Recognising Deception

A few days ago, I was having dinner when a group of girls approached me and shared the Gospel. They invited me to an ongoing evening celebration, and the church was just a few blocks away. I didn’t think much, and I accepted the invitation.

I walked with the girls to the church. When I arrived at the church, I realized the church was packed. I didn’t know the existence of such a massive church in the centre of a city. The church elder passed me a veil and told me I needed to wear the veil in church. I agreed, and it didn’t bother me much. The songs were amazing. The choir team majestically sang them. The first few songs were terrific. Suddenly the last song ended with ”We believe in the name of Christ ( a human person’s name was given ) and another lady person whom they refer to as God the mother. There is a human name added to Christ. It wasn’t Jesus Christ. Suddenly I wasn’t peaceful. ”I was like, who is this person?”

I listened carefully during the sermon session and realized this ministry started as early as the 1960s, introducing the second coming of Jesus Christ. They refer to the second coming of Jesus Christ as another person on earth which has already taken place. A human name and person is given. They believe it is this person. The ministry started then and has grown to more than 4 million members in more than 170 countries. It is still growing up to this day.

I was uncomfortable the whole time, and I just wanted to run away from the service but I couldn’t as my seating was blocked by another member sitting next to me. I had to sit through the whole session. As I needed to sit through the entire session, I listened carefully to what was being preached. They believe humans expecting Jesus Christ to come again is in vain. This is because they believe he has already come. I realize they can quote the Bible verses so well. They know the verses in and out. They can connect the bible verses so well in accordance to their belief system. I also realize the majority of the congregation is good-looking and very well dressed. I was even amazed they have seminary school training pastors, and they have ministries all around the world. They have done so much of outreach activities across the globe.

Their ministry is significant. But somehow, I felt uncomfortable throughout the service session. The moment the service ended, I ran away from the place. As I was running away, this verse came deep into my spirit ‘‘I am the way, the truth, and the Life. Nobody comes to the Father, except me the Lord Jesus Christ.”

It was an eye-opener for me as I realized that many out there share the Gospel, claiming they are the truth. Each ministry claims they are the truth. Who is the truth? What is the truth?

I was meditating upon this verse, and it helped me. I pray it will help you
too.

Colossians chap 2:6 ” So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord,
continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in
the faith as you were taught , and overflowing with thankfulness. See to it
that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which
depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world
rather than on Christ. For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in
bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head
over every power and authority.

While meditating upon these verses, I realized the Bible had reminded us not to be captivated by deceptive philosophy. They are many who would come and claim they are the truth. Claiming they are the Man of God. There would come up with a philosophy. With this deceptive philosophy many are held captive. I believe the Holy Spirit is there to guide us through. We must step away when we realize there is some deception or deviation from the Gospel.

It is essential to go back to the Word of God, which is the Bible. When we talk about human tradition, it is not so much about the culture and practice alone, but any man-made rules are a tradition that is unknowingly built within the church. Most of the time, if you notice these man-made rules are being manipulated by using bible verses, it is high time to step away.

Matthew chap 24: 4& 5 Jesus answered:” Watch out that no one deceives you. Many will come in my name, claiming, ”I am the Messiah” and deceive many.”

It is vital to know and study the Bible carefully. Take some time apart in a day to study the Bible. You have to. Many will come claiming they are the Messiah. The only weapon you have to know exactly who the deceiver is , is the Word of God and the Holy Spirit.

Once you recognize deception, you step away. When I reflected on my visit to that particular church,I realized my spirit recognised deception and  I ran away. I actually did physically ran away that evening. But this is also a reminder to pray for many of our brethren who has been deceived. It is also vital to pray for ourselves to always discern the truth and also the millions out there.

Whichever church you are rooted currently in, once you recognize there is a form of deception,  first pray about it, and then the best is to step away. Surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ. Restart basics from the Word of God, and let the Holy Spirit guide you through.

Say this today : Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life- R.J.JOHN

Application :

  1. Take time to study the Bible seriously.Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you.
  2. Pray for souls around the world to come to know the one true Lord Jesus Christ.

Prayer for today : ”Abba,I thank you Lord for your love upon my readers and myself Lord.I pray Lord for wisdom and understanding in every area of our life.” Amen

To God be the Glory

I attempted to write again after taking a long break. I realize when God
calls you to do something, he will equip you whenever you are ready. Do you
have a gift that is deep in your soul? Deep down in your heart, you know you
must work on a particular project.

God spoke to me about 12 years ago in a vision and personal encounter. He
has called me to write for HIM. Since then, I have always expressed my thoughts
in each of my notes. I write unto the Lord.

During this 12-year journey, I have learned to humble myself and continue
trusting Him. I remember the day I was so excited that I had a personal
encounter with the Lord. It was my university days. I was excited and
ignorantly told many people around me I had received a vision from the Lord.
There was so much excitement and joy bubbling in my spirit during that time. I
did not know it was not wise to do so. Some around me did not have a genuine
heart. I learned the hard way.

Along the process, the excitement and zeal left me. I was more concerned and
worried about things around me. I started to lose my focus on writing. I did everything else except spend time writing.
Bitterness and unforgiveness crawled into my life without me realizing it.The
the focus was no longer there. It was more to pleasing men and not the Lord. I lost
my trust in men and realized I must trust God.

Looking back, I have learned to forgive and mature in Christ. I have decided
to draw my full attention to writing and shift my focus to the Lord.

Have you all heard about the celebration of Rosh Hashanah? I was reading Rosh
Hashanah yesterday. Rosh Hashanah is the beginning of the Jewish New Year,
marking the Jewish Holy Days. This year’s Rosh Hashanah marks the start of the year
5783 in the Hebrew calendar.

What does Rosh Hashanah symbolize? Rosh Hashanah is a celebration of the
creation of the world and marks making a fresh start. One of the traditions of
Rosh Hashanah is to blow a big horn called a Shofar. The Shofar is
one of the world’s oldest known wind instruments.(https://www.myjewishlearning.com/article/rosh-hashanah-101/)

During this Rosh Hashanah, I rededicated my life again to the Lord. I asked
God for his forgiveness, and I told the Lord I wanted to make a fresh start
again. Let this be a new year for me. I made up my mind I only wanted to focus
on the Lord. I am tired of pleasing men. I made up my mind each note is
dedicated to the Lord.

Have you all had encounters with God before? I believe each of us has our encounters
with God. Sometimes we need to find reasons to keep ourselves going.

Even if we drift away from the original plan, I was reminded by this verse
today ‘

Hebrews chap 13: 5b ( NIV)  ”Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.”

When we are in a situation where we do not know what else to do to solve
certain problems in life, the best is to step away from the case and reflect on
what God has given us in our hands. It could be a gift. A gift of singing, writing, or baking. Use it for His glory. Most of the time, we complicate life, giving
various reasons of why and how. It doesn’t work that way. We have to submit unto
the Lord.

When we start doing things on our ability and timeline, we lose our focus on
God. We start thinking and doing things logically and according to the ways of
men. Trust me, and I went through the hard way; it doesn’t work.

Join me as I continue writing unto the Lord. If you have a gift, use it for
His glory.

Say this today: I am making a fresh new start – R.J.JOHN

Application: Spend time cultivating your gift. For the rest,
let God take care. It would be best if you spent time on your gift.

Prayer for today: ”Abba Father, I thank you, Lord, for
this new year. I submit my life and my reader’s life into your hands. Let this
new year be a year of blessing.Let the journey of this dream bring you glory.”Amen

Trust Him

Psalms 9: 10 (NIV) Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.

Are you someone here who is struggling to be successful? You feel there is such a struggle in becoming the person whom God has destined you. You try many ways to make certain things work in your life, but somehow it isn’t working. Deep down in your heart, you want more in life. You may feel there is a season of dryness and stagnation.

I would like to encourage my readers today, TRUST GOD. When you trust someone, there is a form of security. You just know things will be good. Do you have a loved one that you trust? Deep down in your heart, you just know that the person will be there for you when you need the person the most. The person could be your husband, your parents, or your good friend. You just know you can trust the person. Trust is built upon a relationship and spending time with the person. Knowing the person for who he is. That is trust.

If you are someone here who says you trust God, but at the same time you doubt that God is a God of the supernatural, you are actually not trusting him. This happens when we do things religiously. We don’t spend time with God to know Him enough. Before God can do or work out something supernatural in life, you may want to give up or find men to give you the solution.

In my medical profession journey, I remember in my early days as a junior doctor, I was always insecure and felt I could never provide the best for my patients. I thought I trusted God, but I wanted an easy way out: to quit medicine and do something easier. I remember those days, I would always want to quit every single day. But God is a faithful God. He helped me and walked me through the journey.

God was faithful. He handpicked me and gave me the courage, and I realized the more I spent time with the Lord, it is no more I did, but I came to realize this whole journey was to give God the glory. 10 years later, I am in the midst of completing a huge project related to my medical profession, and again I’m filled with insecurity. But this time, this small, still voice reminds me that ” I AM the God of wonders. Trust Me.”

Many times we tend to look at what we don’t have. For example, we may not have the skills, the support, or the finances to do something. But if you already have all that, why need God then? God can only come in when you realize you don’t have something and trust the Lord completely. When you trust, remember, it is God’s way. Many times we do things our way and assume it is God’s way. God’s way will not bring you to a place of dryness, darkness, debts, and frustration.

When it is God’s way, it is no more your plan. It is no more your logical way of human understanding to solve problems in life. His plans are way bigger beyond your human understanding because God is God. Human understanding always brings us to a place of a temporary solution .

If you are someone here who is going through some challenges today, I would like to encourage my readers to spend time with God. Stop taking actions based on your human understanding. The result of who you are today is the result of the human choices made every time. The devil has taken advantage of the situation and made you make wrong choices in life. It could be financial pressure, insecurity, emotional stress, and fear. If you want a change in your life, it is time to stop making human choices. Be at peace. Trust the Lord.

It is ok when you don’t know how to solve your current situation because the Lord knows the solution at the end of the day. This time it is a permanent solution. Trust the Lord.

Say this today: ” I trust the Lord Jesus Christ ”-R.J.JOHN.

Prayer: ”Abba, I thank you that you are the Lord of the supernatural. I pray, Lord, as we trust in you, Lord, help us know who you are. I thank you for your ways are higher than our ways.”Amen

Application:

  1. When you spend time with God, pause and hear from Him. Learn to get to know Him. The relationship involves two people.

2. If you need an urgent solution, just thank God that the solution has come and let it go. Thank God for the solution. If worry, negative thoughts, and fear come into your mind, just ignore them and trust the Lord. The Lord is in control of your situation. Let Him do His way this time.

I was writing this note as I listened to the lyrics of this song. Listen and be blessed!

Father’s Love

Today I was moved to write this note entitled Father’s Love. When we talk about the Father’s love, what comes into your mind? I am not talking about our earthly fathers but our Heavenly Father. This Father’s Love is something we individuals experience. It is an individual encounter with the Lord. Have you encountered His Love?

Jeremiah chap 31 :3 (NIV)

The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying:

“I have loved you with an everlasting love;
I have drawn you with unfailing kindness
.

How do we experience this Father’s love?

John chap 1: 1 (NIV) In the beginning, was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word is God.

Many of us go searching for God outside of the Word of God. We may be faithful Christians. We may be actively involved in church activities but we tend not to take time off to just spend some time with the Lord.

Have we come before the presence of the Lord with so much of complaints and prayer requests? Have you been noisy before the Lord? How do you want to experience the Father’s love when we have so much of worries. Unforgiveness, bitterness, and offense slowly creep into the heart when we realize things don’t go according to our plan.

If you are going through a very challenging situation, you may have night cries within your heart every single night, I would like to encourage each of my readers, to be bold and courageous. Stop figuring out how. Just submit your current situation unto the Lord and spend time with Him. Spend time just reading the Word of God. Even if you don’t understand a certain passage, it is ok. The more time you spend with the Lord, the Holy Spirit will open your hearts and mind to the realities of the Word of God.

My late grandfather used to be up every morning by 5am singing praises to God and reading the Word of God. I was young at that time. I could always hear him reading the Bible out aloud through my room window. I would be lazy to wake up and join his prayer sessions, but I believe he was a man of God who knew and experienced the love of the Father.

The new generation now is so drawn into the busyness of life, social media, and hangouts, that we forget what the Lord requires is just some quiet time from us. We must spend time knowing who is Jesus Christ. Once we know and experience the reality of this true God in our lives, things can never be the same again. The Bible becomes so ALIVE!

To my readers, our Heavenly Father wants you to experience His Love again.

It is ok if things don’t go according to your plan. The Lord Almighty has a better plan. Just trust the Lord. Do not fret, just soak in His presence and His Love. Talk to Him. Hear from Him. He will take care. If you loved someone, you would spend time knowing the person. Get to know the Lord. Spend time with the Lord.

1st Corinthians chap 2: 9 ( NIV)

 However, as it is written:

“What no eye has seen,
    what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”
the things God has prepared for those who love him—

Say this today : The Lord loves me-R.J.JOHN

Prayer for today : ”Abba, I thank you Lord for this Love upon me and my readers today. I pray for your touch upon us.I pray we experience your love like never before again.

Application:

  1. Spend time with the Lord.

2. Pick one book of the Bible. For example, the book of John. Study and meditate upon the book.

The Shavuot

Today was the first time I heard someone say we are at the time of the Feast of Shavuot. At first, I didn’t understand the meaning of this festival so I took some time to do some reading about this festival.

Shavuot, the “Feast of Weeks,” is celebrated seven weeks after Passover. Shavuot takes place exactly 50 days after the first seder. (ceremonial meal and telling of the Passover story on the first two nights of Passover.)Shavuot is also referred to sometimes as Pentecost. (My Jewish Learning)

Today evening on 6th June 2022 I had my own experience of the festival of Shavuot. There was an ongoing prayer session in a Christian Conference, I went forward wanting to have an encounter with the Lord. The Pastor who was ministering touched my forehead and I just fell under the anointing of the Spirit.

Many years ago I had this experience and I was filled with joy to experience this Glory of God on me. It was an unexplainable feeling but I just knew something supernatural took place. As I was slain by the Spirit, God brought me to many nations. I could see notes and the Lord’s footprints. I saw the world map and a white scarf with footprints with my notes to these many nations. The Lord reminded me, that my writings do not belong to me but it is for the Lord. The Lord reminded me of His Gift upon my life. I felt my Spirit left my physical body at that moment and the Lord took me to many nations.

Acts chap 1:The 8 (NIV) But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The anointing was so heavy on me that I just couldn’t wake up until the Holy Spirit told me,” You need this for your next assignment.”I felt the Glory of God was upon me that I couldn’t sleep that I just had to wake up and write this note. The Word ”Shavuot” was just ringing in my mind.

The Torah was given by God to the Jewish people on Mount Sinai on Shavuot more than 3,300 years ago. Every year on the holiday of Shavuot the people would renew their acceptance of God’s gift and God ”re-gives” the Torah. Torah literally means ” instruction ”-meaning some sort of guidance in life. But when Jews say “Torah,” they’re most likely speaking of the Five Books of Moses, the foundation of all Jewish instruction and guidance. (Chabad.Org Library)

Are you at a season where you need to receive from the Lord again? The Lord freely gives to anyone who comes before His Throne. Sometimes we make life so complicated without acknowledging the work of the Holy Spirit in us. Without the Holy Spirit in us, the gifts and calling that God has given to us become very difficult and frustrating. It is not the Lord’s plan. Take advantage of the Holy Spirit in you today to fulfill the calling of God in your life. The Holy Spirit would want to use our gifts to fulfill the destiny the Lord has for each and every one of us.

I just want to say ”Thank you, Lord, for this revisitation. I love you very much.Let your Glory be revealed in my life. Help me keep this Torah close to my heart.”Amen.

Seed of Greatness

1st Corinthians chap 2: 9 ( NIV) : However , as it is written : “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived “-the things God has prepared for those who love him –

Today, I was driving to work, and this phrase came close to my spirit.” Seed of Greatness.”

Today, the Holy Spirit reminded me that we have this seed of greatness. This seed in us is God’s gift to us. How much we use this seed for God’s glory determines the next phase or season in our life.

In Matthew 17:20b (NIV), : Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

The size of mustard seeds is usually about 1 to 2 millimeters (0.039 to 0.079 in) in diameter and maybe colored from yellowish white to black. I thought to myself, how come Jesus said we only need to have faith as small as a mustard seed? Sometimes we pressure ourselves so much, assuming we don’t have faith to move this mountain. We don’t have enough faith to settle a particular issue in life. Each of us is already given a gift. This gift is the seed as small as a mustard seed that is already planted deep in our spirit.

Then why do some people struggle so much to move the mountain in their life even after receiving this gift of a small seed? It may be weeks, months, years, and some decades. It is like a circle. You come back to square one on the problem. You blame the community, the people, and of course the devil. The blaming game continues for weeks, months , years, and without realizing it , it has been decades. After praying for the mountain to be removed for all these years, the mountain doesn’t seem to be moving?

One thing we must know about mustard seeds is, that it is not only about the size of the seed but the seeds must-have proper soil and atmosphere for it to germinate well. For mustard seeds to generally grow well, it needs approximately eight to ten days to germinate well and this relatively depends on the cold atmosphere and moderately moist soil. If we put the mustard seed in hot weather and dry soil, how much we pray for it to grow well, it would not grow well because it is not placed in the right condition.

Likewise, in our Christian faith, we may be praying for years for certain situations in life and yet we don’t see a change in our everyday life. We do everything that the Lord has told us to do, yet we don’t see a difference. The problem may not be the size of the faith, it may be the condition of the environment you are in. The condition or environment does affect the size of the faith that we have because the seed in us needs proper nutrition and nourishment. The right church to grow for the seed in us is vital for the seed to grow into a garden. Praying according to the will of God is essential in ensuring our next step in life.

Matthew 13:32, ESV: It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree , so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.”

Once we become born again Christians, the seed of greatness is already planted in us. This seed of greatness is the seed of faith that is birthed into your spirit. Refuse to think that you don’t have enough faith. The devil would always try to squeeze your faith. This is because that is a seed. The seed will either grow or die.

But to ensure it grows, it must be planted in the suitable soil. We should not allow the devil to steal that seed of greatness in us. Condemnation, negative thinking, wrong thoughts , wrong relationships, wrong soil gives open door of opportunity to the devil to take away that seed of greatness .

We are called to do great things for GOD. The seed of a mustard faith is already given to us as a gift. Just ensure it is planted at the right soil to ensure it grows into a plant and be able to give birds to perch. In other words, the seed in us is a gift in us so that we can become a blessing to others around us. If you are not sure which is the right soil for you to ensure the mustard seed grows, take time seriously with God. Ask God to show you the right soil. Do not follow the crowd. Stop the blaming game. Take responsibility of choices in life and make wise choices for the next season of your life.

Say this today: I thank you Lord I have faith as a mustard seed.I thank you Lord I am growing into a beautiful garden for the Lord to use me.-R.J.JOHN

Prayer for today:” I thank you Lord I have faith to remove the mountains in my life. I rebuke any Spirit of Darkness out of my life and my reader’s life. I speak growth of the seed of faith that you have planted in my reader’s heart right now. They have found the right soil to grow. It is so in Jesus name.” Amen

Application:

  1. Give thanks for the gift of this seed of greatness in your life.
  2. Pray for the right church, the right environment for the seed to grow.
  3. Never make the same choices in life where it has led you to a huge mountain in your life. Be determined to trust God and make right choices in life.
  4. Do not focus on your faith, but faith in GOD. He is able.

One Step at a Time

Have you all had projects that you aren’t sure of what is your next step? And when you are not sure, you do everything else except touch on your project. Have you? I have.

I was given a huge project to complete. From the very beginning, I wasn’t confident, and I had fear and anxiety to complete them. I just couldn’t see myself completing the journey. From days to weeks, and now months I have been delaying it. I was procrastinating on the project. I felt lost and just didn’t know where to start. Today, as I forced myself to try to touch the project again, I heard a small still voice in me.”Take small steps. One day at a time.”

I knew the Holy Spirit was reminding me to complete what He has started in me. He started reminding me, that the project was not about me, but to fulfill his destiny in me. I recalled the story of Moses when God called Moses to lead the Jews out of slavery in Egypt and led them to the Holy Land that God has promised them.

When God called Moses, Moses immediately told God that he is not the right person to complete the task given to him. Moses immediately told God that he stammers.

Exodus chap 4: 10 (NIV) ”Moses said to the Lord,” Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past not since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.”

To see God’s response to Moses was beautiful.

Exodus chap 4: 12 (NIV) ”Now go, I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.”

Many times we tend to forget it is the Lord God who handpicks us. When the Lord handpicks you to do a certain job, always remember it is not by your own wisdom or strength, but it is the Lord who will help us speak or teach us.

I remember clearly when I was given the project, I wanted to quit and was grumbling to  God telling him, I can never complete it. I am not good in this field. But when I was reflecting on the story of how God chose Moses and God himself will help Moses speak and teach what to say, I realise what matters most in every journey God has called is simply obedience.

When you obey the call, He leads. He perfects your weakness. He sends angels to help you complete the project. God has gone before you to complete what has been started in you.

Deuteronomy chap 31:8 (NIV) ”The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

I believe nobody can work anything if you are in a state of discouragement. Just move forward. Take one step at a time. Trust God’s timing. Trust the process.

John chap 14:26 ( NIV) ”But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

Don’t do the project alone. It will be a very tiring journey. Invite the Holy Spirit to be your partner and watch the wisdom, speed, and the result of the Holy Spirit in your project.

Say this today: ”I thank you Lord for the gift of the Holy Spirit in me to complete what is started in me.”-R.J.JOHN

Prayer for today: ”Abba, I would like to invite the Holy Spirit to be in me as I complete this project. I thank you, Lord I am not alone. I also pray for my readers who are in the middle of different projects, as they invite you in their project, I pray for ease in their project.” Amen.

Application:

  1. Take small steps. One day at a time.

2. Allocate time for the project.

3. Speak in tongues minimum 30 minutes a day.

4. Take care of your mental health. Don’t drain yourself thinking unnecessary thoughts.

The true Essence of Good Friday

Today is the Good Friday celebration for Christians worldwide.

When it comes to Good Friday, we will constantly be reminded that Jesus died
on the cross, and he took away our sins.

Matthew chap 27: 50 (NIV) ”And when Jesus had cried out again in
a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.

Here we see the moment Jesus decided to give up his spirit, his death took
place, and the body is no more alive. What does this signify?

This signifies that our human body is just beyond this physical body today.
The human body is made up of all the living and nonliving components that
create the entire structure of the human organism, including every living cell,
tissue, and organ. Our bodies consist of several biological systems that carry
out specific functions necessary for everyday living.

There are systems in the body that helps the body to function correctly. The
circulatory system is to move blood, nutrients, oxygen, carbon dioxide, and
hormones around the body. It consists of the heart, blood vessels, arteries,
and veins. The human body’s network of blood vessels, veins, and capillaries is
over 96,560 kilometers long, and this is long enough to go around the world
more than twice. ( Cleveland Clinic)

Besides the circulatory system, the digestive system, endocrine
system, immune system, lymphatic system, nervous system, muscular system, reproductive system, respiratory system, urinary system, and the skin or integumentary system. Each of these systems has its function and role in ensuring the body functions properly.

In the story of Jesus’s crucifixion, we see that Jesus has lost so much blood,
and this may have caused a disruption to the human system at that moment.
However,I realize that death only took place when Jesus decided to give up his
spirit. This tells us a lot of hidden truths behind this crucifixion. I have
come to realize that each of us here today we are just beyond this physical
human body. Each of us we have a body, soul, and spirit.

There is a real person within you. Unseen in physical realms. Your emotions
and thought system are within the soul. But if you want to speak to God or hear
from God or have an extraordinary encounter with the Lord, it is through the
human spirit. In other words, it is the Holy Spirit in us.

John chap 16: 7 (NIV); ”But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.

This tells us something, Jesus’s crucifixion is not something that we
should be sad about. But instead, rejoice because this is the true beginning of
power over death.

When Jesus died on the cross, he gave us a gift. Each of us has this
gift today, which is the gift of salvation. This gift of salvation means He
saves. In the Book of Genesis, we read the story of Adam and Eve. Before Eve
ate the apple, both Adam and Eve didn’t know they were naked. How come? How
come there did not see they were naked. But scripture tells us that the moment Eve
ate the apple, both Adam and Eve felt shy and started finding a place to
hide. What does this tell us?. Their eyes were open to see things that
were not planned by God. Sin has crept into the world. It is human nature called sin.

So before Jesus came, the world was under this sin. Since then, many generations have come, but it was a life of bondage and sin. When Jesus came, the only way to
save the world is by shedding blood that is to take away our
sins.

When we accept Jesus as our personal savior and believe He died on the
cross and took away our sins, we no longer live a sinful human nature
life. Instead, we live the God kind of life. We carry a new breed. This divine
life of God. It is like taking off your old shirt and wearing your new set of
cloth.

The best gift that Jesus gave us during this Good Friday is the gift of
salvation. When we know this true meaning of salvation, we will never take church
attendance lightly, we would never take communion lightly, we will never live
our life the same. We will stop murmuring. We will stop grumbling. We would not be easily offended. We will start using the gift of God in us for His Glory. It is no more for people. It is no more for money and title. But is only for the Glory of God. We will not live a frustrated life. The blood of Jesus that was shed for you and me, when we decide to follow Jesus truly, it changes our lives. This decision you make today is essential. It doesn’t mean if your grandfather is a Christian, you are automatically a Christian. You need to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour today. It changes the generation after us.

This divine life of God is so powerful that we radiate His Glory. We can never live a defeated Christian life when we have absorbed and soaked this true meaning of Good Friday. If you are going through any challenge today, cheer up and remember the victory of the blood of Jesus Christ. The real Spirit man of you wants to talk and hear from God. Take some time off this Easter weekend with the Holy Spirit. Listen carefully to what He tells you to do as he embarks on your next chapter in life. Let us embrace this true gift of Salvation. Your life will never be the same anymore!

Take your LIFE back!

Have you all come across situations and asked yourself,” Where did I go wrong?”.

Have you all wondered how did you end up in a certain situation in life? It may be a delayed project. From 1 year to 2 years and suddenly when you look back, it has already been more than 10 years. You feel frustrated and you may have lost hope. It can be a shattered dream within you.

It can also be a messed-up relationship. A relationship that started with love, but as time went by it started to get bitter and one day you are left alone. There can be an issue of betrayal and trust. You may have trusted someone so much, but the trust has made you take wrong decisions in life. Bitter relationships and wrong companions may have led you to different temptations in life. It can be drugs, sexual immorality, or any temptations from the evil that you are unable to control.

It can also be a huge financial problem. From one debt to another debt and before you realize it, it is a huge circle of mess. Loan sharks, banks may be calling you to settle payments. You may be silently suffering inside expecting help. But you realise, the people close to you may have misjudge your actions and they ignore you. During this process you get hurt, tired, and frustrated.

You may be going through a season of fear, loneliness and frustration. You may not know what is the next step you should take. You may feel lost.Suddenly you are afraid to hope.Suddenly, there isn’t anyone around you that you can trust.

You may be given a project which is beyond your human capabilities. You just know you can never be able to do it.There is a sense of inferiority and lost.

You may be living a life of regrets today, but I would like to encourage my readers today, don’t stay long in this phase. You have to move forward.

Nobody knows what exactly you are going through, but I would like to reassure my readers, GOD KNOWS. The Holy Spirit knows the exact solution for your situation right now. You may not have a wise solution to solve the issues in your life, but He knows.

The good news is , everything that has taken place in your life is to help to nurture you and it is a process of maturing and learning. Nothing can be wrong in your life. It is very important to stay close to Jesus Christ. If you don’t have any human help for you right now, the good news is, if you know this Jesus Christ, you already have the solution.

Hebrews chap 13:5b ” Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”So we say with confidence,” The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

If you are in a situation of loss right now,I would like to encourage my readers to take charge of your life back.Nobody else is going to do it,except if you go forward and take your life back. Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy.Enough of lies and manipulation from the devil.Enough of crying or feeling sorry for yourself.Just be very bold and courageous to take your life back from the bondage of the devil.

If it is time, take your time back from the devil!

Take your marriage back from the devil!

Take your family back from the devil!

Take your health back from the devil!

Take your job back from the devil!

Take your finances back from the devil!

Take your God given dream back from the devil!

Take you joy back from the devil!

Take charge of your LIFE back!

How do we take charge of our lives back?

James chap 4 : 7 (NIV) Submit yourselves, then,to God.Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

The verse above clearly speaks on how can we resist the devil. The one and only way is submission to God.As we submit to God,we resist the devil and he will just have to flee.

The Bent Spine Syndrome

Luke chap 13: 10-13 ( NIV): On a Sabbath, Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for 18 years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her,” Woman , you are set free from your infirmity.”Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.

I was listening to a sermon by Rev Matthew K Punnose, the Vicar of my home church, the St Thomas Marthoma Church in Malaysia yesterday. It dawned to me as I was listening to the sermon, this women was crippled for 18 years. I wonder how did she go through all these years? Just imagine walking bent. It must have been a season of pain and suffering.

This women was crippled as she was bent over and could not straighten up at all. Medical science may have describe this condition as Camptocormia, the bent spine syndrome. It is defined as abnormal flexion of the trunk, appearing in standing position, increasing during walking and abating in supine position. The causes of this bent spine syndrome can be muscular in origin or associated with various neurological disorders. This condition also known as Kyphosis, also known as roundback or hunchback, is a condition in which the spine in the upper back has an excessive curvature. It can be related to spine diseases or bone degeneration diseases which can be a result of infection, tumours , diseases of the connective tissue or muscle dystrophy.

No matter what medical science calls this condition, as this women was in the synagogue, Jesus called her forward and said ”You are FREE from this infirmity.”

This woman may be attending the synagogue for years but at that particular Sabbath, Jesus saw her. I was blessed listening to the promising assurance that my church Vicar emphasised upon, that Jesus saw her. Likewise Jesus sees you and me. Are you a Christian today, and you may be attending church for years, but you may feel crippled in one way or another? You try so many ways to get out of this crippled situation, but it doesn’t work. ”Hey, I have good news. Jesus saw you today.”

There may be some who feel crippled in various ways. It can be a season of dryness, loneliness, financial or emotional struggle or it could even be a health ailment. You may feel trapped. The world may call all this condition differently; for example ; diseases, bondages, psychiatric disorders, debts, suffering, poverty, curses and the list may go on. The world has so many names for this crippleness. But there is a spirit that is holding on to the situation if you are experiencing this crippled situation. Try reading the scripture above, it states the women has been crippled by a spirit for 18 years. The main culprit is a spirit. An evil spirit!

Jesus is the Lord of your Life. If you are in any crippled situation, take charge and rebuke the Spirit like how Jesus did for the women. Remember this, JESUS SAW YOU!

You may ask me,” What should I do now, as I know there is a spirit that is causing this crippled situation,”?

Do not fret my readers, just believe Jesus has seen you and the miracle has taken place. Bless yourself. Rebuke the spirit out of your life, out of your families life. Try it and watch it work in your life. Fill yourself with worship songs. Talk to God often. Just be assured of this.Jesus has seen you today.

You may be someone who has been going to church for years and you may feel crippled in one way or another, I would like to encourage each of my readers, do not stop worshipping GOD. Do not stop praising the Lord Jesus Christ. In this new year, trust Jesus like never before. I speak upon your life this moment ”You are FREE today”!

Say this today : I refuse to be bent any longer. -R.J.JOHN

Prayer for today : ” Abba Father, I thank you Lord for your mercy upon us. I rebuke any spirit of infirmity, any spirit of the evil out of our lives. In the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ.” Amen.
