My Graduation Ceremony

Last weekend, 19th April 2025, was the most life-changing event in my life. I never planned towards it, but the Lord directed me to take a massive step of faith. It was also Easter Weekend, when the whole world was celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

I was brought up in a traditional Christian Home. We emphasized church attendance and the upbringing of the Christian faith. I also underwent infant baptism when I was a child, and it was full immersion. I am always grateful for the foundation I have received. Today, I was moved to share my salvation story with you.

I was 21 years old then. During my studies in Moscow, I came to know Jesus as my personal Savior. That was about 20 years ago. I just knew Christianity is beyond religion. It was the Life of God in us. I grew up learning the Lord, and things unfolded quickly after that. I received the gift of tongues. I was actively involved in ministry and became a cell leader. Soon after, I became a zone leader. I was very much involved in medical missions during that time. God told me to write a book. I needed a vision and divine visitation before I started.

God gave me the courage to publish my first book in 2014, and I was excited for the Lord. But at the same time, I battled a lot with my emotions and insecurity. Disappointments set in. I felt discouraged when I did not continue what the Lord told me to do. I struggled to continue doing what the Lord told me to do.

I didn’t know who would support me in this writing journey, and I felt inferior and intimidated. I was afraid. But one thing I did since then is that I never neglected to write notes on my website. I felt I was writing for the Lord, even if nobody read it. So, it kept me going.

Fast forward, it is already 2025 now. I decided to follow a strict 50-day Lent Season for the Easter Celebration. I also decided to become a vegetarian during the lent season. Besides that, I also decided to assign a certain time for worship and prayer. I will serve in my home church in the capacity I can. At the end of 50 days, I never expected to do something beyond my imagination.

A few days before the Lent Season ended, I attended a regular cell group meeting where the topic of discussion was water baptism. As the senior leader spoke clearly about the importance of baptism, I distinctly heard a voice within me say, “You should do it, RJ.”

I was arguing with my Spirit and Mind at first. I wondered why I should, since I have done an infant baptism. But the voice in me was so strong that I knew I had to obey it. My pastor at the church I am presently attending made us clearly understand the importance of public adult baptism. It is where we make the choice ourselves. Out of obedience, I decided to take the step of faith.

I signed up for the baptism class out of obedience. I managed to be baptized in a church I have been attending lately. It dawned on me,” You are baptizing into Christ and not baptized into the church.”Sometimes I realize I just complicate unnecessary matters.

When I went for baptism, I felt it was a different ballgame altogether. I felt like I attended a graduation ceremony. I felt a sense of freedom when I went under the water. I decided to leave my anxiety there. I also left my fear of man, doubt, anger, pride, bitterness, and past under the water. I made up my mind to leave it there.

When I rose back above the water, this verse came deep into my Spirit :

Acts chap 1: 8

8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

There was an unexplainable excitement within me. I believe it is the Joy of the Lord. I felt I had graduated into my next phase of my life.

I decided I must pen down this journey. One day in the future, I will look back. I will always be reminded of what took place in April 2025.

Jesus’ public ministry started after his baptism. I look forward to how God will use me in my work, ministry, and family. I told the Holy Spirit today, ”Use me for your Kingdom. I am sincerely fed up with the past. I have left my past under the water. You know me best. Lead me through.”

2nd Corinthians chap 5 :17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:The old has gone, the new is here!

I thank God for this experience.I thank God for this supernatural reality. The Lord has taken me from the past. He is bringing me into the future.

”Scales to drop”

Someone was telling me today.”RJ, only you know what to do to solve this matter.”

Haiz, I walked out of the conversation, trying to tell the person. ”I sincerely don’t know what else to do.”

It is a serious battle; only God knows what I am going through.

As I was driving back, I was just led to go into a coffee shop and write. I just knew my safe spot was writing to the Lord. I knew it was through writing that the Lord speakes to me. I knew writing for me was my spiritual warfare. I always knew writing was my spiritual weapon. I wanted to hear Him speak to me today.

Suddenly, this voice came to me,’ ‘Scales to drop.”

What scales, Holy Spirit?

What I must do. ” Everyone keeps asking me to solve the matter. But I sincerely don’t know what else to do.”

Whenever we speak on scales, I don’t know about you. Somehow, my mind was directed to the scales on the fish. I was just directed to read more about the scales of fish as I was writing this note today.

Not all fish have scales. Scales often develop later in a fish’s life. They grow from the skin and protect against predators, disease, and habitat. They also serve as camouflage. Some mirror-like scales even give the illusion of invisibility. They achieve this by catching the light when it hits the water and then scattering the reflection in multiple directions. Fish don’t shed their scales as part of their growth. Thus, their scales grow with them, and pertinent information is documented along the way.

Then, what the Holy Spirit was trying to tell me dawned on me. Scales collect information along the way . Fishes don’t shed their scales. But to eat the fish, you must remove these scales. This removal is vital, preventing unpleasantness and eliminating a choking hazard.

Likewise, many of us may have these scales on us, too. Life circumstances and challenges have formed certain scales in our eyes and minds. These scales make us spiritually blinded to the things of the world. These scales have molded how we perceive situations in life as well. These scales have also affected how we treat our spouses. They affect our relationships with our parents, siblings, church members, and anyone in our contact circle.

For example, you are facing a challenge in your life. It requires high pressure to handle situations. How you react to certain situations can result from the scales built in us. This happens during the years of growing up. Bitterness, unforgiveness, repetitive situations in life, or anger have built scales on us without us realizing it.

The scale forms on us without our awareness. It results from situations and challenges that have occurred over the years. This formation influences how we react to certain situations in life.

So, as I mentioned earlier. These scales must be removed to move to the next phase in life. Come, let us look together in the Bible. What does the Bible say about scales to drop? It is a story of Saul converting into Paul.

Acts chap 9 : 17 &18 ( NIV) Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18 Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized,

This passage in the book of Acts clearly speaks to us about the transformative power of faith. It also highlights the divine intervention of the Lord. The chapter showcases Ananias, a disciple in Damascus who is obedient to minister to Saul. He was fearful in the beginning, but he obeyed.

Just as Saul underwent a powerful transformation, we, too, can be renewed through Christ. No past is too broken or dark for God’s light to reach and redeem.

Reflecting back on today’s note today. Most oftentimes, we expect another person to drop off their scales. I would like to encourage each of my readers today. Please meditate on today’s note. Ask the Holy Spirit to remove the scales from our own eyes first. If you feel there are no scales on you, it is spiritual pride. This pride has built up over the years. It can be dangerous if there is something or a repetitive situation keeps taking place in your life. It is time to take your stand. These scales have been built over the years as we grew up. Come before the Lord renewed and ask the Lord to remove these scales.

Or you may have a loved one. Deep down in your spirit, you know they have strong scales. This scales has blinded the way they perceive situations in life. They behave like the whole world is against them. Just submit the person unto the Lord. But before doing that, ask the Lord to remove your scales first, and the Lord will lead.

Or maybe you are an Ananias today. The Lord is calling you to minister to a person. He also calls you to minister to a certain group or even to a generation. If He has called you to do it, do not let anyone or anything stop you from being that person. Remove distractions along the way.

Spiritual blindness is the biggest blindness one can have in today’s world. Everyone wants to prove their point is correct. The person can pray for hours in tongues or spend hours in churches. But, when real situations or challenges occur, how they react to certain situations showcases the real person. You can spot them easily. Manipulative spirit behind a loved one especially. Identifying them and rebuking the spirit behind your loved one is important.

If you know someone struggling in one way or another, take some time to pray for that person. Deep down in your heart, you know these are scales built over the years. So, they are blinded to life, like how Ananias was sent to Saul for him to become Paul. He will do the same transformative power for your loved one as well.

Being aware of the works of the enemy is important. Always ask the Lord for wisdom on how we should react to certain situations in life.

Ephesians (NIV) chap 6 : 12-13 ” For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.’‘

My dad told me today,”God will intervene RJ.”I took it as a prophetic word in my life.

I guess it’s time to move ahead and do what is needed. As I ended today’s note, I clearly heard the Holy Spirit speaking to me.

”Do not let anything cloud your mind. Scales has dropped RJ.” It is time for the next season. Thank God for it. You know what to do. Be excited for the next phase of your life.”

I guess it is no turning back. I am not waiting for the scales to drop. The scales have dropped! Hallelujah. Praise God.

Say this today : ”I thank you, Lord, for my scales have dropped.” R.J.JOHN

Prayer for today: ”Abba Father, I thank you, Lord, for today. I praise you Lord you are supernatural in every area of my life. I thank you Lord for everything. I surrender my life into your hands. I thank you Lord you have revealed to me the scales and removed the scales from my eyes today. I praise you, Lord. I also thank you for my readers. There is a supernatural transformative power in their lives. Whatever scales or spiritual blindness they have experienced, I thank God it has dropped. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.

Application:

  1. Next week is Easter. Take these few days towards Easter to consecrate your life to the Lord. Open your hearts and minds to hear from the Lord. Do not focus on your problems in life. Enough is enough. Focus on the Word of God.
  2. If you speak in tongues, spend at least one hour daily. If you don’t speak in tongues, I encourage you to read Psalms or just say praises an hour a day. We are preparing ourselves for Easter. Be expectant.
  3. Have morning or evening prayer walks. It will change your life . Trust me in this.

Elevation

Proverbs 3:5-6 (New International Version):”Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

A few weeks ago, I had just completed a huge project that had been due for some time. I had been delaying the submission for some time. However, I realized something important when I finally submitted the project. I could not have reached this level without God from the very beginning. I was so grateful for the Goodness of God in my life despite my weakness in many areas.

Dear readers, do you sometimes realize you are suddenly in a position where grace and favor follow you through? You can’t stop them. This is a season of elevation.

Many times, I wanted to give up this particular project. I did not think I would be capable of finishing it. Today, I realize that the Lord was there. He guided me through despite my weakness.

I was just moved to dedicate today’s note unto the Lord to thank the Lord.

”Thank you Lord for just being there for me.Guiding my footsteps and leading me through. The journey has been very tiring but fulfilling,” R.J.JOHN

When I thought I had finished one phase of my journey, the Holy Spirit rekindled some silent dreams. These dreams were awakened within my Spirit. I felt that new dreams were awakening. I just knew deep within me that a new phase was starting. I was afraid I was not capable of doing it. But the Holy Spirit reminded me He will be there. He will guide me through.

I just wanted to pen down my conversation with the Holy Spirit in today’s note.

Holy Spirit: ”RJ, you are ready for the next phase of your life. You know what you need to do. It is time. It is time for elevation.”

RJ( myself): ”Deep down in my Spirit, I am doubtful, Lord. I am afraid. But since you have said I am ready, I want to be obedient. Yes, I have delayed too long. It is time. ”

Holy Spirit: ”Do not fear. It is time. I will lead you. There will be doors of opportunities opened for you. You can’t stop them. Opportunities will find you. Do not be distracted. As you build my House and my people, I will go before you and your family.”

It was something very deep. It was a mandate given to me many years ago. But I have delayed it because I have 101 reasons and excuses. But indeed, the Lord did not give up on me. I have asked him many times.

”Why me, Lord. I am not capable of completing them.”-RJ

But I guess the Lord works differently. He is so patient with me.

Today, I was just moved to dedicate my life to the Lord. I want to yield myself unto Him. I just know the Lord is there for me. Decided to be obedient to the call.

The word elevation came to my Spirit. Tried to create an image that I imagined in my Spirit. The picture below explains a girl jumping over and elevating herself without support. It is pure faith. With that faith, she crosses over. She is bold and courageous. She is focused and determined to do what the Lord has told her.

Looking back at my life, I have realized His grace was enough. I want to put my past behind me and move ahead. Taking this new mandate given to me.

To all my readers, I would like to share the good news with you. Like the girl above, be the person who can take whatever it is to do what is needed. That includes coming out of your comfort zone. The Holy Spirit is with you. If you embark on a new journey or rekindle some past dreams, the Lord is with you. Be focused and determined. Do not be distracted. The Lord will guide . Opportunities will find you.

My Redeemer Lives

Lately, the Holy Spirit has been reminding me I have a Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ himself. Most often, we overlook how significant the word Redeemer is.

You may be going through a difficult situation right now. Only you and God know what exactly your situation is. The good news is, no matter how broken a problem is, Your Redeemer Lives.

John 3:16 (NIV) 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life

I grew up memorizing this bible verse from a very young age during my school days. I will always be grateful for the foundation that I have received. But I never really caught the revelation till my mid-twenties. The verse clearly says how much God loved the world. Because He loved the world, He gave his one and only Son.

Why must God give His one and only Son?

God “gave” his son Jesus as a sacrifice to redeem humanity from sin, demonstrating the ultimate act of love by sending Jesus to Earth to die on the cross, thereby providing a path to forgiveness and eternal life for those who believe in him; essentially, Jesus’ sacrifice atoned for the sins of mankind, allowing reconciliation with God.

The primary nature that separates us from God is our sinful nature. The Lord knew this, and He knew the only way to save humankind back was to send his son, Jesus. By sending his son Jesus to die for our sins, God is working to restore the radiance of his own glory shining in and through us. The apostle John expresses this reality effectively. He writes: “See what kind of love the Father has given to us. We should be called children of God, and so we are.”

When we look through the pages of the Old Testament, we see God created the World. He gave humankind Adam and Eve to be in charge of the world. But sadly, sin came into the picture, and since then, humanity has been separated from God.

Genesis 3:7 (NIV) says, ” Then both eyes were opened, and they knew they were naked.”

This verse reminds us  Adam and Eve knew they were separated from God after they sinned. They became aware of sin and its consequences. What eyes were opened?

It was their awareness. The spiritual life was cut off from God. Conviction of separation from God. If we read through all the pages of the Old Testament, we can see that humankind always tried to reach God. Sacrifices were involved. But did God let go of his original plan for the world?

No. Because He loved the world so much, He sent Jesus. Because He knew the only way to redeem the world was by shedding the blood of his own son, Jesus.

The Word Redeemer carries a huge significance in our lives. I would like to encourage my readers today. No matter how much mess you are going through, I have good news for you. Your redeemer lives!

Last night, I was talking to the Lord. I asked Him about practical steps on a huge mountain I was facing. I was determined to end it soon. I was asking the Lord what I should do. I am so done living a mediocre life. I know the calling that the Lord has for me.

The Holy Spirit reminded me that He is my redeemer. I felt the presence of God so real in my Spirit, and I went to bed.

I am excited to see how the Lord leads me through this journey. But my prayer is that every step of my walk with God would give him back the Glory.

‘‘Abba, use me as an instrument for your Kingdom. Let your glory so shine in my life, when men see me ,they will see You real in my life.”-R.J.JOHN

There is a colossal statue of Jesus Christ known as Christ the Redeemer at the summit of Mount Corcovado. During your visit, please remember not to idolize the statue. Instead, cherish the architecture and the beauty that comes from it.

The statue of Christ the Redeemer was completed in 1931 and stands 98 feet (30 meters) tall, its horizontally outstretched arms spanning 92 feet (28 meters).

Always remember Jesus Christ is your Redeemer. Do not forsake his Presence. Acknowledging his presence will give you an anointing that crushes every form of demonic oppression. Your life is meant for greatness. This is just the beginning!

Divine Favor

The word Favor came deep into my Spirit when I was about to write today’s note. I believe the Holy Spirit led me to write today’s note on favor.

Psalm 5:12 (NIV) Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.

I meditated on the above verse and realized it was no ordinary favor. But it is favor with a shield.

I was asking the Lord what does it mean. The Holy Spirit reminded me, ”RJ, you carry the favor of God with a shield. Anyone connected to you automatically carries this favor as well.’‘

I felt the word was so real in my Spirit. I knew I had to share my revelation with my readers today. I would like to share two main points connected to divine favor with a shield.

Do you know, friends, what happens when you accept Jesus Christ as the Lord of your life? This divine favor follows you through. If you catch this revelation, your life can only go ahead. Trust me in this! You are no longer fighting with your past struggles.

It is so sad to see Christians who are still looking at their past ancestral generations. Most of this group play victims in their lives. They are trying so many ways to reach God. But sadly, they missed the revelation. Jesus Christ has already come down to earth for all of us. That was why we celebrated Christmas? Remember?

They are trying to fight the past. They do not realize that the only key is to catch the revelation that they belong to Jesus Christ. My only prayer is when you finish reading this note, you will know you are a unique child of God. Do not look at the past.

First, this favor gives you Divine Protection from the enemy’s lies. When you know you are a favored child of God, doors of opportunity will open for you. I want to encourage you today if you have been struggling for years. Now is the season of favor.

This favor would give you a unique cover. There is this special protection upon your life. Reject fear and insecurity out of your life. You have been redeemed by the Precious Blood of Jesus. Enough of the torment and harassment or lack that you are going through. Reject them and acknowledge you carry this special covering upon your life. You are sealed by the precious Blood of Jesus Christ.

1st Peter chap 1 : 18-19 (NIV) ;  For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.

We are redeemed, folks. Isn’t it such a powerful revelation? We are not trying to save ourselves anymore. Or do we need to go back to our ancestors to be redeemed.

We are redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ.

Let us look together at the story of Daniel in the Lion’s Den. I believe there was this divine favor. It acted like a shield and followed him through when he was at the lion’s den.

Daniel 6 : 19-22 (NIV)

19 Very early the next morning, the king got up and hurried out to the lions’ den. 20 When he got there, he called out in anguish, “Daniel, servant of the living God! Was your God, whom you serve so faithfully, able to rescue you from the lions?”

21 Daniel answered, “Long live the king! 22 My God sent his angel to shut the lions’ mouths so that they would not hurt me, for I have been found innocent in his sight. And I have not wronged you, Your Majesty.”

23 The king was overjoyed and ordered that Daniel be lifted from the den. Not a scratch was found on him, for he had trusted in his God

Imagine Daniel in a den full of lions.

Are you someone here going through some form of lion’s den situation?

You are receiving some form of pressure. Are you struggling in one way or another? I would like to remind you today. Jesus Christ is the Lord of your life. His plan is to give you a future and hope. There is no fear. There is no struggle. You are redeemed by Jesus Christ. Everywhere you go, this favor with a shied follows you through. Stop cursing yourself into the den! Rise up. Know who you are in Christ. Do not let circumstances in life shake your faith in Christ. Instead, bless your life more.

Secondly, this favor would give you Special Attention. Special Grace.

There is a promotion around the corner. You would start noticing there is special attention in your life. Probably a free ticket?Or a sponsor?Or a promotion in your career or ministry?Probably a season of abundance?

If you genuinely believe this divine favor follows you, you will start seeing unexplainable doors of opportunities. There will be surprises in 2025.

In the Bible, Joseph’s coat of many colors symbolizes God’s favor and grace.

 Joseph’s story is a story of redemption and forgiveness. This story is told in Genesis chapter 37. Joseph was given a special colored coat by his father. His brothers were jealous of him and sold him into slavery in Egypt. Joseph became the steward of Potiphar, an official of Pharaoh. In Egypt, the Lord’s presence with Joseph enables him to find favor with Potiphar and the keeper of the prison.

Joseph interpreted Pharaoh’s dream, which predicted seven years of plenty followed by seven years of famine. Pharaoh promoted Joseph to the chief administrator of Egypt. 

When I personally reflected on the story of Joseph, I realized that he had divine favor. This favor was evident in each of his seasons. This favor acted as a shield that followed him.

The On Time God

Happy New Year, friends! I hope you embrace the first week of the New Year well. A new year is always the right time to start something new. You can realign old habits into constructive new habits. Of course, it is a great way to start the year right with the Lord.

Yesterday, I received an invitation. The event was organized by ACTS Agapetos Christian Training and Services. I thank the organizers for inviting me; I believe it was a divine meeting. As I was preparing for the session, the Holy Spirit led me to share my own journey of my dream. I was moved to share my faith journey in the online Zoom Seminar.

Do you all have a dream? Or do you all have a vision the Lord revealed to you some time ago? I believe 2025 is a season where the Holy Spirit rekindles some new things in our lives. The good news is that the Lord is never late, never early, and right on time. He is an On Time God.

Let me share with you what I shared with the group yesterday.

In a journey of a dream, there are six seasons. A person goes through these to manifest a particular dream. It is pretty ironic. A decade passed since my book was published and then now I was invited to share my writing journey with the Lord.

The first season is where God places the desires in our hearts. The birth of the Vision.

Realizing God-given desires or goals in a person’s heart is the “birth of a vision.

Psalm 37 4 (NIV); Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart

If you are someone here who is passionate about making a difference, don’t stop what you are doing. If you sing, continue singing. If you preach, continue preaching. If you play the instrument, continue playing. If you serve, continue serving the Lord. If you are working in the marketplace, work like how you serve God.It makes all the difference in how you conduct your work.

The second season is Provision for the Vision.

Whatever the Lord has called you to do, the Lord provides. It can be a business idea. Or you struggle to move into the next phase of your business idea. The good news is that he provides once you dedicate your idea to the Lord. This is true if you are serious about the expansion of the Kingdom. I have also learned that provision is not just monetary. The Lord connects you to the right people at the right time and place.

The third season would be a season of Stagnation.

You feel nothing is moving. Well, for me personally, after my book launch, I felt there was a season of stagnation. There was fear and insecurity about taking the book to another level. I was not confident enough to move ahead, and insecurity ran through my mind. Who would read my book? Who would help finance the book? Who would market the book? So many questions ran through my mind. Hence, I did not move forward.

During this period of stagnation, I stepped away. There was a season of isolation, fear, and insecurity. But it is the same season where the Lord built my maturity. It was a season where I only relied on the Lord. It has helped me grow in the Lord. The Lord also worked on my character and attitude. The season, I thought I was stagnant, but He was doing something behind the scenes. He made me finish my postgraduate studies during this season. When I look back, I know it is the work of the Lord.

Yet, one thing I did not give up during this season was to continue posting notes on my R.J.JOHN page. I didn’t know who was reading the note, but I posted it.

I wanted to do my best to reach the public with the notes. I was browsing through my R.J.JOHN page. I was amazed to see 90 notes posted on this page alone. This number excludes Facebook. I am grateful for this journey.

I also would like to encourage my readers today. If you are in a season of stagnation, now is the best time to move ahead. It is the perfect opportunity to transition to the next season of your life. The correct response to this season will help bring you through. I encourage you all to speak to your stagnant season right now.

 Ezekiel 37 3-5 (NIV) : He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”I said, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know.”4 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! 5 This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.

The 4th season is when God reaches out. This season, there would no longer be a struggle. You have experienced the grace of God, and you know He will carry you through.

The 5th season is Equipping. We must equip ourselves by worshiping and spending time with the Word of God this season. At the same time, the Lord would not leave us alone. He would connect us to faith-like believers to grow our faith.

The last season would be Acceleration. We can only accelerate when there is overflowing grace. I believe this year is a year of Acceleration. There is overflowing Grace in anything you touch and do for 2025. If you believe God for something beyond your human abilities, start prophesying into your situation. Speak to your situation and just know deep in your Spirit. The Grace of God will carry you through.

2nd Corinthians chap 9 : 8 (ESV) And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.

Dear friends, you and I are all in this journey called faith on earth. The good news is the Lord has reached out to all of us today. Have faith. This year is your year of Acceleration. There will be overflowing grace everywhere you go or are connected to. As you do the Work of God, the Good Lord will take care of your loved ones. He will also attend to your most profound desires. Christmas-God came down

I grew up in a Christian home. During Christmas, there are always carols and family gatherings. We attend church services and join in church drama practices. And, of course, there is food.

This year, I heard someone wise preach something very significant. I believe I need to write a note on it.

”Every other religion is trying to reach God.”

”Only in Christianity has God come down to earth to reach out to us. God incarnate by sending his son Jesus to be born as a gift to the world. God came down to earth for you and me.”

It kept me thinking.

If God came down to earth, why do I behave as if I am trying to reach God at times?

I have experienced the love of God in my life. But, when trials and tribulations occur, I feel so demotivated. It’s as if I am trying to reach God.

Have you all experienced such? Do you, at times, feel God is distant. You know the battle you are facing is beyond your human abilities. Only God can change the whole story. It is a pattern of defeat. It is a pattern of struggle. You feel helpless. You don’t know what else to do. Have you all experienced such?

Recently, I faced a few personal issues in my life. I didn’t know what else to do except show my disappointments to the Lord.

”I was frustrated.”

”I was disappointed.”

”I was hurt seeing my loved one cry, and I can’t do anything about it.”

But during this Christmas, I was reminded that God had found me. God reached out His hand to help me. I was reminded His love is real.

The moment the Holy Spirit reminded me God came down to earth for me. Then, I realized I did not need to live a life of struggle. I am to come to a total place of surrender.

The Holy Spirit nudged me to write this Christmas note. I believe this note is to millions out there who are going through one situation or another. I have good news for you. If you have believed and confessed that Jesus Christ is the Lord of your life. God has already reached out to you. You don’t have to try multiple ways or sacrifices to reach God. If you are still doing it, it is pure religion!

More than a decade ago, God has called me to write for Him. The journey of saying Yes to God has brought me to another level of faith in God. There are many more books within my Spirit. I know them, and I know I need to penned them down.

However, the challenges and situations around me don’t allow me to focus and finish what is given to me. This Christmas, I made up my mind. I will focus on the one thing the Lord has given me, which is to write.

I would like to encourage my readers here today. No matter what situation you are going through, there is always a gift or call in your heart. The Lord has placed it there. If you know what it is, whatever the trouble is, focus on it . Draw away from excuses and situations and be obedient to the voice of the Holy Spirit.

During this Christmas season, I was reminded of this verse.

John chap 3:16 (NIV) ”For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son,that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

God loved the world. Meaning God loved you and me. When God came down to earth, it reminded us that we have the Life of God in us. We can never be defeated in life. We are to move forward by the Grace of God.

This Christmas season reminds us that God alone is reaching out to us. Refuse to focus on the past but pick up what is given right now and do what is needed. The key is staying close to the source, which is the Holy Spirit himself.

Whatever matters to you matters to the Lord. It is the Lord who gives ideas to generate wealth. It is the Lord who grants perfect healing. It is the Lord who can turn a mess into a message.

Prayer for today: ” Abba,I pray my story will be a message to the world. Let it be read and played to give you back the glory. Thank you Jesus for coming to the world to save me.Thank you for this gift of eternal life. I praise you with all my life. I will continue praising you forevermore. Fragrance of Christ

When I was about to write today’s note, the word fragrance came deep into my Spirit.

Imagine spending your time with a group of people who smoke. You may not smoke, but you are with a certain group of people who smoke. When you return home, you feel filled with this smoke smell.

What actually happened? The fragrance fell upon you, although you did not smoke. Moreover, medical science has proven that secondary smokers are at a higher risk of getting cancer. So, the person inhaling the smoke is at a health risk. Thus, if you are a smoker, don’t smoke in front of your loved ones.

What does this tell you? Well, we each carry a fragrance, and the place and people we associate with affect the fragrance we carry.

Let us look at the Scriptures and what the Bible tells us about fragrance.

John 12:3. ESV Mary therefore took a pound of expensive ointment made from pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped his feet with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.

This expensive ointment carried a fragrance, filling the whole house with perfume. The fragrance didn’t just stop at the feet. It can fill the whole house with that sweet fragrance smell.

As I mentioned earlier, I believe each of us carries a fragrance. The people we are connected with shape the fragrance we want. Spending time with them influences us.

What fragrance are you carrying today?

When you report for work, how are you at the workplace?

When you are with your loved ones, what fragrance are you carrying? Are you bitter and angry? Do you lash out hurtful words?

I would like to encourage each of my readers today. The fragrance that you and I carry reflects Christ in us. This fragrance can impact our whole house, workplace, ministry, or community circle.

If you carry a fragrance of fear or are easily agitated, you subconsciously translate it into your homes. You pass it on to your loved ones.

If you carry a fragrance of insecurity, the wrong energy is released. This energy affects your spouses and loved ones.

So, what should we do if we are not bringing the right fragrance to our community or loved ones?

The answer is spending time with the Word of God. The more time we spend with the Lord, the more our character will show it. Our actions will also show this change.

Galations chap 5 : 22-23 : But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law

We spend more time with the Word of God. As a result, we renew our minds to His way of thinking. Deep worship, abandonment, and surrender usher us into the Holy Spirit’s presence magnificently.

I had a friend who shared his testimony with me. He had this strong alcohol addiction. Anytime he goes home, he unknowingly brings a fragrance of bitterness. Feelings of guilt were shared with his loved ones. Every day was a struggle. There was no peace at home. Even though he wanted to stop alcohol, he couldn’t.

Things changed until someone brought him to church. He made a clear decision: first, this spirit of addiction must stop. With proper guidance, follow-ups, and cell groups, he overcame the addiction over time. This was simply by the Grace of God.

So what actually happened to this friend of mine? When he was ushered into the right church, the right company of people changed the fragrance he carried. Proper discipleship changed his life. His way of thinking. A new door of opportunity was opened in his life. The addiction left with time. Now he has two children. The past is the past. He shares a new fragrance with his new family and the new generation.

Life has taught me so much that I realize everyone has a story of their own. Nobody is perfect. The good news is that Jesus is perfect. Because He lives in us, we carry the fragrance of Christ.

Someone wise told me this morning that to live without trust is to live a Godless life. When there is a form of pattern of struggle that is taking place in your life today, it is ok. Don’t go looking for mistakes of the past. It can be a health struggle, financial debt, spirit of addiction, fear, rejection, and the list can go on.

First and foremost, we must recognize that the pattern is not from God. Then, take practical steps towards ending the pattern. First, you must be bold enough to exercise your authority in Christ. Declare the word of GOD upon your life.

If you have not been carrying the right fragrance, it is time to move closer in worship. Be in the Lord’s presence and let the fragrance of Christ rub off on you.

Life in Christ can’t be a struggle. It is never our good works to please God. It is His Grace that is enough in our lives. Stop living a life filled with struggle and worry!

The good news is here. As long as you know, believe, and confess, Jesus Christ is the Lord of your life. There are no mistakes. He takes care of every single detail of your life.

I am just moved to speak LIFE to my readers today.

I speak Jesus into your life.

I speak Jesus into your situation.

I speak Jesus into your challenges today.

I speak Jesus into any form of addiction you are in right now. I rebuke it in Jesus name.

Remember this, you carry the fragrance of Christ. You can’t be defeated. You can’t be a victim. You are a victor in Christ. Be in the right circle of people. Anywhere we go, we carry the anointing of Christ. Any difficult situation that comes in contact with us must dissolve. This is because we carry the fragrance of Christ. I thank you for each of my readers today. Bless them abundantly, Lord. I pray for a miraculous week ahead. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.

1. Spend some time in deep worship. As the year ends, take the next 21 days to create a new habit in you. Early morning prayer. Worship sessions and pick one book of the Bible to finish reading before the year ends.

No turning Back

Hello readers. How have you all been? Today, the Holy Spirit has been reminding me not to turn back. Have you all experienced something in the past, and the past is holding you back from moving ahead?

It can be a relationship.

It can be some dark memories that have been strongholds in your life that have limited your movement ahead.

It can be some past financial mishap that has trapped you inside and is an unexplainable mess.

Or it can just be a solid wrong mindset that has been your wrong belief system.

If we look at the Bible, some scriptures remind us not to look back. One of the famous stories is the story of Lot’s wife.

The story is recounted in Genesis 19: 1–38. Lot his wife and two daughters were visited by two angels who urged them to flee the city of Sodom before its imminent destruction by God. As they fled, Lot’s wife disobeyed the angels’ command to not look back and was turned into a pillar of salt.

Genesis chap 19: 17: As they fled, the angels warned them, “Escape for your life! Do not look behind you, and do not stay anywhere in the valley; escape to the mountains, or you will be swept away.”

Genesis chap 19: 26: ”Lot ran, his daughters close behind. “But his wife, from behind him, looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.”

Why did Lot’s wife disobey here? Why did she look back? She may have longed for the things behind.

Looking back here can refer to ”to regard” , ”to consider ”, or ”to pay attention to”.

Do you all remember when the Lord has called you to do something for Him? Do you all remember His clear instructions for your life. Do you all remember deep down in your Spirit?

Have you all paid attention to the wrong things in life?

You know and know you need to do certain things in life. However, challenges and distractions in life may limit you from moving forward. The main issue is that you keep looking back. You keep turning back. You may be turning yourself back to your old self. Your old way of thinking. Your old way of doing things is not right in the eyes of the Lord.

The Lord has been reminding me many times of the importance of obedience as well. As believers in Christ, we can only move forward by the Grace of God. We must be obedient to whatever He has called us to do.

Ephesians chap 4 :22-24 22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

As we spend more time with the Word of God,with the Holy Spirit,our former way of life is replaced with this Life of God in us that we have.

Things become different. The way we look and perceive things becomes different. This is simply because we are no longer our old selves.A new self has been created in the likeness of God.It is a daily process that we come before the Lord with this renewed self.

I would like to encourage each of my readers here not to turn back or look back.Stop paying attention to unnecessary things in your life.Your future is bright.Very bright.You just need to move forward ,being obedient to the call that the Lord has called you into.

It may be a new phase ahead of you. Trust the Lord and do what is needed. His promise is never to leave you nor forsake you.

Rain of Favor

”Today morning, the Holy Spirit spoke deep into my Spirit.”Rain of Favor R.J. ”

I recognized it was the Voice of the Holy Spirit.

I instantly looked up towards Heaven. I was thankful for the Word planted deep into my Spirit this morning.

Ecclesiastes 3: 1 There is a time for everything,
    and a season for every activity under the heavens.

This note is for everyone who wants to move into the next season of their life. Each of my readers here today is in an abundance of favor.

There is a time for everything. This is the time for the rain of favor upon your life. Rain of abundance in everything you touch and do in your life.

Deuteronomy 11:14;  then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil.

The rain spoken in this verse is the rain of favor. When there is rain, the land releases its fruit, life, and freshness, and every form of dryness leaves.

In other words, when there is a rain of favor, you will start seeing the fruit and the freshness. You would start seeing the result of the favor. The dry season in your lives will be replaced with this abundance of rain. Isn’t it amazing?

Have you all been in a season of dryness?

Have you all been facing challenges? Are you trying to escape from any form of addiction, struggle, or trap?

It can be a health challenge, relationship issue, work, or a sense of emptiness or loneliness. Or you have a significant financial burden that you silently carry on your back.

Only you and God know the real struggle behind whatever you are going through. It is years of battle. People mock your situation and throw hurtful words during the dry season.

I have some good news for you. There is a rain of favor for you in this new season. Be expectant to witness the fruits of the favor.

Dear readers, imagine there is a cloud above you. Within the cloud, water droplets condense onto one another, causing the droplets to grow. When these water droplets get too heavy to stay suspended in the cloud, they fall to earth as rain.

I would like to encourage my readers to bless your life more. Use words to bless yourself more. As you continue blessing your life more, imagine your words are droplets forming the cloud above you. This is the season to witness an abundance of rain of favor. The cloud is too heavy. It is pouring out as rain of favor upon your life today.

Luke 1:28- 28 And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; [a]blessed are you among women!” 

The angel appeared to Mary and said you are advantageous. You have been singled out. The angel did not go to the temple. The angel did not go to Herod’s palace. Instead, the angel chose to go to Maria and say, “You are highly favored.”

What does this Rain of Favor do?

God’s Favor will distinguish you.

God’s Favor will single you out supernaturally in everything as He has chosen you.

God’s Favor means you will be provided with advantages.

God’s Favor does not bypass you. He does not bypass your needs and struggles in life.

God’s Favor also means he is extending His kindness and mercy into your life.

God’s Favor also means there is this supernatural shield of protection around you.

Be excited for the next season of your life. It is going to be the most life-changing transformation that is going to take place in your life. As you trust God, this Rain of Favor is released upon your life. It is taking you to nations, to Kings and palaces, and you would be a blessing to many around you. You are proclaiming the Gospel by simply being you as you carry this favor of God.

You would be so amazed by this abundance of favor in your life. You don’t earn it. You just receive it simply because You are the Child of God.

Prayer for today: ” I thank you, Lord, for this season of Rain of Favor upon me and my readers. I thank you, Lord. You are the Lord who carries us through every season of our lives. Let our life glorify your name alone, Jesus. Thank you, Lord. We are moving forward with the grace of God. Use these inspirational notes to give you back the Glory, Lord.
