Favour-Season to Get It Sorted

Today, as I was driving to work, the Holy Spirit dropped one powerful word into my spirit.

“FAVOUR.”

Just one word. Yet it carried such a powerful reminder.

Interestingly, a cherished friend of mine shared these words with me:

“This is the season to get it sorted.”

As I reflected on these words, something stirred within me.

I believe that no matter what season we are walking through, God’s favour is still available to us.

Perhaps today, you are carrying something that no one else knows about.

A health challenge that seems overwhelming.

A financial struggle that keeps you awake at night.

A broken relationship that seems impossible to restore.

Or perhaps a situation that has remained unresolved for so long that you have almost given up hope.

But what if this is the season for things to begin turning around?

What if the very situation that has been troubling you becomes the place where you experience God’s favour in a way you never imagined?

Imagine the very place where you have been struggling; God uses that same situation to turn situations around.

Imagine the very situation that brought you so much fear; it is the very same situation that turned the mess into a message.

Let me bring you three figures in the Bible as we come across the word Favor.

Esther — Favour That Changed Her Destiny

Esther 2:17 (NKJV)

“So she obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins.”

Esther was an orphan who became queen and was eventually positioned to save her people.

Here we see that God’s favour can position you for a purpose greater than you ever imagined. Sometimes, God’s favour is not about changing your circumstances immediately, but positioning you for what is coming.

Have you ever found yourself in a particular place or position, wondering why you are there? Do not fret. Instead, look unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith. Always remember, you are positioned where you are for a reason. It is not by coincidence, but for a greater purpose in life. You may not understand it now, but trust that God has a purpose for placing you exactly where you are.

Ruth — Favour in a Season of Loss

Ruth 2:10 (NKJV)

“Why have I found favor in your eyes, that you should take notice of me, since I am a foreigner?”

Ruth had lost her husband and faced an uncertain future. Yet, through her faithfulness and the kindness of Boaz, her circumstances began to change.

In this story of Ruth we see God’s favour can meet us even in seasons of loss, uncertainty and new beginnings. Ruth’s story reminds us that even when life seems uncertain, God can open unexpected doors.Ruth walked into a field looking for provision, not knowing that she was stepping into a new chapter of her destiny. Sometimes, God’s favour meets us in the most unexpected places, even in the most difficult seasons of our lives.”

Are you facing closed doors in your life today? Perhaps in a relationship, an opportunity, or a situation where you simply cannot seem to find a way forward. As I was meditating on the story of Ruth, it dawned on me that the Lord Almighty can open doors in the most unexpected ways and in the most unexpected seasons of our lives. What may seem like a closed door today could be the beginning of something greater that God has prepared for you.

Mary — Highly Favoured by God

Luke 1:28 (NKJV)

“Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”

Mary was an ordinary young woman chosen for an extraordinary purpose.

Yet being highly favoured did not mean her journey would be easy. She faced uncertainty, responsibility and eventually profound sorrow.

Mary was an ordinary young woman from Nazareth, living a simple life. She was engaged to Joseph, with dreams and expectations for her future. But one day, everything changed.

The angel Gabriel appeared to her with an extraordinary announcement. She had found favour with God and had been chosen to give birth to Jesus, the Son of God.

Imagine Mary’s situation.

She was young, unmarried and about to face circumstances that could bring misunderstanding, rejection and uncertainty.

I would like to just encourage my readers today,do not loose hope in whatever situation you are. The Lord Jesus is real, and He wants to change your circumstances today. Yes, this is the season to get IT sorted.

As I come to the end of this note today, I would like to declare these verses over your life. My prayer is that a new season will unfold for you, filled with renewed hope and God’s favour. Whatever you may be going through, remember that God knows your situation, and His timing is always perfect. Keep trusting Him and never lose hope.

Yes, this is the season to get IT sorted. And by “IT”, I mean that very situation you have been praying about, struggling with, or waiting for a breakthrough in. May the favour of God be upon you!

Psalm 90:17 (ESV)
Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!

Ephesians 2:8-9 (ESV)
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Numbers 6:25-26 (ESV)
The Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace

I would also love for you to take a moment to listen to the YouTube song I’ve shared below. I pray that it speaks to your heart and brings you encouragement, just as it has to mine. And if this little note has blessed you today, do share it with someone who may be going through a difficult season. You never know who might need these words of hope and encouragement today. Stay blessed!
