sovereignty of the Lord upon the earth. It relates to supreme power and authority. In other words, the Kingdom refers to GOD, His plans, His rules, and His majesty.

When Adam and Eve were placed in the garden of Eden centuries ago, God had a perfect plan for them. They were living in the realm of God’s Kingdom, but the moment they disobeyed, sin entered, and as a result, humans today live a life cut off from the Kingdom. There was a curse that took place at that moment. Principalities, the power of the darkness has captured the plans of humankind. Curse crawled in. It is a life cut off from God. Why did it happen? Simply because of disobedience. Therefore, humans need to sacrifice and suffer to experience this Kingdom again.

So, how can humans experience this Kingdom again? How can we experience this Kingdom of God again?

John chap 3: 16 (NIV); For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

God loved the world so much. Because He loves the world so much, He gave his son Jesus to save us. Every other religion is trying to reach God. But in Christianity, God sent Jesus down to earth. This is the most significant difference. Jesus was born through a virgin Mary, lived as a human, and performed miracles on earth before he died and was resurrected again. The moment Jesus was sent for us, God had a plan. His plan was for each of us to have eternal life. Many of us speak of eternal life, mainly after death. There is actually a bigger truth. This eternal life is a gift the Lord Jesus Christ gave to each of us today. That is why Jesus came for us. The Resurrection of Jesus is the biggest miracle on earth. Jesus has overcome the strongest curse on the earth, which is death.

The Kingdom of God refers to this gift of Eternal Life that God has given each of us today. It means each of us carries this supreme power of authority of God in us. The moment we confess the Lordship of Jesus Christ upon our lives, this gift is given freely given to us. It is a gift. We don’t struggle to make this gift work. There is no struggle needed. We don’t sacrifice for it. We just need to receive it. Eternal life cancels off generational debts. Generational curses since Adam’s time. It does not make sense to live in this curse after Jesus came and died on the cross for us, and He rose again.

Sadly, many Christians today try so hard as if we are trying to reach God. Instead of focussing on the ETERNAL GIFT OF GOD, we look back at our generational curses. We go back to looking at which generation the curse happened. I remember checking out my family tree when the Holy Spirit rebuked me. ”What am I even doing”?” The family tree doesn’t matter at all. The blood of Jesus has cleansed me.!”

This is the most significant manipulation and lies the devil has planted in many churches today. It is the biggest lie and stronghold the devil has captured humans. Let me tell you something, the curse happened a long time ago, in the time of Adam. It is high time we rise up and acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Once we realize there is divine power in this Kingdom, the curses crush automatically by grace.

The only way to cut off these generational curses is to turn our whole lives to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Why did Jesus come? To give us this Kingdom. This Kingdom goes beyond the human systems of this world. This Kingdom has its own rules overriding this world’s methods.

Even if we read a few verses before Matthew chap 6, God reminded us not to worry. The Kingdom of this world makes everyone concerned about everything. We live as if we don’t have a living God. We try to control situations. We try to ensure we have enough sufficiency on our own. We ensure we have enough bank balances. We have enough backups for every situation. We make sure we have enough of everything. Dont we? Without realizing it, we are building treasures on earth. We forget that the Lordship of our lives belongs to Jesus Christ.

Matthew chap 6: 31 (NIV)  So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

Although I can do the basics of a Christian believer, I tend to worry about many things. Especially certain situations in my life. I realize worry ness buries me at times. But as I wrote this note, I realized the Holy Spirit reminded me of the power of the Kingdom of God. There is the power of surrendering all these worries unto the Lord. I do not have to worry about everything happening in my life. Instead, I should learn to look to God. There is sincerely no point we pray, fast, and do everything we can, but the basic principle of the Kingdom, which is not to worry, has not been adhered to.

The more we look to God, the more this Kingdom of Heaven becomes real. The rule of this Kingdom will start working in our own lives. The key to experiencing His Kingdom, as we seek first His Kingdom, all other things shall be added unto our lives. These other things include divine health, wealth, blessings, protection, expansion, and his continuous blessings upon each detail of our life.

If you are someone here who is buried with tonnes of problems in life, try looking away from the issues. Don’t talk about the situation. Instead, focus on the Lord Jesus Christ. Acknowledge the gift of this eternal life. It gives power to anyone who believes in it. When there is power, there is the manifestation of it. As we approach one of the most importance weeks in the Christian Calendar, let us rededicate our lives to the Lord. Let us repent from all our worries and dedicate our lives to the Lord. Just remember this, God has a plan. Trust in His plan.

As Good Friday and Easter Sunday are approaching, let this season not be the same but let this season bring peace, love, and joy. This Kingdom of God is real and it is no joke.

Say this today : ”I shall seek His Kingdom first.”-R.J.JOHN

Prayer: ”Abba Father, thank you, Lord, for my readers and me. I thank you, Lord, for reminding us of the power of this gift of Eternal Life freely given to us. As we seek you, Lord, change our hearts and minds to take up the cross and follow you, Lord Jesus Christ.

”I surrender unto you, O Lord.”

Audio Note

I believe I am at a season of my life where I need to learn to surrender to the Lord 100%. When we talk about surrender, it doesn’t mean we give up, but it is just a way of telling God,” God, I back off. Take charge of my life.’

I am not sure about my readers out there, but I had some expectations I thought I would achieve, but I didn’t. I tried hard to change certain situations in life, but I couldn’t. I got so tired along the journey. I felt disappointed, discouraged, and frustrated.

I ask God, why did this happen. Why did certain things occur in my life where I cannot control them. Then I hear a silent whisper from the Holy Spirit,” I have been waiting for you to give in. Until and unless you choose to control your own life, I cannot come in.”

I believe the Holy Spirit was reminding me of the power of surrender. Many of us tend to try to control certain situations in our life. But when we come to the point of surrender, we give ourselves unto the Lord. When we give our whole life unto the Lord, transformation happens. Are you currently dealing with a specific situation in life? The best way to handle these challenges is to let God take them as he wants them.

Expecting to know Him personally and spending time with the Lord will change our lives.

James chap 4:8a (NIV). Come near to God, and he will come near to you…”

Are we drawing ourselves to God?

Many of us live as victims and not victors in Christ. I was also meditating on verse 1st Corinthians chap 6: 19-20; Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

As I was reflecting on the verse above, the Holy Spirit reminded me I am not my own anymore. He bought me an expensive price, the blood of His son Jesus. We are God’s masterpiece. He doesn’t want us to look down on ourselves.

Sometimes we need many reminders in our life. Our life does not belong to us. It belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ. When we live life acknowledging the Lordship of Jesus Christ, we no longer look down on ourselves anymore. No matter what the mess is; the Lord is faithful. He will lift us out of the situation.

Our confidence is not in our ability but in God’s ability which we received the moment we gave our lives to Jesus. Now, you have his ability because His power has been deposited in you.

Let God take charge of the next season in our life. Let us kneel down, humble ourselves and see God taking the lead. When we come to the point of surrender, we tell God, ”I give my Life unto you, O God. Clean my mess. Turn this mess into a message. I glorify you, O God.”

Say this today:”Abba, I surrender my whole life to you, Lord Jesus Christ.”-R.J.JOHN.

Prayer for today: ”Abba, I thank you, Lord, for using this note to bless my readers and me. Thank you, Lord, for reminding us there is power in surrender. I surrender my all into your hands, O God. I give myself to you, Lord.”Amen

Application :

  1. Stop grumbling about situations in life. Just surrender unto the Lord and expect a massive shift in your life.
  2. I was playing this song above by Kingdom City as I surrendered my whole life unto the Lord. Stop trying to fix situations in our life on our own. Let God come in. Play this song above and enjoy it.

Everything is Beautiful in His Time

Ecclesiastes 3:11a : He has made everything beautiful in its time.

Audio Note

Are you someone here who has experienced delays in life?It can be a delay in any area of your life.It can be ambitions, dreams, family, promotion, marriage or even delayed prophecies. The list can go on and on.Everyone have a story of their own.But the good news is ,regardless of each other’s stories ,everything is beautiful in God’s perfect timing.

I was reflecting on the story of creation today, how God brings life to earth. Each of us we have a purpose in this life. This life that is given to us is God’s gift to us.Sometimes we try so hard to please God,try doing everything else to get God to answer our prayers, but today I realise this is not the right way.

In my personal life journey, I have decided to step back in this new season.I am done trying to achieve my own timing. I am done trying to get God to answer my own selfish prayers.

I have decided to step back and no longer follow my timeline, ambitions, and selfish desires in life.At the end of the day,He has a perfect timing. He has made everything beautiful in His timing.I have decided to learn to turn upon the Lord.

Mark chap 4 : 26-29 He also said, ”This is what the kingdom of God is like.A man scatters seed on the ground.Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up,the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.All by itself, the soil produces grain-first the stak, then the head, then the full kernel in the head.As soon as the grain is ripe,he puts the sickle to it because the harvest has come.”

I was meditating upon this verse and realised Jesus was using this seed parable as the Kingdom of God.The Kingdom of God is likened to a seed sprouting and growing, but he does not know how.All by itself, the soil produces grain.Once grain is ripe, he puts sickle to it because the harvest has come. This whole process of seed being scattered on the ground and to grow ,it requires process. There is a process where God has established. The seed cannot produce harvest without letting the grain ripe. The harvest only comes latter.

Many of us we do not like the process. We want the harvest as soon as possible; hence, the process is not God’s.We like short cuts. But in this parable,I realise God was reminding me one factor involved in this seed growing is time and the suitable soil.

Over time, the seed produces grain.Over time,we become matured in Christ. We do not need to struggle to make the seed grow.Instead, once we are planted in the suitable soil and follow the process, the seed automatically grows. No struggle required.Only grace.By grace the seed grows.By grace we grow.

I would like to encourage my readers today, regardless of how many years Christian you are, let us do a reflection and ask God today .Are we in the right soil? Are we planted in the right soil?Where is the new season God is leading us into? Are we ready to move into the new season? Are we prepared to lay down all our belief systems and restart from scratch again.Putting away everything we have been taught before and restarting our life all over again.

Go through the process of serving, reading the bible, starting the basics all over again. Are we ready to surrender upon the Lord?

The right soil will produce a healthy seed, and with time the seed will grow and give a harvest. This right soil can refer to a church. Are we planted in the right church for this season. The right soil can also refer to our own heart. Our hearts needs to be right with the Lord.We need to open our hearts once again.Once we are planted in the right soil, with time, everything becomes beautiful. There is a process that is ordained by God.As the Lord has reminded us,everything becomes beautiful in His time.

Let us surrender our lives to the Lord Jesus Christ and allow Him to lead us in this new season.I pray this new season will transform my readers and me.

Say this today : Everything is beautiful in His time-R.J.JOHN

Prayer: ”Abba,I thank you, Lord for my readers.I thank you Lord, for preparing their hearts to be the right soil.I also pray, Lord, you lead them into the right church this season. As you lead them, they bring their generation with them.Let them not restrict their belief systems and continue trusting you, Lord.Abba,I thank you, Lord for transformation.”Amen

Application:

1.Pray and ask God to help you find the right soil.Do not be picky and judgemental. But instead open your hearts to let God lead you to the right church.

2.Trust Jesus like never before in this new season.

3.Have a notebook.Write down your delays in life in one page. After writing it down, throw the page away.Start your life fresh new again. You can be 20,30, or even 70 years old.Never too late to start with God.
