The Shavuot

Today was the first time I heard someone say we are at the time of the Feast of Shavuot. At first, I didn’t understand the meaning of this festival so I took some time to do some reading about this festival.

Shavuot, the “Feast of Weeks,” is celebrated seven weeks after Passover. Shavuot takes place exactly 50 days after the first seder. (ceremonial meal and telling of the Passover story on the first two nights of Passover.)Shavuot is also referred to sometimes as Pentecost. (My Jewish Learning)

Today evening on 6th June 2022 I had my own experience of the festival of Shavuot. There was an ongoing prayer session in a Christian Conference, I went forward wanting to have an encounter with the Lord. The Pastor who was ministering touched my forehead and I just fell under the anointing of the Spirit.

Many years ago I had this experience and I was filled with joy to experience this Glory of God on me. It was an unexplainable feeling but I just knew something supernatural took place. As I was slain by the Spirit, God brought me to many nations. I could see notes and the Lord’s footprints. I saw the world map and a white scarf with footprints with my notes to these many nations. The Lord reminded me, that my writings do not belong to me but it is for the Lord. The Lord reminded me of His Gift upon my life. I felt my Spirit left my physical body at that moment and the Lord took me to many nations.

Acts chap 1:The 8 (NIV) But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The anointing was so heavy on me that I just couldn’t wake up until the Holy Spirit told me,” You need this for your next assignment.”I felt the Glory of God was upon me that I couldn’t sleep that I just had to wake up and write this note. The Word ”Shavuot” was just ringing in my mind.

The Torah was given by God to the Jewish people on Mount Sinai on Shavuot more than 3,300 years ago. Every year on the holiday of Shavuot the people would renew their acceptance of God’s gift and God ”re-gives” the Torah. Torah literally means ” instruction ”-meaning some sort of guidance in life. But when Jews say “Torah,” they’re most likely speaking of the Five Books of Moses, the foundation of all Jewish instruction and guidance. (Chabad.Org Library)

Are you at a season where you need to receive from the Lord again? The Lord freely gives to anyone who comes before His Throne. Sometimes we make life so complicated without acknowledging the work of the Holy Spirit in us. Without the Holy Spirit in us, the gifts and calling that God has given to us become very difficult and frustrating. It is not the Lord’s plan. Take advantage of the Holy Spirit in you today to fulfill the calling of God in your life. The Holy Spirit would want to use our gifts to fulfill the destiny the Lord has for each and every one of us.

I just want to say ”Thank you, Lord, for this revisitation. I love you very much.Let your Glory be revealed in my life. Help me keep this Torah close to my heart.”Amen.

  1. Wonderful experience. The Holy Spirit will guide you and cause you to experience the reality of the purpose for this anointing.
