Why Me?

There was a prophecy given to me years ago that the Lord is bringing me into a place of leadership in healthcare. New position and promotion were the words released to me.

.

I remember battling many emotions within myself and asking the Lord. ”Why me, Lord. I am not capable of this. There are so many things that I do not know, and I was unsure how to be like other healthcare leaders. I battle much with fear and insecurities among top giants in my field. I actually stutter at times during my speech. I tend to forget certain details and feel less capable than the others. I gave the Lord all the reasons and excuses until the Holy Spirit had to nudge me; it is not for you. But it is for the Lord. ”

A few weeks ago, I was at a Christian conference. I remember clearly the Pastor sharing that there would always be someone in the family or generation to be the first.

First to get a degree.

First to go to school.

First to be debt-free.

First to be born again.

First to be financially free.

First, to start something.

There is special grace for the firstborn in the family. The Pastor reminded us of the importance of completing what is given unto our hands.

Yesterday was a big challenge. I learned a lesson about how to be calm to handle situations when things don’t favor you. I realize many times that we tend to make decisions based on our emotions, which may lead to wrong decisions that will affect the person, the family, and probably the organization.

The Holy Spirit reminded me His grace is sufficient. I told the Lord to use my weakness to glorify your Name. He reminded me that His presence would go before me.

I cried to the Lord, ”Do not bring me into a field if your presence doesn’t go before me, Lord.”

The Holy Spirit reminded me of this verse.

James chap 1: 5

”If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

Are you here who is probably handling some projects, and you may be in a leadership position?

You may have to deal with your team or organization, which requires leadership skills.

Jesus was the best leader example anyone can follow. The good news is that we can ask the Lord for wisdom.

Wisdom is a gift that is actually already in us. A wise man has told me before that the Spirit of Excellence is deeply rooted in your spirit because you are a Child of God. You have to just decide to walk in excellence.

Likewise, I would like to encourage all my readers today,” You are a Child of God. The spirit of excellence is deeply rooted in your spirit. Trust God and move forward.”

Say this today: ”Thank you, Lord, your grace is sufficient. I am excellent in every area of my life.R.J.JOHN

Prayer for today: ”Abba, I thank you, Lord, you are always with me. You have brought me through seasons of life. Thank you. It is a new phase in my life. As I move forward, I pray, Lord, Your presence goes before me.”Amen

Im Grateful

It just dawned on me that It has been 10 years since I first published my book, entitled ”Joy of the Lord is My Strength”. The book launch was on 21st September 2014.

Wow, it has been a decade! I wanted to just write to the Lord today telling him how grateful I am for this first book. I believe it is the seed for many more in the future.

” Abba, I dedicate this note to you. I just want to say thank you for this decade. I give you glory and praise for this gift. Thank you for everything you have done in my life since the last book launch.”

So what happened in this one decade. At first, I thought I could do better. There were voices of condemnation in my mind. Probably publish more books. Why didn’t I do better for the Lord?

But the Holy Spirit whispered this verse to me.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 New International Version (NIV)He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart, yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

When I was meditating upon the verse, the Lord reminded me that everything was beautiful in its time. I’m grateful when I look back at these 10 years’ journey as an author. I’m thankful for the opportunity.

I believe the Lord has been teaching me a lot and preparing me for the next season of my life. The right posture. I remember feeling intimidated and worried about who would read my writing. I felt timid in my spirit. The Lord has to constantly remind me it was never my writing. But it is the Lord.

The Lord has been working so much in me to build my confidence in the Lord. To raise me up to be who He wants me to become. I believe I am an introvert. I do not want to be seen in public. I do not wish to speak in public. It was an internal struggle within me. But I realize the Lord has been shaping me all these years. He has been molding me into His image over the past 10 years.

John chap 15: 1-2 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful.

In this decade, the Lord has been working on me, shaping me, and pruning me into His image. I have lost a few relationships and gained new relationships. There was unforgiveness and silent bitterness within me that I needed to lay down at the altar. There were silent tears that only the Lord knows. I believe it is all according to His mega plan.

To those who don’t know my story, The Lord called me to write for Him more than a decade ago. It was a supernatural visitation from the Lord, an iPad as a gift, and a vision that the Lord revealed to me. He clearly called me to write for Him. I was born again at the age of 21 years old. I receive the gift of tongues a few months after that. Since then, my personal relationship with the Lord has changed so much. It was no more religion. It was no longer just Sunday services. Everything that I do, I reflect back to the Lord. My spirit became alive. I realize life is beyond this mortal body. I felt the recreated human spirit, which is not explained by science. The reality of what happened that night still exists in my soul today.

The Lord is so gracious that He lifts me up in my weakness. When I look back at my first book, I’m grateful. I thank you, Lord. You chose me. I surrender my whole life into your hands. Use me for your Kingdom. Let this journey bring you back the glory. You know the silent fears and struggles that I face. I give it to you, Lord.I am ready Lord for the next season of my life.

I would like to encourage my readers today, if deep down in your heart, you know you have a gift the Lord gave you. Stop condemning yourself. Instead, give thanks for the gift. Use that gift in any capacity given to you. With time and faithfulness, the Lord magnifies them.

The Lord has to constantly remind me that He sees me through. He sees my silent desires. I am so grateful I know this person, Lord Jesus Christ, my personal Saviour.

Say this today: I am grateful .R.J.JOHN.

Prayer: Abba, I thank you for being faithful in my life. Amen

Grace

I was reflecting on the word Grace these last few days. Most oftentimes, we, as children of God overlook this gift of grace in our lives.

Grace is a free gift given by the Lord to each and every one of us. Knowing the power and revelation of grace breaks strongholds of the past.

Let us read this verse together.

2 Corinthians 9:8: “God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.

Here, the Word reminds us that God can make grace abundant for us. What does it actually mean?

To me personally, it means divine supernatural power. Each person has the grace to do something in life. This grace is a gift of God to a particular person.

Example: You may be a businessman. You may have particular challenges in life to ensure sound financial flow in your business. It may take days, months, or even years to see the profit of something you have started. Often, during this season, I believe the Lord is teaching discipline and a platform to grow and learn about financial literacy. There is always something the Lord is teaching.

The good news is you have enough grace to complete what is given to you.

I would like to encourage my readers today to always be God-conscious. It is essential to see the blessings of God in our lives that we may not see. Sadly, I have seen Christians who are more devil-conscious than God-conscious. Struggles and circumstances in life have overshadowed the blessing of God.

So, instead of seeing the blessing of God, the person can only see lack, suffering, and struggle. This particular person will definitely live a struggling life. It is always a battle to fight against some power of evil. This is definitely not God’s plan.

God never intended us humans to battle the powers of the devil. The battle was never ours. The battle belongs to the Lord.

If you are someone who you are going through specific challenges in life. You may not see any way out, but I have some good news for you. Remain bold and courageous. Acknowledge the grace of God in you. The system of the world was never for you. You have this special grace a child of God.

There is special grace upon us when we acknowledge the reality of the grace of God in our lives. The most valuable asset than money or health or anything else in the world is the measure of faith each of us has. The faith that we have can move mountains.

In my practise in medicine, I have seen patients recovering simply by the measure of faith they have. This faith is deposited deep in our spirit. We have to just pull it out.It is important to always fill our mind with the Word of God.

Oftentimes, we see what we don’t have. We may be waiting for certain miracles to take place, but we overlook the blessings that the Good Lord has already bestowed upon us.

I would like to encourage each of my readers to be grace-conscious. Once you realize that you are a child of God and every good and perfect thing comes to you, you will start realizing things will flow accordingly.

Friends, there is a huge covering of grace upon you. Do not fret, instead move forward and acknowledge this gift of grace in you. I believe once you believe in this power of Grace, you will be amazed at how far the Lord can bring you, your family and the whole generation with you.

If you are in a season of stagnation and you feel nothing is moving, I would like to give you some good news. His grace is sufficient to bring you through this season of wilderness.

Learn to look upon the Lord. Seek Him earnestly, knowing you are His child of God.

Many years ago, the Lord told me to write for him. I had big dreams and desires, but I realized it wouldn’t be my plan. I had to humble myself and turn my eyes unto Him, asking Him to lead me through. He was teaching me patience, obedience and trust.

Often, I look at myself, and I feel I have nothing much to offer to the Lord. But one thing I know is that I can offer my writings to the Lord. Today, the Holy Spirit reminded me that there is enough grace.

Enough grace to do great and mighty things.

Enough grace to get things done in God’s way.

Enough grace to do things one step at a time.

In my weakness, His grace is sufficient.

Say this today: I have enough Grace-R.J.JOHN.

Prayer: Abba, I submit these writings into your hands. Let it be for your glory.I pray my journey is a testimony for you, Lord.Amen

Trusting God

I believe when we don’t know what else to do, we do one thing we can do. To me, it was writing. When I write, I always write unto the Lord. I am grateful that I can express myself more through my writings dedicated to the Lord.

When every door looks closed, you should focus on your talent. Do the one thing the Lord has given you faithfully. To me, it was writing.

I just wanted to remind myself to continue trusting God. When there seemed to be shut doors, I decided to direct all my passion into one thing the Lord had given me: the world of writing.

I would like to encourage my readers to trust God. How do we trust God when things don’t seem to be working?

Do you all remember the story of Jonah and the big fish? I remember this story being recited to me during my growing-up days during Sunday school in church. My mum also reads this story to me using the Big Children’s Bible at home in my younger days.

Let us remember this story together.

Jonah chap 1: 1=2 (NIV)  The word of the Lord came to Jonah son of Amittai: “Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.

Although there was an instruction for Jonah, Jonah disobeyed and tried running away from his calling. He may have felt fearful, or he may have his own personal reasons for choosing to disobey the call of God in his life.

Jonah tried to run away from God in the opposite direction of Nineveh and headed by boat to Tarshish. God sent a great storm upon the ship, and the men decided Jonah was to blame, so they threw him overboard. As soon as they tossed Jonah into the water, the storm stopped.

God sent a big fish, some call it a whale, to swallow Jonah and save him from drowning. While in the belly of the big fish (whale), Jonah prayed to God for help, repented, and praised God. For three days, Jonah sat in the belly of the fish. Then, God had the big fish throw Jonah onto the shores of Nineveh.

When Jonah was in the belly of the big fish, it may look like there was no solution. But I believe Jonah directed all his passion into one thing he could do at that moment. Which is repentance and praising God.

Preserving Jonah’s life in the belly of the fish reminds us the Lord will preserve us in His way. Imagine going into a big fish belly. Who thought Jonah would survive? But he needed to repent and come back to the Lord. The Lord knew the only way was to get him locked up in the belly of the fish. He may have thought he was trapped. But it was all in the mega plan of God.

Jonah chap 2: 1-2 (NIV): From inside the fish, Jonah prayed to the Lord his God. He said: “In my distress I called to the Lord,
    and he answered me.
From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help,
and you listened to my cry.

When Jonah repented, the Lord commanded the fish to vomit Jonah unto the dry land.

If we continue reading the following chapters in Jonah, the same instruction was given to Jonah again.

Jonah chap 3: 1-3 (NIV)Then the word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time: “Go to the great city of Nineveh and proclaim to it the message I give you.”Jonah obeyed the word of the Lord and went to Nineveh.

I would like to encourage my readers today. If there is a call of God in your life, do not push it away. For Jonah, it was only three days the Lord had to make him go through the process of repentance to finally accept the call of God and obey what was given to him.

Deep down in your heart, if you know you have been called by God, but you chose to go the opposite direction, it is time to repent, surrender, and obey the call of God in your life.

The Lord is faithful. He will redeem us. He will preserve our life. I would like to encourage my readers to just submit under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

I hope you enjoyed reading Jonah’s story today. Does this story sound familiar to your life story at any season of your life? If it does, do not worry if you feel trapped. It is for the glory of God. Remember, when the time is right, the Lord will command the fish to vomit Jonah out. Likewise, every problem has an expiry date. Obedience is the key.

Try checking out this short story of Jonah in youtube. You will enjoy it.

Cheer up. The Lord is with you.R.J.JOHN

With God, nothing is impossible

I guess the Lord is taking me on a journey of learning to trust Him like never before. I was telling the Lord today,” I’ve had enough of this nonsense happening in my life. Enough is enough! I want to see the manifestation of miracles in my life.”

Suddenly, a voice in me whispered.”You are living the miracles, my dear.”

Some of us may go through certain seasons in life, and we are so overwhelmed with things around us that we want God to do something for us. We want some divine intervention. Some supernatural visitation. We want to see some open doors. But sadly, we don’t see them.

How do we respond when we don’t see the supernatural taking place? How do we respond when we don’t see what God sees.

Instead, the mess becomes messier and messier. I cried out to the Lord today and sincerely told God. ” I am backing off, Lord. You take charge of my life. You take charge of the situation I am going through. Let you reign in my life. I can’t take this battle anymore.”

”The battle was never yours, R.J.,” says the Holy Spirit.

Immediately, the Holy Spirit led me to open my Bible to this scripture below.

Luke chapter 1: 37 For with God nothing will be impossible.

I was trying to understand why God said nothing is impossible. I tried reading the verses before in the same passage in the book of Luke.

Luke chap 1: 34-36 Then Mary said to the angel,” How can this be since I do not know a man?” And the angel answered and said to her,”The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and therefore also that Holy One who is to be born will be called Son of God. Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age, and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren.

I realize this was an impossible situation. Only God can come to pass in an impossible situation. One was Mary, a virgin. She conceived by the grace of God. Second Elizabeth in her old age conceived a son. This could only be achieved by the power of the Holy Spirit. Both this women of God had divine encounter with the Holy Spirit.

Well, it is easy for anyone to just say it. With God, nothing will be impossible. But I realize through this passage there is a key behind it. It has to be the Holy Spirit giving the impossible.

Today, I surrendered my life unto the Lord Jesus Christ. The only solution is knowing this person Holy Spirit once again.

”Abba, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I thank you for the power of the Holy Spirit upon me, that I can do great and mighty things, and the glory goes back to you. Abba I surrender this writings into your hands. Use it for your glory.” Amen

If you are someone here going through a certain season in your life, be assured the Lord is with you. He will carry you through the seasons of life. When there is no solution, the solution is Jesus Christ. His word will never fail. Spend time knowing this person Holy Spirit. There is power when His presence is acknowledged.

With God,Nothing is Impossible-R.J.JOHN

He who is Faithful will do it.

When I woke up this morning, I was just moved to drive down to a beach. It was raining heavily, but I was just moved to go ahead. I took my Bible and my keys and just drove down straight.

I wanted to have this quiet moment with the Lord. In the hustle and bustle of life, I realize I have focused so much on issues that I was just longing for this quiet moment with the Holy Spirit. Thankfully, when I reached, the rain subsided.

As I meditated upon the Word of God, the Holy Spirit led me to read the Book of Romans. Reading through the Bible chapters in a quiet place was very refreshing. This verse caught my attention.

Romans chap 8: 6 (NIV)

For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

I wanted to understand this verse further, so I tried reading part of the chapter in the message translation.

Romans chap 8:5-8 (Message)

5-8 Those who think they can do it on their own end up obsessed with measuring their own moral muscle but never get around to exercising it in real life. Those who trust God’s action in them find that God’s Spirit is in them—living and breathing God! Obsession with self in these matters is a dead end; attention to God leads us out into the open, into a spacious, free life. Focusing on the self is the opposite of focusing on God. Anyone completely absorbed in self ignores God and ends up thinking more about self than God. That person ignores who God is and what he is doing. And God isn’t pleased at being ignored.

While meditating on this verse, I realized focusing on self is the opposite of focusing on God. When we are carnally minded, meaning our focus in life is just about us. Our job, achievements, family, finances, and children. We measure our success by how the world measures them. We focus on the Law and operate according to the logical senses of our human body. We try fixing things or situations. We focus so much on self, meaning we focus so much on the problems. Without realizing it, we become worn out. We become tired daily. We clock in and clock out daily. Tired within ourselves.

Our prayers have been around the same issue for months, probably years. The mess ends up getting bigger and bigger. It has become a bondage, and you may feel trapped. How do we stop this cycle?

The Holy Spirit reminded me today. The only solution is to be spiritually minded. Being spiritually minded gives us the peace and life needed. I asked the Holy Spirit, how do I do this? How do I become spiritually minded?

I had a moment this morning with the Holy Spirit and told Him there is no way I can fix this current situation except that You can do it. It was just beyond my human capabilities. I was trying to add all the maths needed, but I realized it was to no avail. I was just lifting my hands unto the Lord as a posture of surrender. This posture of surrender gave me the peace I needed, knowing every detail of my life was well taken care of.

I believe someone out there who is reading today’s note is at a crossroads in life. You may be going through a health challenge, relationship issues, or financial struggle, one way or another. I would like to encourage my readers to take a few minutes in a day to come before the Lord in a posture of surrendering unto the Lord. There is ultimate power in surrender.

Spend time in reading the Word of God. We have to prepare our hearts to know this God that we serve. The Gospel was never meant to be complicated. If you have a situation where you need God to come to pass in your life, shift your focus to God and not problem. How do we shift our focus to God? It returns to the basics, which take time to read the Bible daily. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the Gospel’s insights and mysteries of the Word of God.

John chap 1:1 ;In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God

Most of us spend so much time thinking and crying over a problem we face. It doesn’t work that way. We pray and pray over the same problem and end up becoming more worried about the situation. When we bring a situation unto the Lord, we must have faith we have totally surrendered the situation unto the Lord. There must be peace in our hearts. Spend time with the Holy Spirit. If you speak in tongues, spend time speaking in tongues. Minimum of 15-30 minutes a day.

Acts chap 2: 4; And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Have family prayers together. Families that pray together encourage each other to stay focused on the Lord. One person needs to take the lead.Don’t expect your husbands or someone else to do it. You have to take the initiative.

Attend church together. If you have been comfortable with online services, it is time to attend a local church nearby. It is necessary for your spiritual growth.

Always know our inheritance comes from the Lord. We are children of God. We can always go to Him in a posture of surrender, knowing He who is faithful will do it for us.

Matthew 19 : 26 (NIV); Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

Zechariah 4:6(NIV) ; So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.

Acts 1:8 ; (NIV) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Say this today: I thank you, Lord, you are faithful, and You will do it.-R.J.JOHN

Prayer for today: Abba Father, I thank you, Lord, for all my readers. You guide them through each situation of their lives. I pray for an encounter with the Holy Spirit as they read and meditate again upon this note today. I pray, Lord, you open their hearts to receive from you. Amen

Throw your nets on the other side!

James chap 1:5 (NIV) ”If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

I was asking the Lord what I should write today. The Lord clearly told me to write on the wisdom of God.

The word wisdom goes back to the original meaning in Greek, which means ”Sophia”.

Sophia is theoretical wisdom. Meaning insight into reality. It is a collective understanding of things.

We have seen many people with various different challenges around the world. Some may be in between jobs, facing different challenges along the way. They try to do something. But they always fall into some trouble. It may be over a decade, from one year to two years, and the same person keeps falling into trouble.

Most of the time, we believe it is a financial problem. A wrong belief system has been planted in us for years. We ask God for financial blessing. We pray and pray for a financial breakthrough. We pray and pray and sacrifice unto the Lord.

Or we may just be wrestling with the unknown spiritual world. We believe it is the work of the devil. Hence, we try fighting the devil. As a result, frustration and depression crawl in. Forgetting that the Lord has done it for us centuries ago. That is sending his only son, the Lord Jesus Christ, for us. Acknowledging the Lordship of Jesus Christ over our lives cancels off every single curse or sin from the past. Recognizing it allows us to live as victors in Christ.

But actually, most of the time, it is the wisdom of God that is needed to adhere to every situation in our life. Christians become victims of situations in life when we don’t know our identity in Christ.

In my journey of knowing the Lord, I have come to realize that insight into reality is the most significant gift God has given to each of us. Knowing the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour, we have an added advantage in our life, that is, knowing that there is a gift in us called Sophia.

I am in the midst of completing a project. Deep down inside my heart, I know it is from the Lord, but I realize I have been doing the same merry-go-round and cannot find the right solution to complete them.

Today, I decided to pen down and ask the Lord for wisdom.

”Abba, give me the wisdom needed to complete what is given to me. Help me remove all negative thoughts from my mind and help me surrender this whole project to you, Lord.Amen.”

After I penned down this prayer, the Holy Spirit nudged me ”Throw your nets on the other side, R.J.”

Let me take you to our very old Sunday school story. The story of throwing our nets to the other side. I believe Christians grew up with this Sunday School story. Let me share with you what is the insight on this story.

The fishermans and Jesus. In this story, we see the fishermen trying to catch fishes. I believe they were trained in their field of work. Their occupation was fishermen. I am sure they were trained on what time and which area to catch their fish. They have probably fished for years. It was their strategy of getting the most from that day. I believe they had their own belief system. But sadly, they didn’t catch any fish. Let us read the passage of the Bible together.

John chap 21 :3 -7( NIV)

“I’m going out to fish,” Simon Peter told them, and they said, “We’ll go with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize it was Jesus. He called out to them, “Friends, haven’t you any fish?” “No,” they answered. He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.”

When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish. Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, “It is the Lord,” he wrapped his outer garment around him (for he had taken it off) and jumped into the water.

Jesus asked them to throw the nets on the other side. Isn’t that the wisdom of God? It was a different side. The fisherman didn’t need to ride the boat to another corner of the lake; instead, in this story, he just needed to throw the net on the other side.

It was a different habit totally. The other side. It was a different way of doing things altogether.

When I was meditating on this passage, I realized that when God calls us to do something, the key is obedience; most of the time, it is near to us.

What if Peter the fisherman responded, saying,” Oh, I know that side won’t give me results?”They would have continued fishing, wasting their time and energy and not finding any fish.

Does this sound familiar to you? We assume certain things don’t work. We want it our way. Hence, it is always the same mess.

Recognizing the call of God, being obedient to the Lord, and taking practical steps in changing our habits are the key to growing in the Wisdom of God.

Habits can be a fundamental way of living our life. It can be as simple as eating habits, a healthy lifestyle, or if you have skipped church for a long time. It is time to attend church back. Remember, you cannot expect a change in your life when you keep repeating the same thing and expecting God to give you a miracle. That is total foolishness!

If you are in a situation where you want to do many great things in life. But you are so afraid of taking the first step to materialize it; this is your time to invite the Lord into whatever you do.

When we invite the Lord into the work or project we are working on, remember this, our old ways have to change. If you have not opened the project, it is time to open it. Open the story back. Trust God is in the story.

Most of the time, we think we know it all because we have been Christians for many years. But most of the time, when we ask God for wisdom, there will be new habits, new patterns, renewed ways of thinking, and new ways of doing things.

Hence, if you have been tied up with something for years and don’t see a solution, Spend time with the Lord. Open the Bible and spend time meditating on the Word of God. Refuse to believe in the lies of the devil.Enough is enough!

My mum always tells me all the answers are in the bible. I should personally spend more time meditating on the Word of God myself.

If you’re in this situation of “conceptualizing” and not “acting,” begin having daily meditation sessions on the Word. How do we meditate on the Word? Have one verse a week or a verse a day. Memorize and meditate on the verse. Pray on the verse. Take time to memorize and repeat it daily in your mind.

If you are in a circle of problems for an extended period, it is time to throw your nets on the other side. When you throw the nets on the other side, there will be new habits, new ways of doing things, new mindsets, and new opportunities await you.

I hope this note blessed you. Please help me share this note with your loved one! I believe this note will bless someone who needs to hear the only solution they need is simply throwing the net to the other side.

Journey of Grace

”Abba Father, I thank you for this journey of grace.”-R.J.JOHN

It has been nearly a decade since I knew this calling was from the Lord. I knew I had to write for the Lord. Every note that I pen down is for the Lord. Today, I wanted to share with my readers on this journey called grace.

I am a medical doctor by profession. It has always been my passion to see patients getting well. But beyond just treating the patient, I have realized that health is beyond the physical; it goes back to a person’s emotional and spiritual well-being.

The World Health Organisation defines health as a complete physical, mental, and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. So basically, being in the medical field, I have come to realize that healthcare is not just meant to treat patients but also to ensure the social well-being of a person, as this also contributes to a person’s health.

I was a medical student when God called me to write for Him. At that moment, I wondered how to become a doctor and a writer. When I look back at my journey now, God works miraculously. But deep down in my heart, I know there is more to go.

The Lord opened a door of opportunity for me to specialize in Public Health Medicine.CEA Winslow, a renowned professor who launched public health at Yale University a century ago, defines public health as “The science and art of preventing disease, prolonging life, and promoting health through organized efforts and informed choices of society, organizations, public and private communities, and individuals.”

After joining the field, I realized that public health is the way forward to ensure everyone receives the art of preventing disease. What does the Bible say about health?

The greatest blessing the Lord has given to us when we are on earth is our physical bodies. The bodies are significant; the Lord wants us to care for them.

1st Corinthians chap 16 (NIV) ” Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.”

1st Corinthians chap 10:31 (ESV) ”So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. ”

Proverbs chap 17:22 (ESV) ” A joyful heart is a good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”

Psalms 147:3 ”He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wound.

Proverbs 18:21 (NIV) ”The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

Even as I wrote this note, the Holy Spirit reminded me of God’s perfect plan in the Garden of Eve before humankind fell into sin. The Lord was satisfied with everything He created. God’s plan is for everyone to be in perfect health.

If you are struggling with a health challenge, practice blessing yourself more. Remember, you are the child of God. Do not function from a victim mindset. The devil wants us to be the victim. But the Lord reminds us we are victors in Christ. See the blessing despite the struggles that you may be facing today. The Lord is good in your life. His plan is to always give us a future and hope.

The Lord has even called me to write in the medical field. I spend hours in front of my research work, and I realize it is not for me but for the Lord. Much writing is involved in Public Health Medicine. It is challenging, but the Lord reminded me that His grace is sufficient.

I would always feel small whenever I am with the top giants in the medical field, but the Lord reminded me today that it is a journey of grace. Saying yes to the Lord requires obedience, persistence, and perseverance. I wanted to give up many times, but I must constantly remind myself this journey is for the Lord.

I am unsure if you are going through a particular phase in your life. Being obedient to your call opens doors of opportunities.

I encourage my readers to commit their work unto the Lord.

Whatever talents the Lord gives must be used back in the house of the Lord. It must be given back to the Lord. Once we have this conviction that it is for the Lord, the Lord will magnify what is given to us.

Don’t journey life alone. The Lord is with us. His grace is sufficient.

Say this today: I thank you, Lord, for this journey called grace.-R.J.JOHN

Prayer for today: I thank you, Lord, for my readers. I commit them unto you, Lord. I pray, Lord, for this journey, call grace upon each of their lives. I pray, Lord, you will never leave them nor forsake them.Abba, I submit my writings unto you, Lord. Amen.

Application

Take positive lifestyle modifications to improve your quality of Life. Bless yourself more.

Put God incharge of your Work!

Proverbs chap 16:3 (KJV) ”Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.”

The Lord reminded me this morning to commit my work unto the Lord. I read the same verse in the message translation.

Proverbs chap 16:3 (MSG) Put God in charge of your work, then what you’ve planned will take place.

I realize this work here can be anything important to us. Whichever place the Lord has placed you, there is a work that needs to be carried out.

It can be a business of your own. You are trying to make ends meet, and you might face challenges in one way or another.

You may be an employee today and be facing a challenge to complete a specific project given to you.

There may be a certain delay in completing your project at the workplace.

Or it may be some start-ups that you keep trying to start something. It fails. You start something. It fails again. You get mocked by your loved ones as you cannot provide for the family. You may feel it is the same cycle over and over again.

2nd Corinthians chap 12:9a (NIV); But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

Your weakness today might be a huge struggle for you. You may feel it is tough. It is challenging. You may not have the resources needed. You may not have the sufficient skills to carry them out. You may feel very alone in a particular journey you are going through. You may not even have the time you need to complete them.

But the Good Lord reminded me today that His grace is sufficient.

That area where you are struggling today will be a testimony as it is a platform for the Lord to reveal His Glory.

Have you all been in a situation where you are trying so hard to do or complete something but are facing a struggle in one way or another?

There have been delays in every area of your life, and you wonder what went wrong. You may have lost yourself all these years of trying to achieve something beyond your human capabilities. Inferiority and insecurity crept in. The devil has been planting all kinds of unnecessary thoughts in your mind that you find it so difficult to move forward in life.

Sometimes, the best is coming back to the Lord. Setting apart time to read the Bible and go into a time of total surrender unto the Lord. When we talk about surrender, we come to a point of giving the situation to the Lord. We stop making plans and timelines on our own.

Dear readers, I encourage you to meditate upon this verse.

Psalm 37:5 (NLT) ” Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you.”

Every day is a gift from the Lord. We must be excited to put God in charge of our work. Working on our strengths may tire us and make us to be frustrated in life. As a result, we see others going ahead of us. Subconsciously, we created a victim mindset. This is definitely not from God.

Most importantly, we do not compare with others but value what God has given us as a gift. Recognize the plans of God in everything we do. He will not leave us, nor will He forsake us.

There is power when we learn to submit our work unto the Lord. When we learn to submit unto the Lord, there will be little murmuring and complaining, and more work will be done. The devil wants us to focus on our weaknesses. The Lord wants us to focus on His grace.

Moving ahead in the following months of 2024, let us learn to commit unto the Lord our work. We spend most of our time at the workplace. Let the Good Lord take care of any workplace projects, assignments, or needs. We submit unto the Lord.

Living the let-go life is the best life anyone can live. This life helps us understand that the Lord controls our lives. We stop doing things according to our own plans. We don’t struggle to make a living. His grace is sufficient.

Say this today: ”Abba, thank you for being in charge of my work.”-R.J.JOHN

Prayer for today: ”Abba, I thank you, Lord, you are faithful. You are good always. I commit my readers unto your hands. You know their works. The needs and the struggles of each of them. I pray Lord there will be testimonies in the remaining months of this year as we all learn to commit every detail of our life unto your hands O God.”Amen

The Empty Tomb

The empty tomb reminds us there is power in resurrection. I firmly believe Christianity begins after the resurrection. Easter reminds us to worship the one faithful Lord, Jesus Christ.

I recall my walk with the Lord and asked the Holy Spirit what is new for this year’s Easter? What is the significance of the Empty Tomb in my life today?

The Holy Spirit reminded me the Lord redeems. I have come to realize life’s challenges and realities have pushed me down a lot, and I have to admit, at times, I have lost the courage and passion I once had in the Lord.

Looking back, I wonder where all the passion and excitement for the Lord go?

If there is one thing that can be restored in my life, I ask the Lord for the zeal I used to have. Zeal to come close to the Lord, knowing He is the Alpha and Omega of my life.Zeal to worship Him.Zeal to just surrender unto Him in all situations.

I know my Jesus heals. I know my Jesus restores. I know my Jesus redeems.

The Holy Spirit reminded me to go back unto the Lord. Sometimes, the only way to solve issues in life is to completely surrender to the will of God.

This Easter would be a season where we know we can return to the Lord. The Lord says this season would be a season of miracles and restoration.

John 11:25-26: “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die, and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

Romans 6:9: “We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him.”

I meditated upon the verses above, and the Holy Spirit reminded me that we can never die in our Spirit. Our Spirit will always be alive. And this can only take place when we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as a personal savior.

Rising from the dead reminds us that a supernatural intervention took place. He also wants to be seen among the people on Earth, so he appears to some people after the resurrection.

Mark chap 16 14; ” Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.

At first, the disciples doubted the risen Christ. Jesus had to rebuke them for their lack of faith. But the Lord reminded the disciples there were signs to follow to those who believed.

Mark chap 16: 15- 18;” He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

After the resurrection, Jesus appeared to the disciples, and there was something Jesus told the disciples to do. He asked them to go into the world and preach the Gospel. Those who believe will be baptized and saved. Four signs would follow those who believe.

  1. They will drive out demons
  2. They will speak in new tongues.
  3. They would not be hurt with any deadly poison. Divine protection
  4. When they place their hands on sick, they will get well. Divine healing

You may be in a challenging situation today. There may be demonic bondage that has trapped you in a situation. This Easter, I want to remind you that the Lord redeems. You have all the authority you have to drive out the demons out of your life. Jesus has done everything on the cross. The authority and liberty to change the situation is in your hands.

Like the disciples, they were rebuked by Jesus because of their unbelief. Does it sound like some of us today? We know we have a Lord. But why are we surrounded with doubts about this resurrected Jesus? Why do we doubt that He can solve our issues in life?

You may need divine provision.

You may need a healing.

You may just need peace in life.

You may need strength.

You may just want to move on to the next season of life.

Why doubt God?

Our body may be alive, but deep inside, we may feel we are dead in our spirit. There is no life, no joy, and no excitement in life. I pray this Easter season will be where we can remind ourselves that there is power in resurrection. Jesus died and was resurrected to show us the Gospel. There would not be any Gospel today if He did not resurrect back.

Dear readers, there is power in resurrection. We need to remind each other that there are signs that would follow those who believe. If you don’t see the sign, continue pressing on unto the Lord until you see these signs take place. Believe this, you belong to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Refuse to allow any second of your life to be dominated by the power of darkness. Enough is enough!

The Empty Tomb reminds us, there is no reason for us to be worried of anything in life.Jesus takes care.

The Gospel is the truth. And the truth will set us free! Never give up on the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord reigns!

Blessed Easter everyone!

Have a great celebration.-R.J.JOHN
