Have you all come across situations and asked yourself,” Where did I go wrong?”.

Have you all wondered how did you end up in a certain situation in life? It may be a delayed project. From 1 year to 2 years and suddenly when you look back, it has already been more than 10 years. You feel frustrated and you may have lost hope. It can be a shattered dream within you.

It can also be a messed-up relationship. A relationship that started with love, but as time went by it started to get bitter and one day you are left alone. There can be an issue of betrayal and trust. You may have trusted someone so much, but the trust has made you take wrong decisions in life. Bitter relationships and wrong companions may have led you to different temptations in life. It can be drugs, sexual immorality, or any temptations from the evil that you are unable to control.

It can also be a huge financial problem. From one debt to another debt and before you realize it, it is a huge circle of mess. Loan sharks, banks may be calling you to settle payments. You may be silently suffering inside expecting help.But you realise,the people close to you may have misjudge your actions and they ignore you. During this process you get hurt, tired, and frustrated.

You may be going through a season of fear,loneliness and frustration.You may not know what is the next step you should take.You may feel lost.Suddenly you are afraid to hope.Suddenly,there isn’t anyone around you that you can trust.

You may be given a project which is beyond your human capabilities.You just know you can never be able to do it.There is a sense of inferiority and lost.

You may be living a life of regrets today,but I would like to encourage my readers today,don’t stay long in this phase.You have to move forward.

Nobody knows what exactly you are going through, but I would like to reassure my readers, GOD KNOWS. The Holy Spirit knows the exact solution for your situation right now. You may not have a wise solution to solve the issues in your life, but He knows.

The good news is , everything that has taken place in your life is to help to nurture you and it is a process of maturing and learning. Nothing can be wrong in your life. It is very important to stay close to Jesus Christ. If you don’t have any human help for you right now, the good news is, if you know this Jesus Christ, you already have the solution.

Hebrews chap 13:5b ” Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”So we say with confidence,” The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

If you are in a situation of loss right now,I would like to encourage my readers to take charge of your life back.Nobody else is going to do it,except if you go forward and take your life back. Satan comes to steal,kill and destroy.Enough of lies and manipulation from the devil.Enough of crying or feeling sorry for yourself.Just be very bold and courageous to take your life back from the bondage of the devil.

If it is time,take your time back from the devil!

Take your health back from the devil!

Take your job back from the devil!

Take your finances back from the devil!

Take your God given dream back from the devil!

How do we take charge of our lives back?

James chap 4 : 7 (NIV) Submit yourselves,then,to God.Resist the devil,and he will flee from you.

The verse above clearly speaks on how can we resist the devil.The one and only way is submission to God.As we submit to God,we resist the devil and he will just have to flee.

Application:

1.As Easter is approaching take time off to seek God.Minimum of at least 30 minutes a day.Start with worship songs,reading the Bible and just talking to God.

2.Learn to obey the instruction of the Spirit regardless of your human capabilities.

3.Stop dwelling on wrong thoughts.

Luke chap 13: 10-13 ( NIV): On a Sabbath, Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for 18 years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her,” Woman , you are set free from your infirmity.”Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.

I was listening to a sermon by Rev Matthew K Punnose, the Vicar of my home church, the St Thomas Marthoma Church in Malaysia yesterday. It dawned to me as I was listening to the sermon, this women was crippled for 18 years. I wonder how did she go through all these years? Just imagine walking bent. It must have been a season of pain and suffering.

This women was crippled as she was bent over and could not straighten up at all. Medical science may have describe this condition as Camptocormia, the bent spine syndrome. It is defined as abnormal flexion of the trunk, appearing in standing position, increasing during walking and abating in supine position. The causes of this bent spine syndrome can be muscular in origin or associated with various neurological disorders. This condition also known as Kyphosis, also known as roundback or hunchback, is a condition in which the spine in the upper back has an excessive curvature.It can be related to spine diseases or bone degeneration diseases which can be a result of infection, tumours , diseases of the connective tissue or muscle dystrophy.

No matter what medical science calls this condition, as this women was in the synagogue, Jesus called her forward and said ”You are FREE from this infirmity.”

This woman may be attending the synagogue for years but at that particular Sabbath, Jesus saw her. I was blessed listening to the promising assurance that my church Vicar emphasised upon, that Jesus saw her. Likewise Jesus sees you and me. Are you a Christian today, and you may be attending church for years, but you may feel crippled in one way or another? You try so many ways to get out of this crippled situation, but it doesn’t work. ”Hey, I have good news. Jesus saw you today.”

There may be some who feel crippled in various ways. It can be a season of dryness, loneliness, financial or emotional struggle or it could even be a health ailment. You may feel trapped. The world may call all this condition differently; for example ; diseases, bondages, psychiatric disorders, debts, suffering, poverty, curses and the list may go on. The world has so many names for this crippleness. But there is a spirit that is holding on to the situation if you are experiencing this crippled situation. Try reading the scripture above, it states the women has been crippled by a spirit for 18 years. The main culprit is a spirit. An evil spirit!

Jesus is the Lord of your Life. If you are in any crippled situation, take charge and rebuke the Spirit like how Jesus did for the women. Remember this, JESUS SAW YOU!

You may ask me,” What should I do now, as I know there is a spirit that is causing this crippled situation,”?

Do not fret my readers, just believe Jesus has seen you and the miracle has taken place. Bless yourself. Rebuke the spirit out of your life, out of your families life. Try it and watch it work in your life. Fill yourself with worship songs. Talk to God often. Just be assured of this.Jesus has seen you today.

You may be someone who has been going to church for years and you may feel crippled in one way or another, I would like to encourage each of my readers, do not stop worshipping GOD. Do not stop praising the Lord Jesus Christ.In this new year, trust Jesus like never before. I speak upon your life this moment ”You are FREE today”!

John 14 : 15-20

‘‘If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.

When I was writing today’s note I recalled my first ever supernatural encounter I had 12 years ago. I never shared this experience with anyone, but today I was moved to write this note for my readers. I was a student back then and it was past midnight that particular day. I was fast asleep, and I was sleeping, suddenly a rush of wind rushed through my room windows. Until today I still remember clearly how heavy was the sound, I woke up with the sound of the wind. My bed was next to the window, and my window was widely open because of the rush of wind. I felt a strong wind blewn into my spirit and it was such a real experience. You know like someone blow something into your mouth. The feeling was so real and the voice was ”SOPHIA”.I was shocked and was afraid thinking what was blewn into me.I was surprised my roommates were fast asleep in spite of the rushing loud wind.

I was afraid, thinking who is this Sophia and I rushed down from 14th floor to the 8th floor of my hostel to meet a friend of mine who is a prayerful person.”I was so afraid of the audible voice, imagine I actually rushed down to 8th floor in the middle of the night to find her. I still remember knocking on her doors to wake her up.When she opened the doors, I was glad she was awake.

I told her, someone with the name of Sophia entered into my body. I am serious.”She laughed. I told her, ”This is nothing funny. Someone really entered me.” She held my hands and explained to me.

”Sophia means WISDOM in greek. You had a very supernatural experience. This is the Spirit of Wisdom that was poured out into your spirit.”I was like ‘huh”?

She sent me back to my room encouraging me to listen to a Christian sermon by Pastor Chris Oyakilhome entitled 3 kinds of wisdom.”

These are the few excerpts from the sermon. When God talks about SOPHIA, God is dealing with excellent things. Knowledge of His will in all wisdom.SOPHIA means the mystery of God, namely Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. SOPHIA means Wisdom of GOD. It gives INSIGHT INTO REALITIES.Insight into all level of learning including science.Insight into hidden things including symbolic language. Things that have difficulty you will have the answer. The wisdom of God is deposited deep into your Spirit.

I was in tears as I listened to the sermon throughout the night. I felt very blessed to have this experience. I had peace. At that moment I haven’t started writing. I never imagined writing would be a calling in my life. I never thought I would write and these notes will go to different nations. My roommates slept soundly that night not realising the strong wind. The next morning, I did ask them did they realise the strong wind. They did not.

Today, I have graduated and looking back at all those years, God has indeed deposited so much in me, and when I read my own notes, I believe it is not from me, but it is the Lord himself, the Spirit of Truth.

That encounter was so real, and many may not even believe or understand this experience. But this encounter was so real and I would always remember this encounter. The rush of wind was so real, the audible voice of God, ”SOPHIA” was so real in my Spirit till this moment.

Today, I am a medical doctor by grace called to serve Jesus Christ in this ministry and an author by grace. I believe there is so much more that needs to be done. Every day I am learning to trust God more and more. I believe these notes that I write, will speak to my readers. I pray you will be comforted knowing Jesus is the Lord of your life.

Proverbs chap 4 : 5-9 ”Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or turn away from them. Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her and she will watch over you. The beginning of wisdom is this; Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. Cherish her, and she will exalt you; embrace her and she will honour you. She will give you a garland to grace your head and present you with a glorious crown.

Dear folks, this Holy Spirit is so real. When you allow Him to be part of your life, you will do things you never imagined before. You will go nations you never expected. You will excel in every area of your life. You will be a blessing to everyone that comes to you. This wisdom is deposited deep in your spirit. It is time to get it out!Remember this,”YOU ARE ANNOINTED”!

If you are in a very difficult situation today, don’t fret. You only need wisdom. The good news is, there is Wisdom of God deposited in you to get you out of this situation. You have SOPHIA !

It is deep within you. You know what to do. The Holy Spirit is in you. Trust God! Trust yourself! The solution is in your hands! You are not alone. The Holy Spirit in you is your helper.

Do you all love daisies? One of my favorite flowers are daisies. Daisies come from a plant family called Asteraceae, which also includes aster flowers, ragweed, and sunflowers. Daisies can be found in many parts of the world, including North America. Daisies have been around since 2200 B.C when ancient Egyptians used them as herbal medicine.

There are few interesting facts about daisies. One single daisy flower is actually made up of two separate flowers. The center petals are one flower surrounded by the ”rays” of another flower.Daisies grow all year round.New gardeners would love daisies as daisies are naturally resistant to many plant diseases and pests.However,unfortunately,the English daisy ( Bellis perennis) is considered a stubborn weed in North American lawns.

Daisies are very much related to innocence, purity, new beginnings, true love, motherhood and hope. It signifies the beauty of God inside out. Daisies are delicate just the way there are. Just imagine yourself sitting in a garden full of daisies. How beautiful is that?

Isaiah 35: 1-2: “Even the wilderness and desert will be glad in those days. The wasteland will rejoice and blossom with spring crocuses. Yes, there will be an abundance of flowers and singing and joy! The deserts will become as green as the mountains of Lebanon, as lovely as Mount Carmel or the plain of Sharon. There the Lord will display his glory, the splendor of our God.”

The flowers here signify the joy and fulfillment of God’s Kingdom. When we obey the Lord’s instruction and follow His Word, we will be able to see His Kingdom in spite of challenges or struggles in life.

Use this verse as part of your prayer when you feel confused and lonely, for God is with you and He wants you to experience His glory. 

Look at yourself as someone who is so filled with the Kingdom of God, that it reflects innocence,purity, new beginnings, and the love of God in you. When you are so full of these, you can only pass on these qualities to your loved ones around you.

About 17 years ago, I met this friend at the airport. I introduce myself to her, and since then, God has given us this special bond, which is called friendship. This friend is beautiful , bold and courageous.

When I recall my years of friendship, I didn’t exactly click with her automatically. We had different mindsets. We had different goals in life. It took some time. It took years to actually get to know each other, to gain trust, and indirectly, I believe God has placed her as one of the key people in me achieving my destiny. She was a key person because she was my prayer partner. She never gave up on me.

It was my 4th or 5th year of friendship, she came to me and told me.”Let us start praying together. We would faithfully pray together those days. Those days were precious.Are we perfect friends? I won’t say yes. We have our differences. We have our disagreements , but the one and only thing that connects us is the prayer of agreement that we started years ago. We were young, excited for life, we both had huge dreams, and God knew in order to achieve this huge dream, we both need a prayer partner.

Her name is Avelynn Grace. She is a beautiful soul inside out.She is intelligent, talented ,loving, caring and someone who takes an extra mile for a person. Today is her birthday, I thought of dedicating this note to her and I believe in years to come this note will be in my future volumes of Joy of the Lord is my Strength series to remind someone out there,friendship matters.Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed.

If you are someone here who has a good friend in your life, learn to treasure them. Devils love breaking relationships and friendships. So many lies have been manipulated to break genuine friendships.If you were upset with some friends in your life, it is always wise to reconcile. It is important to pray for our friends.

Job 42 : 10 : When Job prayed for his friends,the Lord restored his fortunes,giving him twice as much as before.

At the same time, it is also very important to let go of certain friends who just doesn’t care. God removes certain people in order to achieve our destiny. But at the same time, certain friends are needed to reach our destiny.

COVID-19 pandemic has taught each and every one of us, that life is very precious. This pandemic has also thought us, we are living in another new era. This pandemic hit most of the countries worldwide in late 2019. It is 2022 now, and sadly we still see numbers of cases are still rising.

When we listen to the news today, there is so much insecurity, fear, and never-ending negative news that may or may not affect us subconsciously. We are living in a social media world and hence every single tiny piece of information be it the truth or false information is easily spread.

Research shows that what we see on news can significantly impact our mental health. Exposure to consistent negative news can affect the well-being of a person. Many may become upset as COVID-19 challenges continue to rise. Indirectly these challenges may cause someone to be bitter, upset, frustrated, insecure, and fearful.

Regardless of whatever challenges you may be facing today, I would like to encourage my readers to turn your eyes upon Jesus. If the devil is giving you wrong negative thoughts, be firm by rejecting those thoughts.

Thoughts of condemnation.Thoughts of fear.

”You can never make it.”

Don’t bother hoping.”

Your hopes will disappoint you.”

”You will never reach your dream. ”

”Your dreams are just a fantasy ”.

”God is not with you. He has forgotten you.”

The devil can continue attacking your thought system and indirectly you are allowing the devil to win. I am here to encourage each of my readers here, this JESUS is real. He is not just someone up there who is ignorant of our needs and prayers. He is real. Jesus died on the cross for you and me. If you have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, trust me He Saves.

Acts chap 16: 30-31 ”Sir, what must I do to be saved?”So they said,” Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Whatever challenges it can be, this 2022, turn your eyes upon JESUS. Enough is enough. Deep down in your heart, you know and have experienced this Lord Jesus Christ. Never allow the devil to plant these negative thoughts in you. Trust me, Enough is enough!

2. It is your life. Nobody is going to fix your life except yourself. Set apart time to get to know this JESUS.You have too.

Have you experienced broken relationships? It can be your friends, spouse, family members or even your church ministry. Deep down in your heart, you are hurt. You try to pick yourself up again, but you find it difficult. You may even try to explain your thoughts to your close ones, but you realize it is no point.It gets bad to worse.

What do you do during this season of broken relationships and hurt inside? Suddenly people misinterpret every thought or word that you tried to express. Your trust is broken and suddenly you aren’t sure did you make the right decision from day one.

I believe the Lord sees each of our struggles within us. It is wise to turn our direction to the Lord. If you are someone who has random thoughts running in your mind and it is draining you, stop these thoughts. Refuse to think negatively and dwell in the past.It is also wise to control our emotions and not dwell on these emotions.

One thing I have learnt in life is,the only way to move forward in life is to stop looking back at your past.

Genesis chap 19:26 (NIV)-But Lot’s wife looked back,and she became a pillar of salt.

In this story of Lot we see that that Lot was told to take his wife and daughters to leave Sodom.Earlier in the same chapter the angels told Lot dont look back.

Genesis chap 19 : 17 ( NIV)- As soon as they had brought them out,one of them said,”Flee for your lives!Don’t look back,and dont stop anywhere in the plain!Flee to the mountains or you will be swept away!”

But Lot’s wife looked back as the city burned.As a result she became a pillar of salt.

How do we look back?You may be in a broken relationship with someone right now.You must stop looking back at the broken relationships.Let GOD heal the relationship.When we put our focus on GOD,He heals our soul and makes us look at things differently.Most of the times,we get so worked up in random thoughts of the past that indirectly makes us tired.Most of the time it is really no point.You may be asking WHY or How for a situation that you are in right now.Trust me,stop all the why’s.God’s plan is always to give us a future and a plan.Stop looking back.

As 2021 is coming to an end,let us learn to stop looking back.When I say stop looking back,that includes our dissapointments and also our wins in our life.Start fresh.Delete your whole past and be excited as God charts your next season in life.

1st Corinthians chap 2 : 9 ( NIV)- ”What no eye has seen,what no ear has heard,and what no human mind has conceived,the things God has prepared for those who love him.”

Prayer:”Abba ,I thank you Lord for your mercy and grace upon me.I give you glory as you have been faithful in my life.I choose not to look back and look forward to receive your goodness only in my life.”Amen

Matthew chap 6: 33 (NIV) But seek first the Kingdom of His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

I remember memorizing this verse in my younger days during Sunday School. But years later, I caught a huge revelation of this verse.

When we talk about seeking first His Kingdom, what is this Kingdom about? I used to assume I have to put church attendance first. I have to put church activity first. It was about serving God. It was so much on trying to please God, the leaders, and the Church. I see there are trends of performance-based Christians.

But seeking this Kingdom is just beyond church attendance. Actually, the main ingredient needed is to give him our TIME. How much time do we spend with GOD? When we want to know someone more, we spend time talking to a particular person. Try to get to know their character and traits. If you know something is not right, you move away. If you receive something good, you stay.

You know something, it is the same thing with GOD. The character of God is love. He just wants to love us more and more. But we must be able to receive them.

How can we seek the Kingdom of God?

Proverbs chap 8: 17 (NIV ) “I love those who love me, and those who seek me will find me.

Deuteronomy chap 4: 29 ( NIV)” But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul. ”

Try taking time to just spend time with God. Talk to him. Give time in seeking the Word of God. If you have been running around busy looking for souls for Jesus, sometimes it is time to learn to just focus on yourself first. SEEK GOD!

If you are unhappy with certain things in your life,seek GOD. That is the only option.It is different about worrying and praying about a situation than seeking God.For example,you may have a health challenge. Instead of focussing on the health challenge, praying about it many times, drift your focus away.If you are unsure of the direction of your life turn your focus to JESUS.He will tell you what to do. Focus on HIS LOVE. At times we get so noisy in our minds. So many thoughts running in. Silence helps. Spend time reading the Word of GOD. GOD LOVES YOU.

Proverbs chap 3: 6 ( NIV) ”Seek His will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”

John chap 21: 6 (NIV)- He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

I was just reflecting on this verse today. If we read this whole passage of John chap 21, it states the fishermen could not catch any fish the entire night. Being a fisherman, imagine spending the whole night for fish, but there were unable to get any. Being fishermen, supposedly, they should be already well versed in the timing and location of getting fish. But that night, the Bible states they caught nothing.

Have you come across situations in life where you work and work so hard, and yet you feel empty inside? You work so hard, and when you receive your income, you pay all your commitments and have nothing in your hand. It may be years you are struggling to keep your ends meet. You blame the devil, the people around you, for what is happening in your life.

Sometimes, we tend to just forget to do the one thing required of us, that is to give attention to GOD alone. Do you spend time reading the Bible? Is your life consistent with what the Bible says? Are you unknowingly worshipping idols in your life?

Have you thought that maybe you have been fishing on the wrong side of the boat? Perhaps you have been on the wrong side of your life? Commitments, insecurity, fear may have lead you to make wrong choices in life in the past.

Jesus told the disciples to throw at the right side of the boat. Imagine if one of the fishermen responded, saying,” There won’t be any fishes on the right side too” ‘But thank God, they obeyed and threw the nets on the right side, and then there were too many fishes.

Dear readers, sometimes the key to being on the right side of your life is obedience. Obeying the Voice of the Lord. Not men. Many Christians have the trend of seeking Pastors or leaders to give directions in life. We go from one pastor to another pastor for solutions in life. We go from one church to another church seeking God asking for which side we should be in. It is wise to take a pause and reflect. Are you seeking men or GOD? Leaders are there to lead us. We need Pastors and leaders in our life, but at the end of the day, your relationship with God is between you and Him alone. There is no middle person.

You may not have the skills required for a specific task given to you. You may not have the support that you need to do something. You may be working so hard, but you are unable to reap the harvest of your work.

Are you on the wrong side? I may not be able to give you the answer today. But Jesus can. Take time to give serious attention to the Lord. There are 24 hours given to each of us in a day. How much time do we allocate to just seek God? Is he telling you to do something? Does it sound so impossible?

Seek God. Then you can hear His voice. He will direct you exactly where you should cast your net.

Remember, OBEDIENCE is the key. If you keep casting your net on the wrong side, you will receive nothing. Get serious in casting your net to the other side.

Psalm 107: 1 ”O Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.!”

In a world where we are always busy rushing for work, assignments, family, and the pandemic, many times we tend to just miss out on the goodness of God. Thanking God just becomes a routine and we are not convicted of this power of gratefulness. Have we ask ourselves. Why do we give thanks? To me personally, I give thanks to God because deep down within me I am convicted of the powerful mighty hand of God upon me. I am grateful for His Love upon me.

When we choose to be grateful for what we have, there is a supernatural release of power that takes place.

Let’s look at the first miracle of the bible. The famous parable of Jesus changing water into wine. You can read them in John chap 2: 1-11. I was always reminded of this first miracle that Jesus did and the power of believing.

But as I was reading this passage, I notice that Jesus’s mother told him ”They are out of wine.”But at that moment, Jesus actually replied ”Is that any of our business,mother-yours or mine? This isn’t my time, Don’t push me.” -John chap 2: 4-MSG

Even after Jesus telling his mother, it isn’t the right time, the mother went ahead anyway, telling the servants ”Whatever he tells you to do, do it.” John chap 2: 5b-MSG.Then, the miracle took place, as Jesus notice 6 stoneware water pots and he ordered to fill the pots with water. And the water turned into wine.

I realize Jesus’s mother was assured. She knew her son would take care of the wine issue during the banquet. Although during that time, Jesus has not performed any miracle yet. I believe Jesus’s mother was grateful to have Jesus there at the wedding banquet. She just knew his son would take care of it. When she told the servants to just follow what Jesus ordered there was a strong conviction in her that she knows that her needs will be taken care of for the wedding banquet.

I realize there is power in being grateful for what we have. Who would expect half-filled 6 stoneware water pots which are filled with water could turn into wine? Jesus’s mother did. Jesus changed water into wine.

If you are in a situation that seems so dark, I would like to encourage each reader here to be grateful. Stop doing maths. Stop doing calculations or trying methods to fix your current issue. Stop asking GOD why and how. You only need JESUS. You must rest assured of the power of the Almighty to do the impossible for you and YOU just rest.

Be assured He is taking care of your deepest desires and needs. There is power in being grateful and just honor the Sovereignty of the Lord Almighty and let His glory take place in your life.RELAX!

1. Take a moment to be grateful to Jesus for what He has done in your life.Even if its half filled stoneware water pots,remember when you are grateful enough,the miracle takes place.Anything that seems to be empty in your hand, can also be multipled by the Grace of God.Gratefulness is the key.
