God does amazing beautiful things in life. I was attending a church in a small town today morning. I listened quietly and was amazed by the power of the Holy Spirit upon this church. Today is Pentecost Sunday, and Christians everywhere do remember this day.
The world needs the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Pentecost Sunday reminds us of the pouring of the Holy Spirit upon his people.
Acts chap 4:31 (NIV) ; After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.
Today, I experienced this reality in this church. The Pastor in this small town reminded the congregation of the power of the Holy Spirit. He reminded us that we are filled with the Holy Spirit. He was also teaching us the importance of obedience.
He heard an audible voice of God 44 years ago asking him to start a church in this small town. He obeyed the call 44 years ago. Today I was blessed to be part of this small church in this small town. It is not a mega-church in numbers, but it is a mega-church in spirit.
The people are so loving and so filled with the Holy Spirit. I recalled the love of God upon them. They might be small in numbers, but I was convicted it is a spirit-filled church.
Today the church is celebrating its 44th anniversary. This happened because one person obeyed the call, and the church has grown thus far. I never imagined a church in this small town. I believe God is doing wonders in different people’s lives through this Faith Christian Fellowship ministry.
Coming from the hustle and bustle of life, when I look at this church, I feel God wants to do something new in my life. A new season of surrendering unto the will of God. There are so many voices today. With social media today, the world has become so noisy. We do not have time for ourselves. We are always running around trying to get things done.
God sometimes isolates us from the hustle and bustle world and wants to draw close to us. This is the season when I need to go back to the basics of acknowledging the Lordship of Jesus Christ in my life.
When we look back at the old testament,
Exodus chap 19 : 9 The Lord said to Moses, ”I am going to come to you in a dense cloud,so that the people will hear me speaking with you and wil always put their trust in you.”
Today when I was in this church I felt the presence of this dense cloud. I was convinced it was the Holy Spirit’s presence upon this church.I felt the cloud was so heavy and magnificent upon the members of this church.It was a different feeling. It was the glory of God upon this ministry.
God is raising people in every part of the world to become his vessel. Are we willing to be used by God. Sometimes we are so busy chasing after money, carrier, and fame that we tend to forget the basics of why we are Christians. We are to surrender our whole lives to Jesus Christ and be willing to be used by Him.
Sometimes, He moves us. He relocates us. Sometimes our own plans may be delayed. But as we look upon the Lord, He is always holding unto us. May this Pentecost Sunday be a starting point for us to rededicate our lives to the Lord.
Let Him work his miraculous ways as we kneel and surrender our whole lives unto the Lord. The key is obedience. As we obey, even when we don’t understand it, there is always a blessing that will follow through.
It was 12 years ago when God called me to write for Him.I am still yet to complete the chapter. I always felt I am not good enough to complete them.I wanted to give up many times.But I caught a revelation today.The key is obedience.
As I obey, this Cloud follows me through.This Pastor obeyed the call,the cloud followed his through his family,his ministry and his town.Deep down in my heart, I know there is much more to go. Hearing this Pastor’s testimony reminded me of the importance of obedience and willingness.

Matthew chap 6: 33 (NIV) ; But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Today I was meditating upon this verse. I asked the Holy Spirit what it means to seek His Kingdom first. Whose Kingdom am I supposed to seek? Am I not doing enough already? I believe I am doing the basics of every Christian believer. I pray, fast, and spend time in fellowship. What else do I need to do to seek His Kingdom?
The Holy Spirit then reminded me to write a note today. ”Write it down what I want to tell you. This note will bless you and others reading it too.”
”The Kingdom of God refers to the Sovereignty of the Lord upon the earth. It relates to supreme power and authority. In other words, the Kingdom refers to GOD, His plans, His rules, and His majesty.
When Adam and Eve were placed in the garden of Eden centuries ago, God had a perfect plan for them. They were living in the realm of God’s Kingdom, but the moment they disobeyed, sin entered, and as a result, humans today live a life cut off from the Kingdom. There was a curse that took place at that moment. Principalities, the power of the darkness has captured the plans of humankind. Curse crawled in. It is a life cut off from God. Why did it happen? Simply because of disobedience. Therefore, humans need to sacrifice and suffer to experience this Kingdom again.
So, how can humans experience this Kingdom again? How can we experience this Kingdom of God again?
John chap 3: 16 (NIV); For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
God loved the world so much. Because He loves the world so much, He gave his son Jesus to save us. Every other religion is trying to reach God. But in Christianity, God sent Jesus down to earth. This is the most significant difference. Jesus was born through a virgin Mary, lived as a human, and performed miracles on earth before he died and was resurrected again. The moment Jesus was sent for us, God had a plan. His plan was for each of us to have eternal life. Many of us speak of eternal life, mainly after death. There is actually a bigger truth. This eternal life is a gift the Lord Jesus Christ gave to each of us today. That is why Jesus came for us. The Resurrection of Jesus is the biggest miracle on earth. Jesus has overcome the strongest curse on the earth, which is death.
The Kingdom of God refers to this gift of Eternal Life that God has given each of us today. It means each of us carries this supreme power of authority of God in us. The moment we confess the Lordship of Jesus Christ upon our lives, this gift is given freely given to us. It is a gift. We don’t struggle to make this gift work. There is no struggle needed. We don’t sacrifice for it. We just need to receive it. Eternal life cancels off generational debts. Generational curses since Adam’s time. It does not make sense to live in this curse after Jesus came and died on the cross for us, and He rose again.
Sadly, many Christians today try so hard as if we are trying to reach God. Instead of focussing on the ETERNAL GIFT OF GOD, welook back at our generational curses. We go back to looking at which generation the curse happened. I remember checking out my family tree when the Holy Spirit rebuked me. ”What am I even doing”?” The family tree doesn’t matter at all. The blood of Jesus has cleansed me.!”
This is the most significant manipulation and lies the devil has planted in many churches today. It is the biggest lie and stronghold the devil has captured humans. Let me tell you something, the curse happened a long time ago, in the time of Adam. It is high time we rise up and acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Once we realize there is divine power in this Kingdom, the curses crush automatically by grace.
The only way to cut off these generational curses is to turn our whole lives to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
Why did Jesus come? To give us this Kingdom. This Kingdom goes beyond the human systems of this world. This Kingdom has its own rules overriding this world’s methods.
Even if we read a few verses before Matthew chap 6, God reminded us not to worry. The Kingdom of this world makes everyone concerned about everything. We live as if we don’t have a living God. We try to control situations. We try to ensure we have enough sufficiency on our own. We ensure we have enough bank balances. We have enough backups for every situation. We make sure we have enough of everything. Dont we? Without realizing it, we are building treasures on earth. We forget that the Lordship of our lives belongs to Jesus Christ.
Matthew chap 6: 31 (NIV) So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
Although I can do the basics of a Christian believer, I tend to worry about many things. Especially certain situations in my life. I realize worry ness buries me at times. But as I wrote this note, I realized the Holy Spirit reminded me of the power of the Kingdom of God. There is the power of surrendering all these worries unto the Lord. I do not have to worry about everything happening in my life. Instead, I should learn to look to God. There is sincerely no point we pray, fast, and do everything we can, but the basic principle of the Kingdom, which is not to worry, has not been adhered to.
The more we look to God, the more this Kingdom of Heaven becomes real. The rule of this Kingdom will start working in our own lives. The key to experiencing His Kingdom, as we seek first His Kingdom, all other things shall be added unto our lives. These other things include divine health, wealth, blessings, protection, expansion, and his continuous blessings upon each detail of our life.
If you are someone here who is buried with tonnes of problems in life, try looking away from the issues. Don’t talk about the situation. Instead, focus on the Lord Jesus Christ. Acknowledge the gift of this eternal life. It gives power to anyone who believes in it. When there is power, there is the manifestation of it. As we approach one of the most importance weeks in the Christian Calendar, let us rededicate our lives to the Lord. Let us repent from all our worries and dedicate our lives to the Lord. Just remember this, God has a plan. Trust in His plan.
As Good Friday and Easter Sunday are approaching, let this season not be the same but let this season bring peace, love, and joy. This Kingdom of God is real and it is no joke.

Fast and pray for this one week and open the fast by Easter Sunday.
2. Take time to attend Good Friday Service and Easter Sunday. Try your best to participate as a family. Let us put away our personal agendas and attend together unitedly as a family. Stop judging which church to attend. Stop giving excuses. Take your annual leave and attend. Attend where the head of the family wants to attend, as long as it is a church. There is power in submission. Family is the most powerful cell unit in building the Christian faith family. Recognize the plans of evil. Take charge.
3. Focus on the supreme power of God. Sing praises out aloud.
4. Be expectant of the magnificent shift that will take place in your life.
5. Focus on the Kingdom. Not your problem. God knows your problems. Let Him take care of it. Do not complicate God.

I believe I am at a season of my life where I need to learn to surrender to the Lord 100%. When we talk about surrender, it doesn’t mean we give up, but it is just a way of telling God,” God, I back off. Take charge of my life.’
I am not sure about my readers out there, but I had some expectations I thought I would achieve, but I didn’t. I tried hard to change certain situations in life, but I couldn’t. I got so tired along the journey. I felt disappointed, discouraged, and frustrated.
I ask God, why did this happen. Why did certain things occur in my life where I cannot control them. Then I hear a silent whisper from the Holy Spirit,” I have been waiting for you to give in. Until and unless you choose to control your own life, I cannot come in.”
I believe the Holy Spirit was reminding me of the power of surrender. Many of us tend to try to control certain situations in our life. But when we come to the point of surrender, we give ourselves unto the Lord. When we give our whole life unto the Lord, transformation happens. Are you currently dealing with a specific situation in life? The best way to handle these challenges is to let God take them as he wants them.
Expecting to know Him personally and spending time with the Lord will change our lives.
James chap 4:8a (NIV). Come near to God, and he will come near to you…”
Are we drawing ourselves to God?
Many of us live as victims and not victors in Christ. I was also meditating on verse 1st Corinthians chap 6: 19-20; Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
As I was reflecting on the verse above, the Holy Spirit reminded me I am not my own anymore. He bought me an expensive price, the blood of His son Jesus. We are God’s masterpiece. He doesn’t want us to look down on ourselves.
Sometimes we need many reminders in our life. Our life does not belong to us. It belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ. When we live life acknowledging the Lordship of Jesus Christ, we no longer look down on ourselves anymore.No matter what the mess is; the Lord is faithful. He will lift us out of the situation.
Our confidence is not in our ability but in God’s ability which we received the moment we gave our lives to Jesus. Now, you have his ability because His power has been deposited in you.
Let God take charge of the next season in our life. Let us kneel down, humble ourselves and see God taking the lead. When we come to the point of surrender, we tell God, ”I give my Life unto you, O God. Clean my mess. Turn this mess into a message. I glorify you, O God.”
Say this today:”Abba, I surrender my whole life to you, Lord Jesus Christ.”-R.J.JOHN.

Ecclesiastes 3:11a : He has made everything beautiful in its time.

Are you someone here who has experienced delays in life?It can be a delay in any area of your life.It can be ambitions,dreams,family,promotion,marriage or even delayed prophecies.The list can go on and on.Everyone have a story of their own.But the good news is ,regardless of each other’s stories ,everything is beautiful in God’s perfect timing.
I was reflecting on the story of creation today,how God brings life to earth.Each of us we have a purpose in this life.This life that is given to us is God’s gift to us.Sometimes we try so hard to please God,try doing everything else to get God to answer our prayers,but today I realise this is not the right way.
In my personal life journey, I have decided to step back in this new season.I am done trying to achieve my own timing. I am done trying to get God to answer my own selfish prayers.
I have decided to step back and no longer follow my timeline, ambitions, and selfish desires in life.At the end of the day,He has a perfect timing.He has made everything beautiful in His timing.I have decided to learn to turn upon the Lord.
Mark chap 4 : 26-29 He also said, ”This is what the kingdom of God is like.A man scatters seed on the ground.Night and day,whether he sleeps or gets up,the seed sprouts and grows,though he does not know how.All by itself, the soil produces grain-first the stak,then the head,then the full kernel in the head.As soon as the grain is ripe,he puts the sickle to it because the harvest has come.”
I was meditating upon this verse and realised Jesus was using this seed parable as the Kingdom of God.The Kingdom of God is likened to a seed sprouting and growing, but he does not know how.All by itself, the soil produces grain.Once grain is ripe, he puts sickle to it because the harvest has come.This whole process of seed being scattered on the ground and to grow ,it requires process.There is a process where God has established.The seed cannot produce harvest without letting the grain ripe.The harvest only comes latter.
Many of us we do not like the process.We want the harvest as soon as possible; hence, the process is not God’s.We like short cuts. But in this parable,I realise God was reminding me one factor involved in this seed growing is time and the suitable soil.
Over time,the seed produces grain.Over time,we become matured in Christ.We do not need to struggle to make the seed grow.Instead,once we are planted in the suitable soil and follow the process,the seed automatically grows.No struggle required.Only grace.By grace the seed grows.By grace we grow.
I would like to encourage my readers today, regardless of how many years Christian you are, let us do a reflection and ask God today .Are we in the right soil? Are we planted in the right soil?Where is the new season God is leading us into?Are we ready to move into the new season?Are we prepared to lay down all our belief systems and restart from scratch again.Putting away everything we have been taught before and restarting our life all over again.
Go through the process of serving,reading the bible,starting the basics all over again.Are we ready to surrender upon the Lord?
The right soil will produce a healthy seed, and with time the seed will grow and give a harvest.This right soil can refer to a church.Are we planted in the right church for this season.The right soil can also refer to our own heart.Our hearts needs to be right with the Lord.We need to open our hearts once again.Once we are planted in the right soil,with time,everything becomes beautiful.There is a process that is ordained by God.As the Lord has reminded us,everything becomes beautiful in His time.
Let us surrender our lives to the Lord Jesus Christ and allow Him to lead us in this new season.I pray this new season will transform my readers and me.

I remember attending art class during my younger days. The tutor would ask me to paint anything I wanted, and I remember drawing and painting them. It was just pure imagination as I drew. At the end of the drawing, the tutor told me, this is a beautiful art. ”You have a far-sighted imaginary mind.” That was during my younger days. I did not realize the importance of the human mind. How far can it go?
In my medical school days, I remember studying the human brain. But very little information was given to our human mind. But as a practicing medical doctor, I realize the human mind plays a role in the overall well-being of a person.
I had a patient who came in for stage 4 breast cancer a few years ago. The specialists have decided that she wouldn’t live long and told me to inform her family members to let her go back home. But I realized this particular auntie was strong-minded. She refused to accept that she wouldn’t live long.
I did ask her if she was ok if I were to pray for her. She was a believer in Christ, and she gladly said yes. I prayed for her, asking the Lord Jesus Christ to heal her and, at the same time to give her a strong mind. She was discharged home, and I did not hear from her since then.
After 4 years, I met the same lady and was surprised to see her alive. She told me,” Dr, thank you for praying for me. I am still alive. I have decided to be alive to see my son get married. I was amazed by her strong willpower and mindset that she had.
This is one of the few testimonies that I have come across. I realize patient well-being generally does get better when they have the right mindset. If a patient is full of anxiety and fear, the patient responds slower to treatment, and eventually, the whole process becomes challenging.
I have realized the right mindset is vital for each patient I see. If a patient has accepted that they are sick, they will eventually become weaker as time goes on, and their overall condition will deteriorate sooner or later. Sadly in our healthcare setting, we don’t see many mind specialists. This is because the mind is one area with minimal scientific evidence. But actually, the mind plays a vital role. The mind is still explored today by various scientific evidence, but still, minimal information is known about the human mind. The best part is that science is still finding to explore the human mind, but the bible has already given us a heads-up on the importance of the mind centuries ago. But we Christians tend to overlook them.
Romans chap 12: 2 (NIV) Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by renewing your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.
The verse above states that we no longer conform to this world’s pattern. But transformed by the renewing of our minds. How do we renew our minds? By continue reading the Word of God. Listening to faith-filled words keeps the mind active. Many will quote me asking do you believe in positive thinking then and not faith?
Actually, to me personally, I believe this both comes together. You cannot say you have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you have a negative mindset. The Word of God records that without faith, it is impossible to please God. Without faith, it is impossible to please the Lord Jesus Christ. So basically, we are to believe something unseen. How do we see the unseen? What instrument is given by God to humans to see the unseen? The Human Mind. We can paint pictures in our minds.
So how do mind and faith correlates? For example, if a doctor has given a diagnosis saying you are unwell and you will deteriorate, you cant live longer. You can actually reject the diagnosis. How? By painting pictures in your mind that you are well and good. You can see yourself in your mind happy, well, and sound. It may not make sense, but trust me, you will see yourself improving as time progresses.
You may be going through a complicated financial situation today.No man can understand this situation. The people closest to us that we expect to help, they are unable to understand and give a helping hand. The mess gets messier and messier.It is time to paint pictures in your mind that you have financial freedom. Paint pictures in your mind that God is bringing you out of the financial struggle.
You may have a pending project to be completed. It is time to see the project completed by the grace of God. Paint pictures in your mind seeing the project is completed.
Remember the story of Abraham. Abraham is known to all of us as the Father of Faith. How did Abraham have children in his old age?
Genesis chap 15 :5 ( NIV) He took him outside and said, “Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.
I was meditating on this verse. I was thinking to myself. Can we actually count the stars? There are too many right. But God told Abraham to look. To see. Abraham was painting pictures in his mind. That is when I realize Faith and the Mind is a powerful tool to get us out of any situation we are in today.
The mind is a mighty instrument freely given to us humans. We can paint pictures of how we want to live in this world. If you want to be a success today, start painting pictures of who you want to become. Paint pictures in your mind. The devil also knows the mind is mighty to humans, so the devil will always want to attack the human mind.
1st Peter chap 5: 8 ( NIV) Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
The verse above reminds us to be alert and sober mind. How does the devil devour? Through the mind. When we understand the devil’s tactics, it is essential to step up. It is important to take care of our minds.
Imagine your mind as a garden. To ensure the garden grows healthily, it must be regularly watered. We must protect our minds from the devil’s tactics. How do we do this?
Regularly reading the Word and reciting bible verses. I remember my Sunday school days; my teachers always reminded me to remember bible verses. They knew and understood the devil’s tactics. Thank God for them. This should be an old culture that needs to be given emphasis by this current generation. Do not take this lightly. Take time to read the bible. Recite bible verses. For example, If are fearful, recite the verse ”Fear not for I am with you.”
Paint pictures in your mind.If you have a dream to do something beyond the ordinary.Paint pictures in your mind. You can even paste your dream in front of your table. Paint pictures in your mind of the life you want to live today. The human mind is powerful.
Listen and meditate on sermons. It is wise to listen to at least one sermon weekly from the right source. Meditate upon the sermons. It will be even better if you can move than one sermon. Remember, it is not just listening. It is different when we just listen and not study and meditate on them. It is better to study one sermon than listen to 101 sermons.
Stay healthy. Exercise regularly. Remember, the human mind is within the scope of the human brain. The brain is the organ of the mind, just as the lungs are the organs for respiration. Without the human brain, the unseen mind cannot function. Having suitable dietary fibers and regular exercise will help your brain to function well and the same time, protect your mind.
Choose the right environment. Walk away from people who are negative-minded. Plants and weeds cannot grow together. The weeds will affect the growth of the plants. Be bold to walk away from the wrong environment.
Decide to change: If you have been very negative-minded for all these years, It is still not too late. Enough is enough. Enough of opening these doors for the devil to sprawl in. Shut any open door. If you are in any impossible situation today, I would like to pray for you. As I pray for you, paint pictures in your mind that you are totally out of the situation.
Have a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is a miracle-working God. If you are yet to see a miracle, do not give up. Continue having faith and paint pictures. He has a mega plan. He is never early, never late, He is right on time. Take time to pray. Talk to the Lord. Set apart time to seek HIM. Whatever battle you are going through is between you and God. You don’t need men’s approval or men’s self-pity. This God that you believe in sees you through. He is a miracle-working God. Humans may fail us. But God would not and cannot fail us. Try Him yourself.

I was listening to the lyrics of this song as I was driving today. I was so blessed and moved to write a note entitled God is in My Story.
This song reminded me we have a God who cares about the details of our life story. Each of us we have our own journey of faith with the Lord, and I would like to encourage my readers today to not give up. Do not give up on the Lord Jesus Christ.
You may be going through a very challenging period in your life today, but I would like to encourage you all to remain faithful. You may be fearful. Fearful of what and how things may unfold in the future. Do you sometimes feel you are drowning or buried in a pit? I have good news for you today.
Isaiah chap 41: 10 (NIV) So do not fear,for I am with you;do not be dismayed,for I am your God.I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Dear readers, this God is real. This Lord Jesus Christ is real. Even when we don’t understand His plans, this Lord is real. If you are someone here who is struggling and you feel buried in this mountain of problems, I have good news. This Lord Jesus Christ will uphold you with his righteous right hand. You cannot save yourself. Your loved ones cannot save you. But my Lord Jesus Christ can!
You may be at the very lowest point in your life today, but I want to remind you God is in your story. This story hasn’t come to an end yet. This story has chapters.
If your chapter is currently stuck, stagnant, you feel drowned and buried, and you may not see a way out of your solution, I would like to encourage my readers today; this is not the ending of your story. God will raise you to another new level in your life.
The Bible is real. This Word of God is real. This Lord Jesus Christ is real friends.
It is not just a historical book that we are reading. It has power. This Word of God that we spend reading daily has the power to defile the work of the enemy. Do not lose hope!
John chap 1: 1 (NIV) In the beginning was the Word,the Word was with God and the Word is God.
Are you someone here who is going through a huge financial challenge in your life? Do you, at times, feel giants are coming after you? You are struggling to make things meet. Be at peace with the Lord. God is in your story.
Are you someone here who has received a bad medical report from the doctors today? Be strengthened. God is in your story.
Are you someone who is broken and you are facing difficulties sleeping at night? Be at rest. God is in your story.
Are you someone here feeling alone, and deep down in your heart, you are hurt in your soul? Be loved. God is in your story.
Do not give up on the Lord Jesus Christ. Even if things are not going according to your plans, do not give up on the Lord. Continue putting your focus and gaze upon the Lord.
Be encouraged. In 2023 you will experience His supernatural provision and restoration, and you will be lifted to a new level of faith. Supernatural means it is not natural. It will not be the usual everyday way things are done. Something not explained by human logic. That is called supernatural.
Jesus died and rose again. This is supernatural.
Sometimes we have to take a step back. Let God do it.
Trust Him like never before. He will raise you up with His mighty hand. He will pull you out of your pit! You will never feel buried anymore, says the Lord!

Hello everyone! I would like to share with everyone that we have a gracious God.
You may be in a very challenging situation today, but I would like to encourage my readers today that we have a gracious God. I have come to a point in my life where I realize that many humans fail us, but God would not and cannot fail us.
Romans chap 8: 28 (NIV); And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him who have been called according to his purpose.
I would like to encourage my readers that no matter how complex your situation is, you are in God’s perfect purpose. This verse reminds us that we have been called according to his purpose. You may not see a logical solution out of your current situation, and you may have tried approaching and trying many ways to free yourself from your case, but you realize it is to no avail. You try so hard, yet you still don’t see a result.
The Holy Spirit reminded me today to reach out to my readers who are going through a very challenging life. Whatever your situation is, God is a gracious God. In this new year, God wants you to experience His love like never before. If you are living a life of struggle and tears today, I would like to remind my readers this is not a life from God.
Everything that has happened in your life is God’s perfect plan for your future. Your life today may not be what you expected it to be, but rest assured that God’s plan will prevail, and His plan is always good, to give you a future and hope. Be rest assured that your life belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Many Christians are in a difficult situation today and may be trying their best to get a miracle. Many are hoping for God to do something for them. But instead of the problem getting solved, the challenges get more extensive and beyond human comprehension. They try to attend church, maximize their time in ministry, and do all they can to get God’s attention. We want God to do something for us. We try all sorts of ways. From prophet to prophet, from church to church, we are trying to get God to answer our prayers. We are trying to fight the devil who caused this challenging situation. We get tired, demotivated, and wonder what God’s plan is. If you are here today and have tried all ways to get God’s attention to solve your matter, I think it is high time you take a break. Take a break from trying to get God’s attention. You don’t need to get God’s attention. You already have God’s attention the moment you are born.
He knows your situation. He knows your challenges. The good news is, whatever mess you are in today, it will turn into a message. Do you know why? Because God is a gracious God. Do not live a life of struggle. Do not live a life dependent on ministers. Instead, look to God.
God knows the solution to your situation today. Therefore to solve the situation, let’s seek God. Not trying to get God to solve the problem, but let’s shift our focus to knowing who this God is first. How do we do this? Let me share with you all a simple story of David and Goliath.
David and Goliath is a famous bible story with deep meaning for each of us. This story reminds us how we see and perceive the current situation will change the course of direction of a specific challenge in life.
One day, the nation of Israel was called to fight the Philistine army that had gathered for war. A great Philistine giant named Goliath, standing over nine feet tall came to the front of the Philistine battle line for forty days and mocked the Israelites and their God. Goliath called them to fight, but King Saul and the Israelites were scared and did nothing. Instead, a small shepherd boy name David offered to defeat Goliath. Goliath laughed at David, but David responded that even though Goliath had a sword and spear, he came in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel.
When I was reading this bible story, the Holy Spirit reminded me that everyone else saw Goliath as a giant, and they tried all humanly logical ways to defeat the giant. They got the armies ready to defeat Goliath. But nothing worked. Instead, David asked God, and a straightforward solution was needed. Just rocks and slings to defeat Goliath. David didn’t even ask for counsel from any army or any human. David didn’t even need to ask for any weapon from outside. He had it in him. Being a small boy at that time, this sling and rock would have been something he had that he played casually with it.
I realize David saw Goliath differently. David didn’t see Goliath the way others in the nation saw Goliath. Others saw Goliath as a huge big Giant. A big problem. But to David, it was a small matter as he sought the Lord for a solution to defeat Goliath. The answer was within him. He didn’t see himself as a small boy, although the Bible records that he is a small shepherd boy. He saw something beyond the ordinary.
What does this bible story teach us? Whatever Goliath you are facing today, it is important how you see your Goliath. Is it a challenging project you are working on? Does it sound so impossible to complete within a short time frame? Is it a health condition where doctors are unable to give a solution? Is it a huge financial crisis? Is it a marriage/relationship issue? Whatever your Giant is, stop looking to men for help. Start shifting your focus to God.
Whatever your Giant is today, trust me, from today onwards, see this Giant differently. For our Lord Almighty, who is so big and magnificent, this Giant you are facing is very small. Start looking at it as a small matter. Take this Giant as an opportunity for God to do the miraculous. This is the first step you take. The good news is this. This current challenging problem has an expiry date.
Whatever Goliath you are facing today, do not be overwhelmed. God knows the solution. You need to seek God and ask God for wisdom. He will give you the rocks and sling to defeat your Goliath. He will give you the right strategy. In your quiet time, don’t get God to solve the situation.
Instead, this year, let our prayer life change. Let our prayer life be shifted and be focused on wanting to know who this God is. As we read and soak ourselves more in the presence of God, let this God we know defeat Goliath. If you are someone here who tried every logical way to defeat a current Goliath in your life, high time to take a step back. Focus more on developing your own self. Read the Bible more. Listen to more worship songs.
Humans cannot do it. But my Lord Jesus Christ is able to.
Say this today: My God is gracious. The Giant in my life is defeated in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.-R.J.JOHN

Start doing one thing you are good at. Invest time in it.
It is a new year. If you are here reading my note today, I would like to encourage my readers to start doing what God has told you to do. Yes, enough is enough. Enough of past distractions, past discouragement, and past disappointments.
Deep down in your heart, if you are someone here who knows deep inside your heart, you have received a mandate from the Lord, and it may seem difficult to complete the assignment. I have good news for you. 2023 is a year for you to fulfill the mandate given to you.
Jeremiah chap 29: 11 (NIV); “For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
God promises each of us that he plans to prosper us. The devil always wants to steal this future from us. How does He do it? By telling us lies. If we believe the lie, we fall into the devil’s plan. If we look back at the creation story, the devil lied to Eve. Saying she will be like God if she eats it. The devil always wants us to disobey God’s perfect plan.
Genesis chap 3: 5 (NIV) ”For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.
Eve was tempted, heard what the devil said, believed, and fell into temptation. The creation story has deep meaning to it to remind us God is real, and so the devil is real too. Therefore we must always be alert and know who God is and who is the source of lies.
There is always an open door if the devil wants to try to invade our lives. Like Eve, she allowed herself to listen to the serpent and believed what the serpent said instead of what God said. This is the open door that Eve allowed herself.
Likewise, in our everyday journey with the Lord, it is always wise to identify what is our open door for the devil.
1st Peter chap 5 : 8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
If we meditate on the verse above, the verse reminds us to have a sober mind. It always starts with the mind. The devil prowls like a lion to devour someone. How does the devil devour someone? The mind. That is why this verse reminds us to have a sober mind. Once the devil has trapped us in the mindset, it is an open door for the devil.
The devil’s goal is to trap us in bondage and strongholds. Once he has won this by trapping us in lies, we will live a life of struggle. We will live a life fighting this spiritual bondage and battles, which have sucked out most of our time, energy, and finances; some could even be their health. So how do we resist the devil?
James chap 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
The book of James tells us to resist the devil, and he will flee from us. How do we fight the devil?
First, we submit ourselves to God. We must acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus Christ in our lives. We must continue confessing and acknowledging the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
Second. How do we resist? We push away. We push away every single lie from the devil. The devil will plant all kinds of mindsets and strongholds in our lives. The mind is vital to human beings, and the devil knows it. Therefore the devil will try to trap humans in this mind game. It is also very dangerous if we fall into this mind trap. The devil will take advantage and manipulate the whole situation. Remember, God is real, and the devil is real too.
E.g., ” You will forever be sick because there is a demon with you.” ” You will forever suffer because the devil controls your lives.
” You are cursed because your generations are cursed.”
”You are poor because the devil controls your lives.”
”You will never achieve your destiny.”
”Your life is meant to suffer’’ etc etc.
So this thought system and thought pattern are built in a person. With that subconscious mindset, we create a stronghold. Past struggles and disappointments in life have trapped a person. True enough, this has opened an open door in the devil’s spiritual realm to invade a person’s life. Remember the creation story? The serpent told Eve. Eve believed it, and then she fell into sin.
Once a person has believed the devil, it is like a trap. It is like a chain that locks that person up.This is simply because, over the years, we have been listening to the devil’s lies. We have acknowledge what the serpent, the devil said, and it completely controls our lives. Unknowingly we have given the power to the devil to control our lives.
So how do we resist? We resist whatever it is from the devil. Resist this demon. Reject him with the authority you and I have. Continue doing it till you see results.Don’t give up.
Jesus Christ is the Lord of our lives. Just imagine yourself at the dining table about to have your dinner. If you don’t like something, what do you do? You resist it. You throw it away. This is because you don’t like the taste of the food. You don’t repeat what the food is. You won’t go looking for the same food again. You throw it away. Likewise, stop emphasizing what the devil can do. Stop looking for the devil who has messed up your past life. Refuse to believe in that lie. Believe what the Word says.
Romans 8:28, NIV: And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Emphasize what the Lord Jesus Christ can do. He is the God of miracles. He is not dead. He is alive. Continue believing and expecting miracles. Expect a massive shift in your life.
I also believe another way to resist is just to do what God told you to do. Do you have the mandate to be fulfilled? Just focus entirely on what He has told you to do. Even though there are many distractions, the best is to ignore them. Let God take care of the distractions. Obeying the call will allow God to do significant wonders in our lives. Sometimes, we cannot do things in our logical, practical ways. It is only God that can intervene. That is why we need God.
Let us start the year right. Having the right atmosphere of faith will decide the rest of the days this year and the next decade of your life.
You are precious to Jesus. If you were not loved, you would have been washed out of your mother’s womb for a long time. God has a plan for you. Trust the plan. Trust the process. Stay close to Jesus and stop giving power to the devil to invade your life. Enough is enough. Stand up firm and resist the devil entirely from your life. This year you will come out victoriously and you will see the manifestation of the realities of the Kingdom of God in your life.

Application:
1)Start the year right. Refuse to allow any harmful lies from the devil.
2)Memorise as many bible verses as possible. Repeat it daily.
3)Spend time with the Lord in your quiet time. If you speak in tongues, spend time speaking in tongues, at least a minimum of 1 hour.
4)Start the year by singing and praising God. Acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
I was meditating on the book of Jeremiah today. Let us read the passage together.
Jeremiah chap 1: 4-9
4The word of the Lord came to me, saying,
5“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
6 “Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.”
7 But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. 8 Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.
9Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth. 10 See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, destroy and overthrow, build and plant.
As I reflected on this passage, I realized The Lord had appointed Jeremiah as the prophet of the nations since he was in the womb. He already had a divine appointment for Jeremiah. When the Lord called Jeremiah, He called him as a youth. Jeremiah was not confident as he was young and didn’t know how to speak.
But the Lord reminded him not to focus on his weakness which is young and doesn’t know how to speak, but instead, he must go to everyone that the Lord sends him to. The Lord will help him communicate. The Lord promised Jeremiah to put His words in His mouth.
Jeremiah was a man called to be a prophet to deliver God’s message to Judah (before, during, and after its fall to Babylon in 586 B.C.). These prophecies included messages of warning and hope. Many of Jeremiah’s prophecies are yet to be fulfilled in the end times.
Like Jeremiah, I believe every one of us is called to fulfill God’s purpose and destiny in our lives. Jeremiah was set apart to be a prophet to the nations. We are all set apart to fulfill the Lord’s destiny in our lives.
Jeremiah said Yes to God. Even though God called him when he was a youth, he wasn’t confident to speak; the Lord promised to speak for him. Jeremiah’s ministry began in the 13th year of King Josiah and continued during the last five kings of Judah—a period of about 40 years.
I believe it is important to say Yes to God despite our challenges. Life may not be what you expected at 30 or 40, or 50 but I would like to encourage my readers today to say Yes to God.
If deep down in your heart, you know and know you have been called to do something for the Lord, even if you are a lone ranger today, do not give up. Do not lose heart. Saying Yes to God means actually looking ahead of our abilities and capabilities.
Jeremiah didn’t know how to speak. But by saying Yes to God, the Lord equipped him to speak. Likewise, what has God called you to do?
Saying Yes to God means taking time off to do what He has told you to do. Even though the project, ministry, or work may seem impossible to achieve, do not fret. There is a process. Trust the process.
Look to God. God only wants us to say YES to Him. The rest He will take care of. Like Jeremiah, if He doesn’t make an effort to speak, how would God help him to speak? Remember, saying Yes to God means taking up the mantle and doing something about it.
If God has called you to write for him, continue writing for him. Regardless if there is any publication out of it.
If God has called you to finance the Kingdom, continue sowing, even if it is a small amount.
If God has called you to make intercession for people, pray, and let God do the wonders.
If God has called you an influencer in the marketplace, start making changes anywhere you are right now.
Many times, we want instant miracles. Because we want instant miracles, we don’t do what God says. Instead, we go around a merry-go-round. Without realizing it,10-15 years may pass, and when we look back, we wonder what we did during those years. Do not fret. It is still not too late. Trust the process. Just say Yes to God. Let God do wonders. Let God be God.
There is power when we say Yes to God. We will be witnesses for Jesus Christ.
Acts chap 1:8( NIV)
8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
There is supernatural power when we say Yes to God. It is beyond natural realms. That is the only way to be His witness in Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria and to the ends of the earth. There is this divine power that would be given unto you.

Prayer for today: “Abba Father, I thank you, Lord, that I can say Yes to you, Lord. I praise you, God, for molding my readers and me into your perfect plan. Thank you, Lord, for equipping us to reach our destiny.” Amen
Application
Take time off to do what He has called you to do. It can be your ministry, work, or project. Invest time in it.
Stop going against God’s plan. Stop trying to figure things out alone. Trust God. Know the reality of God in you. With God in you, nothing is impossible. The vision in you is yet to come to pass soonest.
I believe as a Christian, it is essential to trust the Lord Jesus Christ. We often don’t listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Are you someone here who is depressed over certain situations in life? Do you feel distant from the Lord today?
Are you someone here who is trying to seek God for your will in your life today? Maybe doctors have given you a diagnosis where there is no human cure. Perhaps you are living a frustrated life inside you. You are sad and depressed. Maybe there is no logical solution to your current situation you are facing today.No matter what your case may be today; I would like to encourage my readers to trust the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ died on the cross; the most significant exchange occurred through death and resurrection. He has taken the place of our sins. This is the Divine Exchange.
Let us look back at the history of creation.
Genesis chap 2: 7 (NIV) And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being.
This verse clearly shows us a man is just beyond the dust of the ground. A breath of life is breathed into the nostrils, and only then does the man become a living being. After man became a living being, instruction was given to him.
Genesis chap 2: 17b (NIV) but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day you eat of it, you shall surely die.”
This verse clearly shows that God says there will die if they were to eat the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. But physically, they did not die. So what happened? When Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit, there was a separation that took place at that moment. It was spiritual death. It was a life cut off from God. The moment they ate the fruit, that is when sin entered the world. Humans became humans. They see the world differently. They could see themselves naked.No more the original plan of where the world is created beautifully. This is how sin entered the world through generations. Debts, poverty, anger, sickness, murder, evil, and corruption entered the world. Just like how Satan manipulated Eve to eat the fruit, he still does it to this day. Like how Eve blamed Satan for eating the fruit, generations still blame the devil for every single problem. The root cause of every problem in the world is the devil’s lies and manipulation. But that doesn’t mean we must always blame the devil for every situation. Like Eve who blamed Satan, we still do it to this very day. There is nothing wrong with it. I believe it is essential to know the root cause of the problem. But dwelling on it and rehearsing it is not wise.
The Bible says, Colossians chap 1: 13 (NIV) He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the Kingdom of the Son of His love .
When I was reading this verse,I realized something. The word delivered is past tense.He has delivered us from Kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light. He is not delivering.He has already delivered. This is our most significant promise, knowing we are not to live a life asking for deliverance every single time. God has delivered ,we acknowledge and take practical steps according to the Word of God to resist them. In the original story of creation, there is no plan for evil. But the Scriptures have reminded us there is darkness over the Earth. For God to bring Light to the Earth, He blessed the Earth. If you are going through a specific challenge in your life today, you must understand that Satan is the root cause, and there is an opening where sin has managed to be passed on through generations. There is a darkness there. So what do we do?
We must learn to bless our lives and the people around us. Like God blessed the Earth, we must learn to change our confessions to praise. If you are someone here who has been cursing your loved ones ignorantly, remember it is an opening for the devil to be manipulative, and you are giving him legal access to play around with your life. a. Genesis chap 1:2 (NIV) The Earth was without form and void, and darkness was on the face of the deep. Here we see in the history of creation there is darkness. How did God overcome the darkness? He spoke words. He blessed it saying; Genesis chap 1 : 3 (NIV)” Then God said, ” Let there be Light and there was Light.”
We must rebuke the devil. Resist the devil, and He will flee.
We must understand the mischiefs of the devil. He constantly manipulates like how he influenced Eve. So we must be aware of these and take charge of our situation. We must take control of the current situation in our life. Trust the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour. You can never be defeated in life.
Spend time with the Lord. The more time we spend with the Holy Spirit and the presence of the Lord, there is no room for manipulation from the devil.
Spend time studying the Word of God. Understand the character of the Lord Jesus Christ. He always wants to save us.
Get rooted in a Spirit-filled church. Stop judging the Pastors or elders of the church on how they dress, how they worship, or how they handle the church’s finances. Stop judging which church is better than another church. Your focus must be on the Word of God alone only. Listen to the instruction of the Holy Spirit. Obey and get rooted in a church.
Take charge of your family. The devil always tries to make its way by affecting the family unit. Like how the devil manipulated Eve and Eve convinced Adam, the family was involved, and sin entered the world. If you notice the mischiefs of the devil, take charge of your family.Take time for family prayer.Family worship at home is vital.
Spend time in speaking in tongues.Spend time talking to the Holy Spirit.If you are someone who has been speaking in tongues 5 minutes a day,increase it to 15 minutes a day, and gradually increase it to 1 to 2 hours a day.The more even the better. We must understand that the moment we accept the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour, satan has been defeated.This is the only reason Jesus came into the world by taking away our sins.This is the Gospel. If we are to repeat our sins and go back to our old way of living our life,we can never experience his grace upon our life.We will live a life cut off from God.This live allows sin to dominate our life.We would live a frustrated life,giving room to the devil to play around with our loved ones. Take charge.Do not give any room to the devil. Whatever the situation you are in today, trust the Lord Jesus Christ. He is your victory. The challenge that is haunting your life for years,is coming to an end.The time is sooner that you expected. Take practical steps towards it. Most importantly, the grace of God is sufficient. His grace is beyond human imagination. Say this today : I thank you Lord for the Holy Spirit-Amen Prayer for today: “Abba, I give you the glory that you are the Lord of my life. You are the Lord of my family.I rebuke every form of satanic thought or manipulation of my life and my family’s life. I thank you, Lord I live a victorious life for your glory alone. Let my Light shine for your glory.Let this Light shine forth to every generation .” Amen.
